Pillbox had good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Solid slightly above pub grub style food, good beer selection and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong. Really liked the overall feel of this place, and would be a regular if I lived in the area.

Bomb lil spot in Solana Beach. Pillbox has a local feel that doesn’t often have a free barstool. They have a patio that is dog friendly. Despite the local beer offerings, wine, and booze, the highlight is food menu. You can get a burger and a beer for 15$ on Monday. They also have mac salad as a side option. #Win Pillbox is a great spot for happy hour and catching a game on one of the many tvs. Thanks!Kid-friendliness: Families were dining on our visit and they looked like they enjoyed it!

Every time I get a craving for wings, I go here. This place is consistently good. Great prices, great food, great drinks, and right by the beach! It's perfect

Stopped in a quick lunch, it was good. We both got 3 tacos, a basket of fries, and the tres amigos appetizer. If you looking for more traditional street tacos this is not the spot, the tacos were great though. Flour tortilla, lots of protein options, come with tomatoes, slaw, a spicy dressing and a tiny bit of cilantro

We moved to Cardiff 2.5 years ago and this has been a favorite spot since then. We are huge wings fans, and theirs are some of the best we've had anywhere!! They have lots of different flavors, Sweet Flame and honey teriyaki are two favs. Today we tried the fish and chips for the first time...OMG seriously one of the absolute best fish on a fish and chips I've had!! The batter is light and crispy, and the fish is moist and flakey. The tartar sauce is good too. The French fries are delish too. I don't think we've ever had anything we didn't like. The service is friendly...great locals spot!

Great and cozy local vibe right by the beach. I really liked my burger and fries, delicious! Service was great too. One issue though was that my Chardonnay tasted old and flat. Other than that, good experience and would come back.

Came for a preshow dinner with friends. Sat outside, which was a nice setting. Service was a bit slow, which was understandable given the crowd and football madness. I had the tri tip dip, Philly style. My friends each had the fish and chips. Ample amounts of food and all was tasty. Good beer

I'm a wing man and this place great ones a majority of the time. Four of six visits they have great, but sometimes, like today, they are over seasoned. I generally get the rubs, Old Bay and Jerk. I was willing to let the first time go as "it happens" but twice in short period of time? I'm going to Common Theory tonight, where the wings never miss.
