I do enjoy this spot for its pina coladas. They don't have a kitchen and it's very minimalistic, but it's cute, dark and quaint. If you like that for a quick escape, check it out! Prices aren't bad either.

I love this bar. Great design and atmosphere without trying too hard. The staff was super friendly and cool. I went there on a Sunday night, had a great cocktail and watched a killer pop-up comedy show that was really really good. Didn't expect a Sunday night to be that great. Can't wait to go back on a weekend.

I want to tread lightly on this review because I think Jj’s bar and grill does a good job in serving it’s purpose at least in my life. I only go there on an occasional Friday night for karaoke since it’s local to me. I can’t honestly say that I’ve tried the food so I can’t really give an honest opinion on it but it’s definitely a divey bar feel but with tables so it makes it more of a dive restaurant ambience. The bathrooms are borderline gross and I would say the prominent smell in the air is of stale beer mixed in with some BO. But again I’m going there to hang out with my friends, drink, laugh and sing and for that JJs excels at making you feel comfortable And Even it’s no lights on rule allows the shy patrons to comfortably hide and blend in well . Also, it is right near Cal arts and frequently they’ll be some students going up to sing and absolutely killing it which is totally fun to watch! This review would not be complete though without mentioning Debbie, the karaoke disc jockey. She does a very good job of keeping the rotation tight and I’ve noticed that her sound equipment has improved tremendously from the first time I ever went there and she is an absolute hoot and a sweetheart and makes all the pitch challenged singers feel like stars making the karaoke experience even more enjoyable!

One of my preferred spots for tasty Bar food. Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. The bill was reasonable I would say. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.
