This is a true gem in the Barlow. Oyster has a wonderful atmosphere - great for a family dinner or a get together with friends. The food is fantastic - strongly recommend the duck fat fries, the burger, the wedge salad, the calamari and the octopus. Raw oysters did not disappoint either. We will definitely be back!

Friend and I had the oysters here on March 9th - they were meh but we ate them - we both came down with food poisoining the next day. Aside from that the waitress seemed annoyed we were there and like she would never touch the food herself. She steered us somewhere else for dessert. Wish she would have done the same for the oysters.

Cozy little seafood restaurant in The Barlow. Comfortable space. Casual, friendly service. Only two types of oysters available when we visited but they were both delicious. Oddly, the spoon provided for the mignonette sauce was extremely large, like a large serving spoon, which was cute (?) but not helpful when trying to ladle the sauce out of its small shallow dish. We also ordered carpaccio and octopus. Everything was delicious. Wine list focused on oyster friendly wines, which I appreciated, including a strong selection of Champagne.

As a local, I would say the Barlow is 50% tourist traps; 50% positive additions to our dining scene. Oyster, is one of our go to, date night places. What's good here? Carefully curated delicious bottles of Champagne (you probably never heard of) for less than $100. If you have a grown up palette, you will enjoy the raw bar items, grilled octopus & deep fried offerings etc., I don't know if people are expecting chain like bovine sized portions, but my wife & I enjoy a bottle of champagne & get our fill of seafood & vegetables for not more than $200 while people watching on the patio, the service is attentive & knowledgeable... not sure what more you need for a perfect evening.

Always looking to try new restaurants and were really in the mood for a Po Boy sandwich. When we saw the stock photo on this account, we knew this was the place. Much to our disappointment, our sandwich was nothing like the photo. It had two very small pieces of oyster on the inside and was gone after two bites. Definitely not enough for one person. Ended up having to order another sandwich, and chose the fish. Same size sandwich, tiny. Won't be returning sadly.

Beware!!! Portion size very small. Wife and I saw pics of Oyster Po Boy. Went for dinner and ordered that plus the fish sandwich. Oysters were tiny and maybe 4-5 little ones on sandwich, not at all like "stock" photo trickery. On the fish sandwich the fillet only covered a small portion of the bun. Portions very sad, but place was nice, gal who greeted and served us was very nice as well. Maybe they can fix this or maybe other items are good/better/larger portioned?

Excellent service. Very unique menu with lots of great choices. French-centric wine list (which we loved). Fresh, fresh, fresh oysters, spicy calamari and the duck fat fries (exceptional). Lovely outdoor patio overlooking "The Barlow." Looking forward to coming back soon!Parking: It was a busy day, but we found parking in just a few minutes.

Made dinner reservations for this place with high hopes of finding a great place to have seafood. I ordered pan seared scallops and my wife ordered the fish and chips and also an order of oysters as an appetizer. The oysters were extremely small and received only two. I understand oysters are pricey but for seven bucks they left me feeling disappointed. My dinner was decent but not at all worth the price I paid. My wife was disappointed in the fish and the cole slaw was overly saturated with the sauce they use making it soggy and overpowering. The fries were good though. As far as the ambience we took a seat in an area that felt separate from the rest of the restaurant and our waiter lacked any personality and seemed bothered having to wait on us. I have no plans on ever going back to this place.

Fresh and delicious, great and fast personal service, and lovely outdoor area to people watch as you sit and enjoy a reasonable priced Cremant or other beverage. What is not to like? Out goto place.Suggestions: Little gem is bright and airy, while fried calamari is sublime and devine. Top with a crab wedege. Perfect for two people. Enjoy!!

The food was okay but the server had no personality at all. It was like he hated his job.
