“A too rare case of what a true, nearly extinct classic neighborhood dive bar should be. Ages 21 to 70+ in equal numbers. Full crowd most evenings but I most always found a barstool. Tonight a live duo backing up piped in karaoke. Dogs allowed. The last old school bar left in the Monterey area unfortunately, that I am aware of.“
“Stopped by for dinner after some Xmas shopping. It wasnt busy at all. We were seated right away. The staff we interacted with are very friendly and seemed happy with their job. Made it ver pleasant to be there. Dining room was clean and inviting. Restrooms were also clean. I did not bring a sweater, It was chilly inside the restaraunt, I was really cold. It was 50’s outside and felt like 60’s inside. The food was pretty good. We ordered the 3 for me deal. Enchilada soup was really good. The crispy chicken sandwhich was crispy and the sauce it came with made it even better. It was plenty of food. I couldnt finish it. Took most of it home. Less than $30 for two is a great deal! Would definately come back for lunch and try their appetizers. Will Bring a sweater next time :)“
“This place is insanely delicious. From the greeting at the door to the owner checking on us at the end was amazing. My goodness such creative and on point pasta dishes. Perfectly executed. And that lava cake at the end left a mark on my heart. Wow.“
“Nice ambiance, good selection on tap. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The bar itself doesn't have food options, but there's a taco truck in the outside dining area that does, and you can bring the food into the bar itself. Can be a little loud/crowded on a weekend.“
“Review for the complimentary breakfast 8/10The service is excellent and attentive. The food was delicious and the frittata was excellent. Ambiance it was very aesthetically pleasing. Overall the hotel was nice and the food was awesome.More food stuff @vin.foodjournal“
“I came here with my family this last weekend and wanted to make sure I completed this review based off the fantastic experience I had at this location. Desiree was extremely nice and helpful. Desiree even accommodated us by taking me to look at the table that was available to ensure that worked for my family and let me know there was another option if it did not work for us. I have to say I have never had a restaurant employee treat me that good. I really felt welcomed and taken care of.When we sat down we were assisted by waitress Autumn who was wonderful herself. Autumn was very friendly, attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. Exactly how you would like your server to be. She took very good care of us our whole visit. Overall the food, service and atmosphere were awesome. I would definitely recommend coming here when you're in Monterey. I for sure will be coming back very soon.“
“Great atmosphere. The food and drinks are great and reasonably priced. Great service. Interesting military heritage and history in the Hotel del Monte. A must visit in Monterey on the Naval Postgraduate School campus (must have base access).“
“Always outstanding and a go to lunch spot when visiting. Great selection of oysters and the horseradish will clear the sinuses (the waitress warned us which was nice but we loved). Just finished the fish and chips with skinny fries. Super flavorful and fresh and the batter wasn’t too heavy.“
“A semi-formal atmosphere with high-level service and food which is only outmatched by breathtaking views. This is a golfer's paradise, but the views of Monterey Bay are breathtaking for golfers and non-golfers alike.Come to The Bench...you will not be disappointed!!“
“We had a great time at vesuvio. We weren't overly hungry and had the pizza. Who would have thought adding honey to Pizza would be so good? We met some new friends, too! Be sure to go upstairs to the roof top bar. You can eat up stairs as well.“
“I came here for a last minute dinner and was delightfully surprised by the prompt service. The food is delicious, and the king salmon is ah-mazing! It’s well suaved with a crispy cover. The steak is surprisingly tender too. One bummer is the bread - I wish the bread is softer. Overall, I enjoyed the meal a ton and came back for lunch the next day (again). The salmon didn’t disappoint!“
“I love the new location in the Barnyard. The Caesar salad is to die for. They also have trivia night and beers for sale to go. I love the owner Khai. He used to work at Bottoms Up before owning Post No Bills and so he is very knowledgeable about craft beer and also how beers are brewed. He also does a lot of beer research on new and upcoming beers and brewing companies that he can bring into his establishment. I also heard soon there will be a kareoke host to have kareoke at new location!“
“What a hidden gem I found in Carmel Valley! Pet-friendly terrace, wonderful service, inexpensive price with super big quantity, and yum! very delicious pizza! To clarify the confusion, you can order menus of Stirup Cup Pizza here at Running Iron. My husband and I wanted some pizza after the hike at Garland park. We needed an outdoor seating to be seated with our dog. You can order pizza and eat at Running Iron! We sat with our dog at the terrace at Running Iron and ordered pizza from Stirup Cup Pizza.I ordered stuffed deep dish pizza with the menu #4 and a basket of curly fries. The portions are crazy here! The basket of curly fries was HUGE and delicious! We could not finish the medium-sized pizza. Wow, the stuffed deep dish was very creative. You should definitely try.And Connie, our waitress, was so nice and friendly. I mean, honestly, all of the staffs that served our table were so nice and kind. They seemed to enjoy their job. I genuinely appreciate their service.Of course, I am going to visit here AGAIN!“
“We enjoyed the new interior atmosphere of The Covey. It's softer, warmer and more inviting. Our party of four enjoyed beet and Caesar salads, pastas and the classic hamburger. Our waiter was terrific- he treated us with the professional familiarity appreciated in a club (we are Quail members).“
“There is finally a spot where the music, the people and the venue all match up to make a magical night. I haven’t found so many house heads in one spot in a hot minute but the two times I’ve been there and going back tonight have been utmost positive experiences. At the door you will be told no photography and at first I was why not? Not that I take pics of everything but just never heard it from a doorman. So people can be themselves and DANCE!!! That is surely what I did!!! I will believe I’ve found my go to spot for safe space to dance where I don’t have to worry about getting shot, stabbed or judged.“
“Been doing business with these guys for years. Ignacio is an amazing businessman and and runs his shops with quality customer service in mind. Great prices and always responsive to our requests. Can't thank you enough for the years of good service we have found at Lopez's“
“Wow there are few places better in Carmel Valley on a sunny day on the patio. Really nice selection of wine and tapas to snack on. Scratch and Joyce winery are close at hand to try their wares. Friendly staff and centrally located in the Village make this a great place to visit.“
“Great experience at Schooners on the patio overlooking the water. Our waiter, Jacob, was very attentive and made great recommendations. Clam chowder in a bread bowl was excellent, Thai style curry mussels were delicious and the ceviche was good but not great. The fish tacos were tasty and the fried chicken sandwich was flavorful and unique. Would definitely dine there again.“
“After learning Le Bicylette had a 1.5 hour wait on a Sunday, we peeked down the little alley way and allowed ourselves to be enticed to select an outdoor table for a delicious pizza lunch. Started with the Cesar salad (extra anchovies!) followed by the Pepe Board. The four of us then split two pizzas, the San Vito and the Diavola. Took home the last 3 slices for lunch the next day. Charming patio! Definitely worth a return.“
“Nice experience for a late lunch on a cold and windy day. Food was probably unhealthy (calamari, cod sandwich, clam chowder) but really good. Coffee was freshly made and surprisingly strong for American standards. The waiter was friendly, helpful with tips for our planned route to San Luis Obispo, and reasonably quick without rushing us.“
“This is the very best sushi restaurant in the area! The food is amazing, the server was so attentive and the ambiance was clean and calming. I came on here to rave about the food but truly had a wonderful experience and plan on coming back soon!“
“The place is always bustling with activity, but the bartenders and servers always stay on track with great customer service, drink recommendations, and good attitudes! Recently, one of their bartenders Sharen won a local cocktail challenge too! They are always coming up with new and innovative cocktails!“
“We have heard about this place but never tried it. It's tucked away around the side of Carmel Mission Inn but there is lots of parking and its entry is very accessible once you find it! We arrived early on a Friday so it was pretty quiet at first but got busy as happy hour wore on. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable and gave us excellent dinner suggestions. We came in for the burger so ultimately that's what we had. Definitely the best burger patty I've had in awhile! We'll be back and can update the photos.“
“This is my first time visiting Seaside and I stopped by this place due to the positive reviews. Ordered to go enchiladas plate, birria tacos including consume which they had a special Thursday deal for, and the super burrito. I was totally amazed by how fresh the food was even though it was for take out. The birria tacos were crispy on the outside but the birria meat was moist on the inside packed with meat. The enchiladas were packed with chicken which shows they are not stingy with their meat. Also, the food came out fairly quick rather than having us wait a while. There are a lot of seats and tables provided. Will definitely stop by again when I come back to seaside. This place is a must if you're craving mexican food.“
