Beachy vibe, nice staff, really good somewhat healthy food. Nicely seasoned. Only con, the potatoes weren't fully cooked on one

Doesn't seem clean. Floor tile broken. Rest room clean, but walk way to rr again seems to need good cleaning. Food ok, not exceptional.Parking: Rear of building free parking.

Stopped in on our way back home and for a quick cup of coffee and some breakfast. Great place with fresh food and great service. Their coffee is great, the bagels are legit and my son's breakfast tacos were fresh and tasty. If you're looking for quality food and good service at a fair price this might be your place.

Great eggs Benedict and pancakes! Watch out you won’t find the Benedict on the big screen menu but it’s available!

We visited Marmalade on Montana Ave several times during our September holiday to Santa Monica. It is our very favourite place for breakfast and the service, food and atmosphere is always spot on. The menu is varied, the quality of the food I’d always consistently excellent and the prices are very competitive. The gluten free scones are a favourite with my partner and the cookies are awesome. Thank you to all the lovely, friendly staff for making us feel so welcome.

This is the second year we have visited marmalade! Both times we were served by Nikki (sp?) who not only remembered us the second year we went (even though it was nine months later), but was just as welcoming, kind and hospitable as ever. The staff service is only second to the food quality both of which are of the best quality one could want. The menu variety for breakfast and lunch is outstanding. They are pastries and desserts were so tasty that we actually bought extra to bring home to our kids a must visit place when you’re in Santa Monica.!

Got the steak sandwhich and apricot scone. 10/10 food and 11/10 service. Food is obviously very fresh and high quality...but the service...it's been 2 days and I can't remember if her name was Vicky or Nicky but holy cow is she amazing. If I lived in LA I would def come back to this place, but because of her, I would've come back every day! Whatever they are paying her, DOUBLE IT!Super personable, great energy, and knows the food well; you'd think that she was the owner!

Lovely

I went to Marmalade on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica when it first opened by Bobby, Beth and Bobby Burns and Selwyn Yosslowitz in the early 1990s. Now, sadly, the Burns family is gone from Marmalade, which I think is still owned by Selwyn. I like Selwyn, but it is very disappointing that Marmalade on Montana Ave. now closes at 3pm! What?! I used to go to Marmalade in the evening up to I think 9pm. What happened to Marmalade? I heard today from an employee of nearby Flair Cleaners that Marmalade on Montana is soon leaving that location where I have been going since Day 1. How terribly sad. The times they are a-changin'... for the worse.?

Had the spicy grilled fish tacos for breakfast. Wonderfully tasty and filling, would order again! Quiet and cozy during the weekday

Pancakes definitely in my all time Top 5. Very friendly staff, too. It was nice to sit outside on a Sunday morning.

The restaurant was completely disorganized. Things like a toasted bagel and coffee took 30 mins, I ordered a lox plate - got the lox almost immediately but had to ask several times for the bagel, as if they didn’t realize I was missing it. We ordered two single pancakes, they came out on one plate. I totally understand getting behind on orders during a busy time. But the fact that everything came out out of order and the onus was on us to keep chasing the staff for missing items was kind of ridiculous. The worst part was, this wasn’t just our experience, most customers seemed to be equally as frustrated. Hopefully this was a fluke and not the standard.

I usually eat cream cheese bagels here, but they have many food options! Wraps, cold and hot sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. The service here is good, and the restaurant is clean inside. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Many veggies option.
