Our experience at Bar Monette was fantastic. Upon walking into the restaurant the vibe felt welcoming yet exclusive. It felt like we stumbled upon a delicious little secret world in Santa Monica. What a phenomenal experience all around. The host, whose name is Hallelujah, sets the tone as soon as you walk in. He had a great energy and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Every single dish that came out was perfect. The pear endive salad was nice and light, not too sweet. I don’t even like caviar, but I still ate the potato angelloti that had caviar mixed in with the sauce. The bolognese tortellini was so good. LA MUST GO! Everything we ordered from the scallops to the jamon and the mushrooms were delicious. And the spicy calabrese pizza was SOO good. The presentation of the food was also a treat. The service was great, the ambiance was cozy and quaint, and the owner was as generous and kind as could be. We had an exceptional experience and will be returning soon.
