“Best Thai food I've had stateside since returning from Thailand, bar none.”
“It’s Sooo Good.., I don’t want to Share This! Please Keep this Secret 🤫”
“Nice to see another Punchdown location, especially up in the Barlow. Eclectic selections with focus on more natty and esoteric grower producers. Some nice tasting options.
Didn't try any of the small snacks, more limited menu.”

“Absolutely delish! You can really taste that everything is fresh and homemade. I got the gf waffle (with such a nice syrup and fresh jam), eggs, and fries. I love how they cook their items in tallow! Definitely will come back here when I’m in the area again.
The staff was also very lovely 😄”

“Gigi was exceptionally good - if she didn’t know the history as well as she could have or deep knowledge of wine making she more than made up for it by being charming and friendly
, things you can’t teach. The wines are always outstanding - Hallberg Ranch one yard is my favorite wherever it is poured but best in your hands (and Gary Farrell’s). I’m local and always send friends to emeritus. That won’t stop”
“Our tasting experience with Kyle was exceptional! Not only were the wines on point, you could really sense Kyle’s passion for DRNK and the industry in general. I was immediately won over when we were offered two different bubbles to start and our crew really appreciated how informative yet informal the experience was. It truly felt like friends chatting about food, wine, and culture while sipping some of the best juice around. So glad we found this place!
Ohhhh and the caves were so cool!!”
“Such a great way to taste wines from all over our area. 2-ounce tastes are great. I enjoyed a couple of whites, then a flight of reds from DRNK for $25. Best tasting variety.”
“We went to the Pinot and Paella party on Sept 20 and had a wonderful time!! The paella was fabulous as well as the accompanying salad and fresh bread/cilantro spread. The wine was also fabulous - as well as the service!!”

“Dined at Viva last night with friends from Petaluma. We absolutely loved our experience. It was chef and owner Sima’s Persian Night, something new she is doing on Monday and Tuesday nights. Sima is Persian, and although she has served amazing Mexican food since assuming ownership of the restaurant, she has always added a twist that reveals her Persian influence. The new menu offers a great selection of traditional Persian cuisine, sweet, savory, tart and includes wine, beer, and specialty drink pairings. My party enjoyed a crisp Sauvignon blanc, but next time I will try the Santa Rosa plum fruit roll up margarita as it looked beautiful and the woman at the table next to ours said it was delicious. We ordered an herb and cheese app, sima brought olives in a walnut sauce, the cucumber yogurt dish, lamb and quince stew, lentil and rice, and chicken pomegranate stew. All was delicious! We rarely order dessert, but were curious about the menu so had the pistachio ice cream, havla, and bread pudding. Sima brought an herbal tea that was a perfect compliment. Each dessert was incredible-the ha la my favorite but my friends voted the bread pudding. Amazing! The portions are just right which allowed us to try many different things, including desserts, but leave feeling satisfied, not “stuffed.”
Sima made everyone in the restaurant feel as though they were in her home. Persian music was playing in the background, and although she was busy serving, supporting staff, helping with takeout orders, she spent time visiting at tables, sharing food and her extensive knowledge about the traditions behind the meals on the menu.
I noticed some customers arrived expecting her normal Mexican fare and she honored it.
This is not a “get in and get out” experience- come for a unique, sobre mesa experience. Highly recommend.”
“The place is worthy the stop ! Excellent fresh food , amazing focaccia like in Italy toasted , clam chowder was wonderful, fresh and tasty during , incredible coffee. You can even buy pottery and some nice t-shirt ! Very welcome staff! Stop there and you will not regret it. From an Italian couple that know about food !”
“i drove all the way from the Los Angeles area just to come here. im a big fan of music and a big fan of wine, i couldnt ask for much more. i chose to sit outside but they have a small indoor area for tasting as well. They weren't incredibly busy when i came, it was just me and a couple so the service was immaculate. you MUST get a dog to get the full experience 😆. if youre a fan of Primus, they have their old tour bus on show and you can purchase some merchandise as well. my favorite was the Sonoma Coast Rosé, i took a bottle home for myself.”
“Tiny restaurant making big waves!
Never have I ever tried food or wine from Georgia, but I’ve been converted to a regular. The food is super simple, but make no mistake the dishes coming out of this kitchen are packed with flavor and done up. I tried dumplings, sautéed mushrooms, and a wrap. Every dish was like exploring a different part of Georgia and with each bite I got to see this cuisine is about transforming simple ingredients. I’d happily re-order everything I tried!
Georgian wine is unique unto itself. From what I understand the wine is made using a very old method of burying clay pots. There isn’t much processing or filtering, so the end product is very viscous. I enjoyed it, especially as a first time experience, but I don’t think it’s for me.
The restaurant itself has a warm, quant feel. The staff were extremely inviting and happy to explain the menu as well as the wine.
If you’re curious about trying Georgian food or just happen to want a great meal in Sebastopol then try Piala!”

“The Redwood serves delicious, reasonably priced food prepared and presented as if introducing you to a good friend. Great wine and non-alcoholic options too. The owners' enthusiasm for creating and sharing nourishing and beautiful food infuses the atmosphere with good vibes. I spent a lovely time with a friend chatting over appetizers and a glass of wine as if I were back in Madrid.”
“We love Goldfinch and have had many great experiences there. This time was not the same. The service was slow and lacking and our server was not the usual Goldfinch type. She was less friendly, definitely not helpful with wine selection, and just generally inattentive. We won't let this experience keep us away though. We'll be back!”
“Just returned from California and a highlight of our trip was Koblers vineyard. Mike Jr was so passionate & informative when educating us on Koblers wine. His warm & welcoming demeanour really made our visit fun. We enjoyed the cheese & wine pairing. Such a wonderful host and the homely setting is lovely.
P.s. our wine survived the return journey to Scotland!”
“One of my favorite wineries. Such a hidden gem. The owner was super nice and very fun to chat with. The experience was very relaxing and intimate. Went here with my brother a few years ago and looking to go back next time I'm in the area. I thought I was only a white wine girly but was blown away by the cab!”
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth and kindness — the staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food was absolutely outstanding. I ordered the lasagna, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly layered, rich in flavor, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender. You can really tell that the pasta is handmade fresh in-house — it had such an incredible texture and delicate taste that you just can’t find everywhere. Every bite was perfection. I will definitely be coming back and trying even more dishes. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality Italian food. If you’re a pasta lover like me, you must try their house-made pastas — they are truly something special. Overall, an amazing experience all around — from the food to the atmosphere to the genuinely sweet and attentive staff. 10/10!”
“I’m so glad I finally got the chance to eat here. It was INCREDIBLE!!! Sautéed steak with fettuccine tossed in a ají Amarillo sauce, holy sh*^ it was sooooooo good!!!! Can’t wait to go again ❤️”
“One of my favorite all time places!! The food is spectacular - fresh and always so tasty and flavorful!! Fresh seafood, juicy burgers, and the best French fries in the ENTIRE world!! (And all 3 dipping sauces are the bomb! )”
“The pork rib & 1/2 chicken plate with 2 sides- the baked beans & coleslaw slaw were all fresh tasting & moist! The owner Chris was very insightful & was lovely sharing his time on their process, along with the operations manager Finn! The best BBQ ever... I can't wait to come back tomorrow!”

“Having traveled to India and Nepal, I can confidently say this is great Nepal/Indian food! It has the traditional foods you will recognize like tikka masala and biryani and all of it is good! We have taken many people out to this restaurant and everyone enjoys it. Highly recommend!”
“Got a breakfast burrito/wrap and smoothie, both were really good! The smoothie was absolutely amazing. The staff was really nice and they had a cute little section of merchandise from Mexico that was tasteful and didn’t clutter the store. Cleanest business I have been in, in a long time! They had cute decide for the holiday which was a nice touch.”
“This place is the best! Delicious ciders on tap, plenty in cans, clothes & fresh apples. If you want to enjoy a crisp cider underneath an apple tree: this is the place. The chairs are wooden chairs which are insanely comfortable. My bf and I were locked into these chairs. Live music within earshot. The bartenders are also very knowledgeable about the drinks & asked me if I’ve been here before. They went above and beyond to inform me about the drinks and make me feel comfortable. Come here!”

“My husband and I come here whenever we can for breakfast or lunch. We usually get the Cals Mombo Combo and split it because the portions are enormous! It’s absolutely delicious and a household favorite. Starbucks is across the street so I think people tend flock there more. I really hope more people come to check them out— it’s a gem that deserves more recognition! Support local!”
“Coming back from Valley Ford, where we released a breeding pair of badgers out there in the rolling hills and grasslands to help control the prairie dog population that old Lady Peta started when she released the vermin back in 2016. ...And boy, I'll tell you we're beat! It's tough walking those rolling hills carrying a steal cage that has a 25-pound angry badger in it, and all it can think about is biting you!
Well, we took the long way back through Sebastopol just so we could stop at the Taqueria El Favorito for one of their bigger than life burritos, and they were Amazing!
5 stars all day long! ☆☆☆☆☆”
“If you're looking for a charming, feel-good spot to satisfy your sweet tooth, this family-owned ice cream shop is a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of personal service you just can't get at big chains.
The ice cream itself is top-notch—creamy, rich, and clearly made with care. They offer a great variety of classic and creative flavors, many of which rotate regularly, so there's always something new to try. Standouts for me were the homemade waffle cones and their seasonal specials.
What really makes this place special is the love and attention behind everything they do. You can tell the family takes pride in their work, from the quality ingredients to the friendly conversations at the counter. It's the kind of place where kids light up, and adults find a little nostalgic joy.
Highly recommended for a treat that feels both indulgent and heartfelt.”
“If you want delicious pizza, friendly customer service & a chill environment: come here! I was greeted immediately and asked if I had any questions. I ordered what I wanted & said it was my first time and I was given a free huge cookie! It was home made chocolate chip with salt. So, so good. The rice crispy treats are good and if you’re a ranch person, their ranch is the best! I’m normally not a pizza fan but this place had me come back and order more for lunch tomorrow!”

Cheap Eats
“The jasmine milk tea with boba was very pleasant and refreshing. I was excited to try their mochi donuts as I’ve been looking all over for somewhere to buy one. I bought the matcha donut and it was delicious! I can’t wait to go try their other flavors. Their shop was small and cozy with an array of cute gifts and candy. I definitely recommend checking them out!”
“Yes, I recommend Screamin’ Mimi’s, but after today’s visit I may need a new neck. SM’s has always had at least 2 easy-to-read menus viewable, at least one inside and one outside. Not now. Now the ice cream flavors are on just one electronic screen right by the cash register and it’s really high. As in Really HIGH. Lots of small print. I was wondering what kind of neck damage I was incurring while trying to read the menu. The group behind me had some little kids and the adults were having a hard time trying to read and translate (what’s lavender?) the list to them. Or, if you prefer a QR code, it’s also right next to the cash register. Don’t forget your phone! In other words, everyone who hasn’t seen today’s menu before they arrive will be stuck trying to figure out their order while standing next to the cash register, peering at a complex menu, creating a traffic jam and longer line. Please, Mimi’s, don’t have the list so high and don’t put it just before the cash register.”
“The lady that runs this place is great :) She always makes you feel at home. It’s really dark inside and i like it that way. Mixed crowd that all get along just fine. The drinks are really reasonably priced. The BEST jukebox around. It has everything new and old. There is an old Star Wars pinball machine, a couple of pool tables, a shuffleboard? game, a small train that makes its rounds above your head for only 25 cents, and surprisingly nice restrooms. I love it here. It is my favorite local watering hole. When i drink a little too much, get a little loud and rowdy, or start making out with my girlfriends, they don’t even mind. Definitely my kind of place.”
“Coffee is always bomb, food is always yummy, and I always feel for the baristas/cooks bc they always seem to be understaffed (which is absolutely a management problem & not a service worker issue lol). I come here more often than I should (at least 3-4 days a week) and I’ll never stop. I don’t mind the wait time for nibbles & caffeine bc the baristas always nail it & are always super kind. A couple of them even know me & my regular order lol”
“Top quality food and service! My boyfriend and I have been eating here for 4 years and they know us by our order. 😆 Best sushi in Sonoma County!”

“Super cool brew pub snug in the corner of the Barlow. Great beer selection. Pool table, giant connect 4, big block Jenga, and an area to play Cornhole (adolescent giggle?). I believe they are partnered with some of the eateries that surround it if you wish to grub down while enjoying the tasty brews. I will totally be coming back here. ??”
“came here after a long hike. the atmosphere is so welcoming for dogs and kids. would come here agian”

“Hey everyone; this fabulous iconic restaurant is scheduled to close December 18th, 2022 due to the covid economy which is just lifting. Let's give our support and help keep their doors open by ordering some of their great meals. As reviews state, this is a special place. Over the years, my meals there have shown a creative flair in the manner they combined breakfast/lunch items. The food has always been fresh, tasty, substantial, and reasonably priced. It would be a real loss for Sebastopol if they close their doors. Show them you care, give your support, let your neighbors know of this pending departure of this iconic restaurant. Thank you.”

“A hidden gem in Sebastopol! A beautiful place to meet with friends. I love the simplicity of the play space, as it leaves so much room for creative play. The barista makes killer drinks and the food is always so delicious! It’s off the beaten path, but well worth the visit.”
