“My family and I went here for dinner and it was delicious! From the bread, crab cakes, and main entrees, we were all impressed with how everything tasted. The servers were amazing with making this a dining experience we won’t forget as we were on vacation. The next time we come back to this area, we want to come for brunch!“
“We always leave Tartine’s amazed at how they prepare, pair and serve the food so perfectly! This week we had two dinners there - both, from beginning to end, superb. The spotted bass was prepared perfectly- with just the right amount of seasonings to compliment- not overpower. The pairing of seasonal vegetables was perfect - and the preparation was perfect -with hints of lemon and dill but not heavy at all!The chicken dish over risotto was delicious with the risotto not too thick or cream heavy.Green salads and beef barley soup along with the DELICIOUS bread made the meal complete. We too home a fabulous Tiramisu cheesecake. Both servers - Erin and our server last night - were wonderful. The owners always are present and are part of what makes Tartines run so smoothly!! Thank you!!! You serve amazing, healthy, delicious meals with grace!! ❤️ ❤️??“
“We LOVE this darling restaurant and have been going for years. There seems to have been ownership turnover in the last few years, maybe twice? Still, count on a beautiful meal and take notes on what you love and you will be happy. The tiny, intimate environment in a charming historic home and "white glove" service is a time capsule so embrace its rarity, and the staff is so sincere and hopeful to make every visit a lovely dining experience. Sometimes it's the BEST and sometimes a little less, but we will always be true to Chez Loma! The pretty vintage bar and exceptional martinis are icing on the cake!“
“Best place to go for dinner in San Diego. Authentic French cuisine, excellent winery and bar and a great service. We've been here several times now whenever we have visited San Diego and have never been disappointed. Thank you Ludo and team!“
“First visit to Wormwood and it was an excellent culinary experience. It was a bit loud in the dining room and it is not a cheap dinner date but the service was phenomenal and the food and drinks were, for the most part, delectable. Tonight we ordered a farmers loaf of bread to share which came out steaming hot and accompanied by a delicious butter. We also ordered the French Onion dish that made my eyes roll to the back of my head. Let’s suffice to say I could have just ordered a couple of those French Onion apps and been perfectly content without needing a main dish. Nonetheless, our party ordered the Sea Bass, Chicken and the mushroom pasta dishes as mains. Everyone was happy with their meal and the plating was beautiful as you can see in the pictures. Overall it was a great meal - maybe not a regular date night sort of place but worth it for an occasional splurge.“
“Came here for happy hour and sat at the bar.(+) Cocktails were delicious - Kingfisher Spritz, Golden Hour, and Favored Winds.(+) Happy hour salt and pepper fish was very good.(+) House made egg noodles - super good(+) Wagyu smoked beef rib - really good.( ) Service was nice but we got asked how we were doing by like three different people repeatedly and it got a bit tiring.(+) Vibe is cool. Nice bar, ambience is really nice.“
“Best whiskey sour I have ever had, hands down, even better than these specialty cocktail bars. And I didnt even get to the food yet. The crispy duck thighs were out of this world with a delicious, but not overpowering, mustard sauce. And the chocolate cake?! Omg....still thinking about that. Service was excellent, and the interior is just delightful. It is almost like you are in France in someone's home. Fantastic restaurant.“
“Amazing little restaurant tucked away in the Horton Plaza. There isn’t anything negative to say! Everything from the atmosphere, food menu and most importantly, the service was amazing!! Highly recommended as a must visit if you are vacationing or simply passing through the area to a must if you live or frequent the area. Menu had simple selections and everything from the appetizers to entrees were perfectly timed. My only wish is to be able to bring it to the East coast! We will be back ❤️.“
“I had a croissant, some French Toast, and a latte here. I really liked the French Toast! It was covered with pine nuts, and was drenched in syrup (which I was kinda surprised by, since I thought the pine not coating was going to prevent the today from soaking up the syrup). The nuts added some nice texture, and the syrup was a good amount of sweet. It was kinda hard to cut into, so I just kind of had to bite into the toast slices (maybe that's intended, though). The croissant and the latte were decent; nothing too eye opening for them but they I liked them a decent amount (I think the croissant is maybe good, with something else that is more savory than what I got). Overall, I liked what I got, and am happy to go again!“
“The wonderful couple that runs this humble French inspired food spot are very responsible and friendly. They produce some of the highest quality food choices around San Diego. Their food is fresh and healthy yet filled with flavor in every bite. I can’t say enough about how amazing the food is here. At such a reasonable price as well. The service is fast and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone wether you are hungry or not.“
“I've now been here three times and have loved it each time! I can't believe I'd never been here before my friends brought me here about a year ago. This place is delicious! It is such a cute little space that has indoor and outdoor seating. It is charming, and the ladies who run the place are fabulous! The food is just as great as the service and ambiance.I have a very restricted diet and found multiple things on the menu.I recommend Creme de la Crepe!“
“The service was kind and thoughtful. The cafe was an absolute delight. It made me feel like I was back at a local cafe in Europe. Lattes were delicious. My husbands chocolate croissant looked amazing but it was unfortunately hard as a rock. ? one woman was making all lattes and orders so it took some time to receive the craft items. Worth the wait on the beverages!Would go again but maybe skip the croissant ??“
“We've had dinner and brunch and both were excellent. Next we want to try happy hour. We were able to park at Balboa Park and walk over otherwise street parking is limited. There is a full bar, inside and outside seating. Outside is more casual.“
“Nutella lovers.....stop what you are doing and check this place out!!!!! We found their little setup at the temecula farmers market on a Saturday morning! We tried the banana, strawberry and nutella crepe!!! Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this treat and I want more!! Staff was very friendly as well and service was quick. They have a variety of sweet crepes and savory crepes! Definitely check them out!!“
“Was recommended this place for being quaint and having delicious food! Didn’t disappoint in any way. Thomas was superb and the food was so amazing!! The flight wine is a must try, as well as the mussels and all the pasta!!Kid-friendliness: Thomas was able to make a kid friendly pasta for our toddler!! So happy“
“Our food was absolutely delicious. I ordered fruit de mare which was the perfect amount of food. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the salmon sausage was not hot. The rest of the food was really hot but I don't like to know that somethings been previously taken out of the refrigerator. It would've been seared or something. My bourbon drink was delicious with cacao bitters. And my partners meal was also delicious scallops which were a little undercooked and a delicious risotto. I'd go back all the time if I lived there closer“
“Really good and healthy menu choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to come again.Parking: Park one block up off main drag. There were plenty of diagonal spaces in front of townhouse apartments and at 1:30 on a Monday, most were available.“
“A great restaurant with creative dishes and a very friendly and attentive staff. A lovely atmosphere with delicious food, this is a restaurant I will definitely return to. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager who convinced my I had to try the Griddled Banana Bread (I didn't need much convincing ?) and it was beyond words. Spectacularly scrumptious. I couldn't even wait to take the picture - I just had to take that first bite! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!“
“A nice little place in North Pacific Beach. I didn't stay long for the ambiance, but I only went in to get a sandwich on a baguette because when I wasn't in France, it was the one thing I enjoyed. I love getting fresh baguettes in the morning and their pastries. The ambiance does seem nice if I had time to dine in. I probably would enjoy it more. But I do recommend this place for anyone who wants to grab. Either a quick bite to eat or a nice. Sit down area for breakfast or lunch.“
“I would have given five stars across-the-board if not for one issue. They are understaffed. The waiter was much too busy for the number of tables he had, and while we definitely don't mind waiting, my mother started having a bad coughing attack, and he still hadn't brought any water to the table after 20 minutes. I went to the bar to ask for water because she was having a hard time, and he didn't listen to me, he just kept saying “in a minute, in a minute” when I insisted I just needed a water quickly for her. I had to rush across the street to get some water for her. Eventually he brought over our beverages, but not a water for her. That being said, the food was delicious, and definitely worth the value . They just need some help.“
“We got the prosciutto panini, chocolate & banana crepe, pistachio matcha latte, and London fog tea. Everything was soooo yummy, I'm still thinking about the prosciutto panini to this day The London fog was delicious, but the pistachio matcha latte was lacking the pistachio The crepe made me crave some more crepes. It took a while for our crepe to arrive though cause they took back the number stand thing and didn't know which table the crepe goes to.. BUT!! Would definitely come again to try their other savory breakfast items“
“The most beautiful decor and unique experience. We were lucky - arrived right at 4 pm on a Friday and sat at the rotating carousel bar. What a delight! We only had a few cocktails - each unique and complex and expertly curated. Highly suggest for date night, friend night, any occasion. If you come during peak times definitely grab a reservation.“
“I had a great time at zinque. I got the steak and fries. Steak was a perfect mid rare. The atmosphere is definitely super nice as well as the service. Perfect atmosphere to go on a date of with friends.Parking: There are parking lots north and south of the restaurant.“
“Delicious food, which was well plated. I had a mussel bisque en route. She had a salad with pan seared prosciutto. We shared a scallops dish and filet mignon. Melt in your mouth! The sourdough was warm and sour. The chocolate cake was light and tasty. We will repeat.“
“My morning visit to Mimis Cafe was an absolute delight, thanks to the exceptional service provided by our server, Rosalio. He was attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our breakfast experience was nothing short of amazing. The highlight of our meal was the French onion soup, a surprising but welcome start to the day. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The omelets were fluffy and packed with fresh ingredients, while the potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like them. It's rare to find such a combination of great food and service, but Rosalio and Mimis Cafe managed to deliver. Highly recommended!“
“We love brunch here - dinner is a different level of service. We were handed a happy hour menu and later told by the server it was not being honored because it's Easter Sunday. Not Michelin Star service to not have a manager address it. Further, our escargot is normally fantastic - but they all had dirt in them this time. We did not report this to service because it seemed like a forgivable anomaly at the time. We'll be back - but probably stick to brunch.“
