Medium size Sushi bar w dining tables. Casual atmosphere, short wait during busy times, and worth it. Fish is always fresh, teriyaki chicken is always delicious, and the 'tempura green tea ice cream ball' is always a pleasure point of the evening! I'm looking forward to next time...

Racist employee. Will never go back. First time at this restaurant. Placed a to go order in person and paid in advance. Came back in 20 mins to pick up food. Employee questioned me about payment. I told her I came in person, placed order and had already paid. She found package which was clearly marked as "Paid" on the paper bag but the lady continued to question me multiple times about whether I had paid.Lady is Asian and likely Japanese. I have dark complexion. Lady finally said I could take food which I took initially. But as I walked back to car, I couldn't get past the subtle if not overt racism exhibited. Went back and returned the food. Told them to keep their food. Didn't ask for a refund and I couldn't care less about the money.I have lived in Simi Valley for years and have found the people to be open, genuine, kind and friendly. But this individual was a piece of work. This is one of those times I am thankful I went to law school and have been practicing for almost 30 years and have the ability to make a difference.

Hakari sushi restaurant my top #1 restaurants. I had been in other sushi restaurants hoping find the same quality or better, but they all failed. Love my Simi Valley Hakari Sushi Barr!

My BF and I still come there every now and then from Granada Hills. Great food, good service. They've changed management a few times, but the staff and quality have remained.

Ordered two binto boxes and sushi. Got sushi quickly but waited an hour for binto boxes. I had to go to manager and threaten to walk out before I got them. The food in boxes was overcooked. Sushi spicy roll was made long before not fresh. Confusing menu prices.

A solid sushi option here in Simi. I’ve come here a number of times either with friends, by myself, or ordered to-go. The inside of this place is honestly gorgeous. The only thing that is less than impressive is their “50% off” prices. It’s not really half off, the real price is the “discount”. I get why they do it, but I’m not a fan. Other than that, pretty good food and service. I love getting their baked crawfish (or scallop) roll and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Back in the day when they had AYCE sushi, I loved getting their yellow tail nigiri, basically melts in your mouth. I haven’t gotten it since they took AYCE off the menu, but I’m sure the fish is still great.

This was the FIRST place I ever had sushi as a teen.. Now, around 15 years later, it's still one of the best around! I forgot just how good Hikari is, and I'm sad I've been away so long! There's a reason there's always a line out front at dinner time. Totally worth the wait!Parking: It's right next to a Stater Brothers, so there's a BIG lot very close.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a handrail and general accessibility.
