Way better than I thought they would be and the taco portions are massive! I got the smash taco and the shrimp large taco, both great!!

Today, 2/29/24 was a very disappointing meal from them. I’ve eaten here at least 4-5 times now on separate occasions and had a good meal, but it was just so bad today :( we already voiced the issues to the cashier but they didn’t do anything to fix the issue. I’ve recommended them in my previous review but updating here to note the main criticisms. To start, their double cheese burger is priced at $14 but I got charged $15 at the register. I asked about the pricing and she said “oh it might’ve just gone up” but didn’t adjust to match what is shown.Second, I ordered fries as well, but my burger plate also came with fries on the side. No where on the specials board did it mention it came with some fries. I ended up returning the side of fries for a refund. I’m glad I didn’t keep the extra fries either since they weren’t crispy hot. Just limp and lukewarm..Their secret sauce was also way too acidic and sour. It didn’t make it tasty. The burger patty was under seasoned and I had to put salt on it. My bun was too wet and buttered to where it became soggy.I was just really sad about my meal especially recommending 2 more friends to come try it since we had a good experience with the burger in our last visit earlier in the month (last visit was 2/2/24). Just stick to their burritos and tacos.

This was my third time ordering the birria grilled cheese special - it is one of the best things I've eaten in Santa Barbara! But, sadly, this past time I ordered it, they didn't seem to grill it long enough (see photo). The cheese wasn't all the way melted and it didn't have a full coating of crispy bread on the outside like usual. The other two times I had it were both phenomenal! The esquites was refreshing and delicious.

I went on a Saturday and no one was there, I asked for my order and it took them about 30 minutes to give it to me. Then I went to ask if my food was ready or was it going to take longer, to which they told me that it had been ready for a while but they couldn't find a bowl to put my birria broth in. When they finally gave me my food the tortillas for my tacos were cold ?. However, the food was delicious! I highly recommend the asada street tacos. If wouldn’t be for that inconvenient I would give them 5 stars ⭐️

The plantains were very delicious as well as the guacamole (but the portion could be bigger). We will come back to try the tacos.

I ordered the bomb.com baked potato with sudadero/ brisket meat and it was so yummy and huge. My fiancé got a chicken taco, asada, chorizo taco and he liked them.

On walkabout downtown and was craving a taco. And what goes great with a taco? An M Special IPA, of course...so how awesome is it that this new Corazon spinoff is located inside M Special on State Street!? Serendipity? I think so... The birria taco was amazing (as was the IPA), and I'll be back!

This was a fun little find in downtown Santa Barbara. Tucked in off the State Street behind a brewery, their tacos and quesadillas were delicious and filling, flavors were rich & complex and hit the spot for a savory meal. Must try!

One of my favorite taquerias in SB! The carne asada taco was SO GOOD and their shrimp ceviche with jicama was delicious!! Friendly cashier with great recommendations. This taqueria is located at the back of M Special brewery so you can get great food and beer! I came on a Friday around 3PM with my husband and we found a large picnic table outside, it was very relaxing and other people sat at our table too and it was nice to talk to them.

Amazing food, very fresh, and hand made tortillas that has tasteful quality. The quesabirria taco was amazing and the consome was rich. The torta de asada was perfection with a crispy and soft bread and melting cheese. Perfect place for a quick bite when grabbing a M. Special beer! Highly recommend

Taqueria inside a brewery? Yes, please! Beast Taqueria is a new Corazon Cocina SB restaurant inside of M Special on State Street. It just opened recently and I was excited to give it a try. It did not disappoint! I went with a group of 4 so we got to try a variety of items. We all really liked our food selections. We got everything from a torta de asada to butternut squash taquitos. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I personally got a Ensenada fish taco and mar y taco (surf and turf) and they were both sooo good! Tacos are a good size so order accordingly. I think our least favorite were the taquitos only because we like them to have a nice crunch throughout but they sure didn't skimp on size or filling. The torta is $2 off on Thursdays so my husband tried that. He described it as a chile relleno with carne asada in a torta roll which is a win to me! It has that nice melty crust of cheese. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed their meal. Cashier was helpful in answering our questions or giving suggestions. He gave us all the salsas to try which was also fun. Majority loved their peanut salsa and oil based one. They weren't too spicy and all had good flavor. Overall, I'd definitely recommend and go back myself. Love Corazon Cocina restaurants and this one is no different.

Ordered the mushroom burrito and it is massive and worth the price. Their fresh tortilla is amazing. Flakey and soft and I love that they grill the burrito for a nice golden crust. They loaded up in the mushrooms and each bite was a soft and pillowy. I need salsa with every bite and the guy at the cashier was really nice and gave me one of everything to try. I'd def come again for a burrito fix with their other protein options. No frills and you get to enjoy delicious m special beer too!

Right inside of M-Special you can grab some delicious Mexican food. I got the vampire taco and was a bit confused at first because after the name vampire taco there is a (2) so I thought it was two tacos but turns out it's too tortillas. It's a solid size though. Almost like a mullita. The flavor was delicious and on point. Loved the crispness of the taco. Great prices too. Highly recommend
