I was honestly surprised with how good the food was. When you think of pub food, you can could get it anywhere but this food was very much elevated. I got the salmon plate and that was one of the best crispy skin salmons I've had in a long time. My partner got the fish and chips and he said the same. One of the best fish and chips he has had. Other dishes that were had was the Philly and the smash burger. All really delicious dishes. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
Atmosphere counts for a lot in my book, and Newhall Refinery has one of the best I have seen in Santa Clarita, especially for a gastropub. I don't think my pictures will do it justice. The theme is Western/California, it is warm, cozy, rustic and clever with little extras like nails coming out of the rough-hewn picture frames and leather-like upholstery. Made reservations for my birthday on OpenTable for lunch on Sunday. They were very accommodating. I had to push my reservation back 15 minutes because of a traffic accident.
