Food is really good, with some really unique dishes like paan sev poori, aloo tukk chaat options. It is definitely not authentic/traditional Indian but a great take on modern Indian cuisine. Great for a non-indian as well!Vegetarian options: Aloo tukk, gol gappe

The ambience is chic modern and is a 5/5. The staff graced us warmly. However, the options for us were limited to the point that we walked away.Jaks has a vegan menu on the website, but does not have it at the restaurant. There were a few options marked as vegan on the regular menu but the server mentioned these can no longer be made vegan. I was surprised because he seemed to think it was not a big deal. No tandoori roti/roti/chapati was available which is a first at an Indian restaurant. We had no choice but to walk away.

I reserved a table (for 2) through Google. When we arrived we were taken to the outdoor seating area. At 6:30pm on a cold evening, the corner table provided to us was extremely uncomfortable and far away from the grossly ill-equipped heating arrangements. It was windy and the dining experience was rather uncomfortable. We requested to be moved to another table. There were plenty of places available yet we were told that's not possible. We asked for a portable heater but that wasn't available as well. I wonder why in many of these Indian restaurants I always feel like I'm at the receiving end of some major favor (like those engineering viva days when instructors would give off the feeling that 'although you don't deserve it we will send an A grade to the university'). I mean you still charge the full amount for your food (and you aren't even grading my viva exam) then why the weirdly pretentious attitude?Service was overall very shabby. Sadly the attitude and body language of the servers didn't go with the supposed grandeur of the decor. Finally, the food was disappointing. Chicken items strongly felt were made with off-the-shelf bulk frozen chicken. The jackfruit kofta curry was interesting and was probably the only item that wasn't outrightly disappointing. The Lucknawi Biriani has nothing remotely 'Lucknow" about it. If only you could decor and almond-drizzle your way to a good Biriani! Wouldn't that be a nice world to live in. *SighOverall, pretty average Indian restaurant decked and wrapped in a lot of glitter, but very poor bang for buck! Not recommended.

Good food but more options are needed. Service was very slow and inexperienced staffs. More westernized India food. Jackfruit curry and Gol gabba are instant hit.

Decent food, nothing to rave about though, menu is quite unoriginal, copied from other restaurants in the area. Mango ghevar was terrible, the ghevar was fried in old oil. Service is bad, but outdoor seating has a nice ambiance.

Food is not bad, but when you pay the bill, it starts with 20% or 25% minimum tips, I want to give tips, but not like 25%, this makes ppl really uncomfortable, food is ok, not great, but these ppl work at jacks are paid so low and bunch of homeless ppl and relying on tips? Funny..

Service is horrible, they forget about the table. Have to go to the bar to grab the drinks after waiting for 30 minutes. Bartender was nice enough to get them for us. Food is hit and miss, some dishes were good like lamb chops, butterchicken and some were just okayish, not worth paying that much money for a small portion.THE WORST PART WAS LACK OF CUTLERY, THEY DONT HAVE PLATES FOR MAINCOURSE AND EXPECT GUESTS TO EAT OUT OF SMALL APPETIZER PLATE. Serving indian food and no place to keep your bread other than in your hands. One more thing it is just regular indian restaurant nothing contemporary.

Good food and good ambience.Servers were taking away plate like as soon as we finish or about to finish the food. Had to ask them to leave the plate as we were working on it. It was around 8.30 so not even closing time...

I think this is the best Modern India n restaurant in Santa Clara Sunnyvale.Had Gol gappa, Gunpowder Cauliflower, Lamb Panchphoron Paan cocktail. All of them excellent. The Gunpowder cauliflower was amazing. Lightly spiced. The lamb was really tender. And came with daal jeera rice and halg parathha.
