I walked by the restaurant this morning and there was a big "For Lease" sign in the window. I used to live in the apartments behind this restaurant 25 years ago and tried the restaurant once. If you like all your Chinese entrees to be 50% celery, well this was the place for you. It wasn't for me and I never went back. I am surprised they were open as long as they were at this location.

As you read my review of spring lake, Chinese restaurant, you will be confused because of the other reviews that have been written. First I will point out the positive aspects of the restaurant. 1. The person working the counter was very nice although her telephone skills are limited. 2. The prices are reasonable and cheaper than other restaurants that serve the same kind of food but now I know why Now I will move on to the negative aspects The non- positive aspects of this restaurant are... The food is marginal at best. I ordered the Mongolian beef , potstickers, string beans, fried rice, eggrolls, hot and sour soup. The Mongolian beef was swimming in a gooey brown sauce that wasn't spicy and inundated with onions. I could barely find the beef. The potstickers were edible. And probably the best thing I ordered. The string beans were way under cooked. I like my vegetables, al dente, but these were almost raw. My wife is a connoisseur of fried rice and usually eats the whole container in one sitting just to give you an idea of how underwhelmed she was. She took three bites, and put the rest back in the container. I found the egg rolls very greasy like they had been thrown in a grease cooker, frozen solid. My wife ate those, and she seem to be OK with them. The coup de grace was the hot and sour soup. There was nothing in the soup except the broth and tofu. I had to add all of my own vegetables. There were no bamboo shoots. There were no mushrooms there were no carrots there were no peas to definitely no shrimp, which is what I usually find in every other hot and sour soup that I've ever had, I've included a picture of what I did to make my soup edible. Once I got it cooked. The flavor of their broth was satisfactory. I spent over $75 and after my wife and I ate a little bit of it. I threw it all out except for the hot and sour soup. I wasn't gonna let that go because they charge me over eight dollars a container and they only filled the containers have full. I do not enjoy writing reviews of this nature. I love to support local businesses and I do very much love good Chinese food but my recommendation is that you should go to Ting Hau on fourth Street or Kirin on Yulupa in Santa Rosa

Such great service. They went out of their way to make our late night delivery work. So recommend supporting this business! Food was good too.

This place is delicious, a little hidden gem I was introduced by my friend and now it is my go to spot. Great costumer service, very friendly. The food is always delicious and fresh. Love the lunch special as well, it’s a great deal with lots of yummy food included.

It was Christmas Day, and I have been going out for Chinese that day for a few years. The place I usually have been going to was only doing take out orders and we wanted to sit down. I've been here a few times, and the food has been very tasty and flavorful. The only decent thing served was the green onion pancakes. But I didn't taste any green onion. The batter was lightly fried, and the dipping sauce was ok. It only got worse from there. My friend got the seafood combination, and the server had to bring the shrimp separately, because, well, the cook had forgotten to put it in. Then she tried to find more seafood. 2 scallops, and about 4 pieces of squid. And those were buried under a MOUNTAIN of zucchini. 2-3 pieces of carrots. 2 pieces of mushy broccoli. When my friend complained to the server, she insisted the plate contained what it was supposed to contain. Not $16 worth. Then she brought out more seafood in some weird gooey sauce to add to the dish. It didn't really help. I ordered the pork lo mein. Oooo boy. It was HORRIBLE! The noodles barely cooked, the pork looked and tasted like it had come out of a pre cooked batch, and was seasonless. AWFUL! My daughter had asked me to bring home an order of won ton soup. Well. I had some the next day. The pork filling was seasonless also, and seemed to have a ton of gristle in it. The wontons were decent, I must say. The broth tasted like salted water. I'm tempted to just throw it away along with the leftover lo mein. I don't think either can be fixed. I'm not planning on going back any time soon.

I give 5 stars to this Chinese restaurant who have served me so well for and my family so many times. Remembering one night that we came Christmas Eve. There were 10. The service was gracious fast and extremely attentive. Hard to get dinner on Christmas Eve and it exceeded our expectations greatly. Their onion pancakes and veggie chow neon are my favorites.

The moo shu vegetable dish was really good - nice fresh veggies cooked perfectly and well sauced. Loved it. The beef and scallion was not appealing though. Weird rubbery texture to the meat so probably a very low level cut of beef.. and that sauce was nothing memorable. We actually threw it away it was that unappetizing So 50/50 I guess ‍

I really wanted this restaurant to be better then most of the recent reviews, but sadly no. At least for what I ordered. Egg rolls were the highlight and they were nothing special and the sweet sauce was lumpy?? The bbq pork fried rice was bland and the small amount of bbq pork did not have much flavor and the rice was close to being burnt. I like my bbq pork to taste like bbq pork but the small strips of pork were cooked to death and bland. I added A little oyster sauce to it and heated it up again, which made it taste better, at least now I would eat it. The small hot and sour soup was probably the most disappointing. I read in one of the reviews how it was bland with no sour flavor and that's exactly what I got. It also had only tofu and very small amount bamboo shoots and maybe a pinch of mushrooms if that. I actually went to the store and got shiitake mushrooms and added rice vinegar to it. Even with a little research on line, I still could not save the soup. Unfortunately as nice as the lady was, I will not be returning until the reviews start telling a different story. On top of all this, it wasn't cheap at $28 out the door which is not all there fault, but if i'm gonna spend the money it better taste good.

We ordered Mongolian Beef and S. and S. prawns. Not bad, but somewhat primitive; the chef is no great artist.. If you get to Fort Bragg, try Asian Buffet for comparison: much better I think.
