My wife and I were in town for our 12 year wedding anniversary and had breakfast here. The food and service was great along with the flight of mimosas :) We wish we would have came here a 2nd time while on our trip.

Very busy spot but nice breakfast brunch spot right across the beach. Food was good and service pretty fast. We stood in line for probably 10 minutes but they offer refreshments while waiting. We walked from our Place but they do have parking in the back. Pancakes were yummy.

Chad's gets 2 stars. Gene the Magician gets 5/5 stars. HANDS DOWN. We waited in line for chads for over 30 mins but was entertained by Gene on Sunday. Thank you Gene for making the wait time go by swiftly! We also got drinks while waiting. Not even a buzz. Lol Chad's; We waited 30 mins in line. Waited another 30 mins in the restaurant until CJ came to take our order. Waited another 30 mins for the food to come. Cold. American breakfast. Waited another 30 mins for another server to check in on us. Overall, if you want to waste your morning spent at CHAD'S go for it but expect the mediocre service and breakfast.

Was strolling by and it caught my eye. The food and service are first rate! They start off with these amazing mini muffins fresh out of the oven and go from there Destination place for breakfast

Chads formerly sambos located right across from the beach front of Santa Barbara. An absolute fan favorite by the line of people outside or maybe it was the curb side bar that is served in to go cups! Either way it was on and popping even with the periodic rain clouds that would drift by and sprinkle down. You knew you were in for a good morning when the restaurant has a magician who hangs out front to entertain guests with his slight of hand. The restaurant has all the best vibes of a classic old school diner with the modern vibes of the current times. The food upscale diner all day! From burgers to Benedict to stacks of pancakes bigger than my toddler! There was something for everyone and everyone was happy!!

Breakfast/Brunch is probably my favorite meal of the day. And Chad's is an amazing restaurant and everybody needs to come here, especially if you're a breakfast lover like myself. The food here is very good. The mimosas are EXTREMELY good! The vibe inside of Chads is awesome, it has the classic diner feel to it with booths and diner stools. You can see the kitchen going crazy with the constant stream of people coming in and out. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Even on such a Hot morning the staff was keeping a smile on their faces even tho they were going in and out of the restaurant. I believe that the complimentary muffins they give you when you sit down are some of the best. While eating we watched the cook walk by with about 10 pounds worth of them fresh from the oven. Will definitely be returning

Great spot for brunch with outdoor seating right across the street from the beach. My husband said the corned beef hash was the best he'd ever had. I enjoyed my omelette and mimosa flight.

We visited on 9/5/22 around 1pm for brunch. We were headed back to the Bay Area but wanted to stop by SB to grab something to eat. Honestly, I'm not trusting these 4 to 5 star reviews as our experience was far from that. The wait in line wasn't too bad and the hostess was attentive. A few minutes after we were seated, a gentleman came and took our drink order, and shortly after, another gentleman brought over some yummy mini muffins. After about 10-15 minutes, our waitress, April, shows up but does not greet us and seemed she did not want to be there. Instead, she just asked what we'd like to order. That's fine, I can look past that. The food finally came after 25-30 minutes and not once during that time did we see our waitress, get an update on the wait for food, or get any refills on our coffee. My husband ordered the corned beef Benedict which he enjoyed. My kids liked their waffles and pancakes. I ordered the steak and eggs and asked it be cooked medium. Instead, the steak was well done and I was very disappointed. I didn't want to send it back because I didn't want to risk waiting another 30 minutes. Our waitress checked on us only once and again, we didn't see her at all until we were done eating. It was only then where she wasted no time clearing our plates, getting us a to-go container, and bringing the check. Our experience here was not great, mostly due to the service. I couldn't wait to get the bill and leave. In addition, the women's restroom was filthy. There were paper towels everywhere and no toilet seat covers. If ever visiting SB, we won't come back.

Probably our favorite breakfast place, but in an ideal tourist-serving location, so arrive early or be prepared to wait. I usually order the Garden Omelette, which is nearly perfect. However, for change of pace recently, I ordered eggs with chicken sausage, and couldn't finish it because it was dry and tasteless. They need to find another chicken sausage supplier! Great staff, unbeatable location, and unlike some other shorefront restaurants, their prices are reasonable. When they start serving a palatable chicken sausage, I'll give them 5 stars.

We stopped here for breakfast and left very happy! Food was delicious and service was great! We sat outside and got to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful view of the ocean. They bring out homemade mini muffins with butter when you sit. That was a nice little sweet treat. My husband got the Eggs Benedict and house potatoes, while I got the Fire Breakfast Burrito with house potatoes. The potatoes are pretty good. Everything was very tasty, but my husband said the hollandaise sauce was a tad on the vinegar-y side. We left satisfied and enjoyed ourselves! We would come back, for sure.

Recommended by our hotel. Both our breakfasts were great - mine was standard 2 egg breakfast and hubby had eggs Benedict - and we loved their coffee.

Good breakfast hotspot. Get there by 9:30 or the line will be quite long. We had omelettes which were good. They had almond milk as a option for coffee.

I'm embarrassed to say that as a ten year Santa Barbarian this was my first time here. Now that I'm over my embarrassment, let me rave about this place! I got here on a Wednesday at 10:50am and there was a moderate line (nothing like on the weekends). Thankfully it went quickly and there was plenty of seating inside. Our waitress was very sweet but I wish she refilled my water glass without me asking. That aside, the food was phenomenal! This place has a whole team of staff that make fresh, delicious food and you don't have to wait too long. My California eggs Benedict was soooo delicious and flavorful. The fruit bowl had a mix of melon, berries and strawberries! Impressive to have more than just melon. My friend enjoyed her breakfast and mimosa flight. So many items on the menu looked good! I'll be back to try more.

Now I have heard the stories about Chad's - the food, the outdoor views, the lines on the weekend. The minute I found myself off on a Friday, I immediately took the opportunity to go and I was not disappointed at ALL! Stopped in around noon and we were immediately seated with the choice of indoor or outdoor. If the day is nice, do outdoor as you have great views of the beach, ocean, and people watching! After placing our orders, we were given complimentary mini muffins while we waited and I was so surprised! The muffins were warm, soft and sweet! I ordered the Tiger Special with a Mimosa flight. The special was great but the mimosa flight was just okay to me. Next time I go would like to try the option of getting a glass and asking the servers for favor combinations as the menu says! Chad's has definitely made its way up there with my favorite brunch spots in SB!

I found this place through the help of visitSantaBarbara.com and I'm glad I selected this beachfront joint. The majority of my party ordered a Benedict plate + a Santa Barbara Burger. We were all satisfied with the overall taste of the Benedicts along with the sides you can pick that come with each plate. The location and hospitality were superior. Shoutout to the gentleman within the team that brought my party a Salsa Verde, everyone enjoyed the sauce. -IG: @eatingwithricardo
