A disgrace to L&L Hawaiian BBQ. I don't know where to start. I usually go to the Mira Mesa location but decided to go to this one since it's on my way home. Such a big mistake! The kalua pork was horrible. Didn't even shred it and lumps of fat is what I got. No flavor, it was bland and salty. Also very oily. The BBQ mix plate also a huge disappointment. The meat was tough and overcooked. Seemed like they were trying to cover up for old meat ready to spoil. This franchise needs improvement. You're better off making the food on your own even if you have to spend the time doing so.

I always order the katsu chicken plate with rice and macaroni salad. The large plate is enough for my husband and I to share and still have leftover chicken!
I love this place so much which is why it breaks my heart so much to write this. I’ve ordered the Big Kahuna Burger on three different occasions, and on all three they forget to put the pineapple and bacon on the burger. It’s part of the description and I’ve always had to go back and tell them to put it add it. All they do is bring us a small to go box with canned tidbit pineapples, and a few slices of bacon. i’m really not writing this review out of anger purely out of love for this restaurant and wanting them to be better like I know they can.

The food was pretty good. They got my order wrong and gave me the chicken katsu instead of the garlic chicken and the bowl could have had a little more veggies, but it was still good. Cashier was very friendly. I'd go back.
Out of all the L&Ls in San Diego, this place is one of the good spots.Area is clean and staff are friendly. Food slaps hard.
