I don't know about you, but since the pandemic, I find it harder to find restaurants that offer great food, service, and ambiance at a fitting price for the quality. I had brunch at the View and was delighted with the food and ambiance. My son and I both ordered steak and eggs with a salad. We requested medium rare for the steaks, and the steaks were perfectly cooked. The salad was very fresh. The portions were fair. It was a simple meal but well prepared. The service was friendly and diligent, but perhaps a tad too diligent in insisting on clearing our plates (from two different servers) before I was finished with the salad and bringing the check before we asked. We felt a bit rushed. Other than that, it was a great brunch with a gorgeous view and surroundings. Overall, it still deserves 5 stars. Definitely is going back.

Me and my family had a lovely meal at the View last Friday night! Our server Jaxson was excellent and very helpful. My son has an allergy and Jaxson was super accommodating to his needs! I would definitely recommend going here if you're visiting Santa Cruz; the view was breathtaking and we had an amazing night.

My friend and I went to The View for my friends birthday and had a great evening and even better food! Our server Jaxson was very friendly and was very attentive. We ordered the calamari and the salmon and it was amazing. The drinks we got were also so good. I got a Lane One martini 10/10! Can't wait to go back.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel, back in March, for our 10th anniversary and decided to try The View for dinner. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Our server, Jocopo, was attentive and quick. He saw to it that our cocktails were made perfectly which we were able to enjoy by the fire pit just outside the restaurant after our meal. Absolutely wonderful experience, and we plan to go back again!

The view here is great, the staff is very friendly and the food was great. The cheese board was 10/10 the best charcuterie I've ever had. The view salad was great too. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Order the steak and eggs. The steak was fine not really seasoned , the potatoes and eggs were fine. The view and ambience were the best thing here.

Came here on 03/02/24. There was a storm, and it was raining pretty hard, so we dined inside. The restaurant is beautiful. The View also includes a children's menu, which was a plus for my toddler. There's also a bar for when it gets incredibly busy. The Calamari is a well-balanced flavor of tart and sweet, fresh, and has a small kick from yellow pickled peppers. Drinks were good. I had the New York steak that came with layered rosemary potato gratin and maple glazed carrots. Personally, it was too sweet and made my beef sweet as well, which I didn't like (just tasted like caramelized steak). Ended the night with dessert Sticky Toffee, this was fantastic! It was served warm and paired beautifully with vanilla ice cream. I'm definitely going here again. I'm just going to try and eat a different entree, perhaps something that doesn't have lots of sugar.

My bf and I came here for lunch on my day off and the restaurant was expected considering it was at a resort. Interior, exterior, overall ambiance was relaxing. Did not feel like I was in Santa Cruz because of the overall luxurious feel. Ordered their chicken Caesar salad- chicken was great and had grilled Smokey flavor. The club sandwich was also good with the fries, drinks top notch.
Ambiance: 5/5 Beautiful view with outdoor seating during the day. Nice cozy ambiance inside for dinner with live music. Service: 5/5 Quick service and friendly waiters. Food: 3/5 Truffle fries: 2/5 not seasoned well and hardly any truffle flavor. Onion rings: 2/5 very oily Birria burger: 4/5 Birria huevos rancheros: 1/5 Eggs Benedict: 4/5 Shrimp fettuccine: 5/5

It was burger week this past week in Santa Cruz and decided on this delectable burger from the View at chaminade! It was very delicious, a burger consisting of an 8oz patty, some birria stewed meat, slices of pineapple and peppers, and topped with cotija cheese! All while being able to dip every bite into a delicious beef consommé! The restaurant itself was very nice, a gorgeous view of a clear Santa Cruz winter evening! Great service and live music while we dined! Highly recommend!

We were very disappointed. We had a guest from South Africa with us. I was actually embarrassed. We were left at front desk at least 15 min. We waited 25 min to be offered a drink Then another 15/20 min to give the order. Waited another 25 for the food to arrive. Order Wrong with two plates The lady that helped us let us know she was not normally a waitress. We had a reservation too. Sad after spending a fortune.
