Food was amazing. Unfortunately our server was MIA. He did not check on us once after our food came until it was time for the bill. We had to tell another staff member we were ready to order.

Gumbo, card magician, drinks, singing; all good signs of a fine establishment.

Fun and lively restaurant with killer west coast Cajun cuisine. I was lucky enough to be in while Louisiana coastal red snapper was available… blackened to perfection and oh so buttery. Everyone else at the table was pleased with their meals. The full restaurant rendition of What a Wonderful World was charming followed with a cheers from the staff. The magician was fun too!

Food is amazing. I've been coming here for decades. This is gourmet Cajun food and the chef is sensational, order anything, you will love it.The chocolate or bread pudding souffles should be ordered when you first get seated due to prep time.Check the hours, they are dinner only at time of this review.Press the reserve button here on Google Maps or call for a reservation, especially if coming at a peak time, we came for an early dinner on a Sunday in January of 2024 and were able to get a last minute reservation for 5:30.

Unfortunately, a shell of what it used to be. We are a low maintenance group, but our douche bag hipster nerd server (Louis?) topped off our apathetic service with an eyeroll when we had the gall to ask for a take home box. Overpriced Disneyland fare nowadays.

Loved the ambience. Loved their popcorn crawfish! We tried their big easy platter, but it wasn't as amazing as I expected. It was good to try everything from redfish to chicken in one plate, but their seafood items were a bit underwhelming. Rice and fillet mignon were amazing though. Their bread pudding souffle was alright, probably won't get it next time we visit. A bit pricey compared to other restaurants of similar quality in the neighborhood.

I've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years and try to come here for dinner when in Santa Barbara. My last visit was the first time I've eaten here without a full dining room, there were many tables available. Back in the day, there was a line out the front door wrapping around the corner onto State St. of eager diners anticipating a great Cajun/Croele meal. This visit, the food was okay, not as good as I remember. The muffins are still very good. We got two cocktails served in maison jars, and they were okay.I appreciate the value of a good spiel, but our server was too scripted and didn't seem interested in us. We tipped 20% on our bill but then discovered the server added another $60 to his gratuity, and I'm currently disputing this charge. All in all, I think this restaurant has lost me. I may not come back after this disappointing experience. There are too many good options in town.

The Palace Grill was a delight, combining great food with with a fun and perky environment. They were clearly aiming for the New Orleans ambience and nailed it. The Cajun popcorn was great and the redfish outstanding. The little buns to start were good, although a bit sweet and doughy. People love the soufflé- and with good reason. The Cajun martini was definitely exotic, although in the end not quite as strong as it tasted. It felt like the dining room was full of people having a good time and the communal singing of its a wonderful world seemed very appropriate. Memorable!

The palace grill is quite charming. The food is absolutely delicious. Such an amazing vibe. It's like stepping into New Orleans Louisiana! The seafood is excellent. Get the Oysters Rockefeller, they are outstanding. The flavor profile of the all the dishes I've had is just unbelievable. This place is easy to find, it's on Cota, in between Joes and Foxtail. Make sure you go to this place if you're a local or just visiting. You won't be disappointed.Parking: Park on the street or at the lot across the street.
