We did private dining. Service was exceptional. They have a back room that seats 20 and delivered an engaging environment. But the place needs a face lift. I found the flow in/out of the restaurant seemingly "bar"ish if that's a word. The furnishings are not upscale but perhaps that suits the beach crowd if you show up for lunch in sandals. The evening vibe was not commensurate with the quality of food and service. The location is prime with any easy walk to the bluff overlooking PCH and the entire Santa Monica Bay from PV to Point Dune. I recommend Surf & Turf. Easy public parking nearby or valet.

I wish I had a photo of my cod dish it was out of this world. Very friendly staff very helpful. The only reason I'm giving this four stars, is that they need more bartenders for those super busy nights. Everyone at our table c was happy and satisfied. We also edulged in some oysters we got the ones from Mexico and they were flavorful, jucy and not to salty. We had a great time.

I visited Water Grill in Santa Monica on April 3, 2024, with my family, looking forward to a memorable farewell dinner before my mother's departure. Unfortunately, our anticipation quickly turned into disappointment due to the behavior of a clerk named holly and jordan。From the moment we tried to secure a reservation, holly and jordan treated us with palpable disdain, dismissively claiming the restaurant was fully booked despite visible availability. They attitude seemed rooted in our poor English skills and minority status, escalating to outright disrespectful behavior. When my child politely intervened to ask holly to allow me to finish my question, they mocked us instead of correcting they demeanor.Distressed, I reached out to the management, hoping for understanding and action. The manager's response was prompt, apologizing for our experience and inviting us back as his guests. While I appreciate this gesture, the reply lacked any mention of specific actions taken against the discriminatory behavior we encountered or measures to prevent future occurrences.
