First time here. Fish collar is 10/10 and beyond expectation. Charcuterie board is 8/10. Cheese burger is from the kids menu. We will be back.

Made reservations for my birthday on OpenTable for lunch on Sunday. They were very accommodating. I had to push my reservation back 15 minutes because of a traffic accident. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was pretty empty. You could tell staff that the rush had just finished and they were exhausted but friendly. Service was slow but warm and welcoming. Tried the hot brown. The flavor was good. Too many potatoes but an ample amount of sauce as well. Having had a real hot brown at the Brown in Kentucky all I can say is they did their best. Next time I go, I will try something different. Our waitress was very friendly and did bring a birthday piece of cheesecake.

Terrible service beginning to end! Sat at a table and basically ignored for 15 minutes. No draft beer due to a problem w line though a few chain brands in cans/bottles were available. Fish n chips arrived on a wobbly tray. Fish was more batter than filet and very overcooked. Coleslaw was slightly more than a thimble. For $23 I expected more. Waited again for check as waitress apologized she forgot. Ugh. Won’t be back and that’s a certainty.

Drink prices were great - bartender didn't know how to make the drink we requested but he was incredibly accommodating and made it to perfection!

I was honestly surprised with how good the food was. When you think of pub food, you can could get it anywhere but this food was very much elevated. I got the salmon plate and that was one of the best crispy skin salmons I've had in a long time. My partner got the fish and chips and he said the same. One of the best fish and chips he has had. Other dishes that were had was the Philly and the smash burger. All really delicious dishes. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Atmosphere counts for a lot in my book, and Newhall Refinery has one of the best I have seen in Santa Clarita, especially for a gastropub. I don't think my pictures will do it justice. The theme is Western/California, it is warm, cozy, rustic and clever with little extras like nails coming out of the rough-hewn picture frames and leather-like upholstery. Since there is a cow-country theme in Newhall anyway, I thought this was a nice way to emphasize it. Now, for the menu -- not a lot for vegetarians. I always manage to cobble together things so I had the Drunk Mac and it was very good, rich and flavorful. My friends had Fish and Chips and pronounced it excellent. There were salads, a cheese board with fruit, and an Impossible Burger for those who are looking for variety. Next time I will hit the brunch time slot so I can try other things that look good on that menu. The music was a plus -- Baby Boomer stuff, mostly 70s and 80s, very upbeat and at just the right volume level. The restaurant was largely full and stayed that way while we were there on a rainy afternoon. We had a reservation and were seated in the place of our choice. Everything was clean and our server, Steven, was a joy. Friendly, professional, efficient -- couldn't be better. We all had dark beer including Old Rasputin and Moose Drool Brown -- love those names and they were very good, I had my 3 ounces, LOL. Dessert was exceptional and unusual: Strawberry Rye Bread pudding, rich and delicious but somehow light and elegant. You have to try it. I loved the place. I would like them to take the bacon out of the Brussels sprouts or at least offer a version without it. Maybe add a non-Impossible-style burger (tastes too much like meat for me) made from legumes, etc. But those are just little tweaks. Overall, it is a great casual spot that adds to the growing importance and fun on Main Street, in Old Town Newhall. This is now heading toward the top of my local list. Don't miss it.

Very poor experience with food, service and follow up after complaint. They need to train their servers much more thoroughly. Management team needs to be more hands on as well.

Food is ok but not remarkable in any way. Service staff seem to be completely stoned. Good beer list. Food at old town junction is better.

Food is a bit pricey for the quality. It was ok but not impressed.

Love this place. Food is great. Staffs are so polite and courteous. We will be back 100%.

Delicious chicken, but get that salmon and the creamy polenta. Holy smokes. Taps could use some improvement and the Brussel Sprouts had vastly too much vinegar or too little salt.
