Most restaurants seem to keep their doors/windows open at night these days so it's freezing inside and outside- in spite of the fact we were seated by a heater. The service was excellent but the food was disappointing. Keep in mind I am comparing the food to the sushi at Sushi-Ran (in the Bay Area) where the quality of the sushi is superlative. The atmosphere was pleasant (other than it was cold).

Came in here the other day and had a bad experience probably will never go back again. The host was very rude and they just made me feel like I should leave so I left and I probably won't ever be back. Everyone in there was very rude and made me upset With how they treated me.

I was a little hesitant at first because of the higher prices for smaller portions, but I have to say the sushi here was amazing. It tasted so fresh, clean, and delicious. The staff were friendly too. They also surprised me with a free dessert for my birthday!

This place is nothing but excellence, from the host who sat and offered recommendations, too the server who wasn’t hovering but wasn’t absent offered suggestions when I asked and was very attentive and knowledgeable. Even saw a serve help an elderly lady who walk up to place looking for help. He stopped and took time ti help even though she wasn’t looking to dine. All three and others really made this place a restaurant to remember. The food was also perfect, while it is pricy you are not just paying for the food quality but then high level of service that comes with it. So it was worth every penny.
My father and I came here one late night after deciding to go for a Beautiful drive on ocean Avenue (at the cusp of COVID). THIS TIME we brought the spouses and boy did we have the best time, food and drinks. Our server, Sho...(like in sho nuff) LOL was so nice and patient. When we weren't quite sure if what we ordered was enough, he'd always say, "take your time, you can always come back to the menu and order more" why did he say that? I think we re-ordered like three separate times!!!! But it was all about building memories, and having good conversation With some good food it was kind of like a Tapas style so we shared -a lo.t My mom had miso soup , lamb chop...we had the fried chicken, the chicken- fried rice, the shrimp roll and oh my gosh the drinks were amazing!!! The sake was delicious and then the manager, General Manager, Andrew came by and greeted us and was happy to see us like he hadn't seen us in a long time and that was actually our first time meeting. He did let us know that BOA is his SISTER RESTAURANT across the street BOA- the steakhouse is their sister restaurant so we will be trying that even though I don't eat steak I will try the seafood. But I think everyone should ROKU restaurant. Sit outside on the corner underneath the heaters and listen to the ocean and the traffic with bumping music and you'll definitely have a beautiful time as did we And enjoy the food as did we! We'll be back! Duhhhhh

Nice restaurant and good atmosphere. Food is mediocre as it is trying too hard to be fusion. Don't order the Brussels sprouts fries unless you like slurping cooking oil. Our service was horrible, we sat outside and the waiter came by in 30 min intervals to refill our water glasses and to promise that our rolls are "coming out now". Our rolls came out over an hour after we were served the rest of our order. The rolls were nothing special. We did get free desserts as compensation.
