Found this place by its high reviews when looking for coffee between the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach and couldn't have been happier with our discovery. Great coffee and excellent pastries. The pastry was a surprising discovery as it was high on flavor without being overly sweet. The shop had a cute interior. Also love the name. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again. Highly recommend.
Super cute beach vibe coffee shop. It’s rare to see pistacho croissants!!! I literally only get lucky on the weekend at farmers market but they had some here!! ? super yummy!! Got a chia latte and it was ok wish it was a bit hotter and spicer. Still good tho.

Gnarwhal Coffee Co. is a quaint and cozy coffee shop with outdoor seating close to the beach! All staff here are friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. I had the chai tea and fresh baked salted caramel cookie (off the hook). On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 6! Definitely worth a stop by morning or afternoon.Parking: This location is on the edge of downtown Santa Monica near the beach so parking is at a premium, but it is worth battling parking meters!
