“The pastries on display are exquisite. I tried the dolce de leche which was a pyramid of chocolate cake bottom with layers of cream, and caramel cream. This was decadent and I loved that it, and several other desserts were gluten free. The crepes and Croque Madame that other dinners were having also looked great.“

“I can only speak to the lounge experience, but the service was great. I would definitely recommend the Spanish octopus. It was delicious. I can't remember all of the drinks I had, but the Bourbon/Whiskey one (called the gold something) and the Gin drink on the specialty cocktail menu was amazing. The Mezcal passion fruit drink was alright. And the surf and turf menu item I had was great, except for thr pork belly was pretty dry and tough. All in all, I would say this is a great experienceParking: There was valet parking out front, but I went around the time they opened and managed to find parking further down the street from the restuarant“

“I'll just start by saying this is a fantastic restaurant and just about everything is excellent. If you're looking for a fine dining experience that's a bit rustic and classy, this is your place. My friends and I were in a bit of a hurry so we called in a reservation for 5:30pm when they open. When we got there, something went wrong with the reservation even though we had gotten a confirmation. They quickly took care of it and seated us anyway. We made sure to inform them that we needed to be out in an hour and they did a fantastic job of moving the pace for us. They didn't get flustered or overwhelmed with the request and handled it quite deftly. The service was excellent all night.I really appreciate the environment. It was quiet and the music was just loud enough to hear if you're listening for it. The lighting was warm and the decoration was minimal and appropriate. I don't like how many restaurants have high ceilings, concrete floors, and painted walls that all contribute to a very noisy space, and there was none of that here. A very intimate setting with fantastic food.We ordered the deviled eggs to start. I was skeptical about classy deviled eggs, but these were about as scaled up as you can get with deviled eggs. The filling was slightly tangy to cut through the natural savoriness of the yolk and it was probably one of the best deviled eggs I've had. It's a dish I'm conflicted about because it was so good and at the same time, I don't feel justified in paying the price of four dozen premium eggs for the experience of half of one egg. There were only three pieces so we each got one. I can't recommend for or against it so you'll have to decide for yourself. We got the Prime Angus steak frites, dover sole, and the traditional wienerschnitzel. I'm not a huge fan of dover sole, so I only took a small bite, but this was delicate and lovely. If you enjoy fish, this is a flavorful white fish that's buttery with a hint of sharp brine to it. It's not my favorite, but I'd only be slightly opposed if someone were to consider it the gold standard of fish. They prepared it well here. The wienerschnitzel was, in my opinion, a bit bland. I only tried a small piece, but I was not terribly impressed. The scalloped potatoes looked good, but I didn't try them. It was like a country fried steak with no gravy. I was honestly disappointed. Fortunately for me, I got the steak frites. Rare. I was taken aback when the server clarified with me that rare is a little more pink in the center and if that's what I wanted. On the one hand, I'm glad he asked just for clarification, and on the other, I felt as though my request was being questioned like I didn't know what that was and I wasn't clear about my intentions when I said rare. Regardless, the steak came out perfectly rare. The steak was incredibly well cooked and the peppercorn sauce was absolutely perfect. It was strongly savory with an almost pungent flavor that paired perfectly with the steak. This rarely happens, but it was such an amazing experience that I caught myself closing my eyes just to savor the moment in each bite. I don't think I can express, in words, how much I enjoyed the steak. I don't know if I'd be willing to try something else at the risk of having a lesser experience. The homemade fries were delightful. I don't usually like fries and I don't usually like ketchup, but I ate all of the fries. The aioli was pretty good too, but I felt drawn to the ketchup and that statement just feels wrong, but here we are.For dessert we got the strawberry rhubarb pie, the banana creme brulee, and the gelato. I didn't enjoy the pie as much as I thought I would. I love strawberry rhubarb pie and this just didn't hit the spot. The rhubarb was tart and the strawberry sweet, but somehow they didn't come together as well as I expected. The crust was tough and almost stale and I think that's really what disappointed me the most. The ice cream “

“Wow, did not expect to come to the aquarium and enjoy such a yummy meal. The beyond burger and their fries were shockingly delicious. Bun was soft with a little char, patty was cooked beautifully, veggies were fresh. And their fries!!! Crispy, great seasoning, generous portion. Definitely worth trying!“

“It is the first vendor you see when you go up the escalator/stairs to go into SkyDeck. The display is gorgeous: colorful macaronis, beautiful cake tarts, delicious pastries and puffy croissants. There is a big menu sign that shows coffee options, crepe, and sandwiches.I think they have the best croissants in San Diego. Their butter croissant is flaky outside and soft inside. Their chocolate and almond croissants are magnificent when warmed up. I also tried some of their fruit tarts before. They are beautifully baked and yummy. I like to gift these for last minute birthdays. You can definitely order their cake ahead of time as well. Their coffee is mediocre unfortunately. It tasted like syrup and bitter espresso. Service is fast and friendly. I have no complaint :)“

“The oysters were fresh and juicy. I had Grilled mixed which included three different meat selections, good for those who's very indecisive like myself.I also tried a bite of both seabass and cod. Really like the taste and texture of the cod (don't remember the name of the dish), but the seabass was a bit dry for me.We still ordered some dessert when everyone was so full, the "peach" one was not too sweet and not too heavy after the main course.Overall, the food/service was good but pricey.“
