Always super fresh and good, my kids demand to go here every time they're in town. Super friendly wait staff always a lively crowd and many good times.

Absolutely great experience after a ten year hiatus - we felt very welcomed by our Chef- I and my two friends both left satisfied. Whether it's nigiri or rolls, they've got you covered here. Park in the rear if it's too hectic up front on the 101. And a great place to "walk off" your meal as it's a single block from Fletcher Cove.

Phone ordered beef teriyaki for lunch. Walked 10 minutes to pick up food, 10 minutes to walk back. No teriyaki sauce in package or on beef. Called and girl said "oh, you can come get it. Walked back and food was cold. Won't go back again.

This place is ?️. Don’t waste your money here unless you are into really rude service and bad sushi. When I say bad sushi, I mean bone in sushi. Yes, there was a big bone in the fish. Place has a really bad smell also.

This place is so bad. First off, the smell around the sushi bar was horrible. Smelled like a bathroom. When we received our edamame, it was cold and the garlic sauce was gross. The sushi came out tasting not so fresh and reminded me of the sushi you'd get at a fast food place in the mall. The big shocker was the bone in the sushi. In all my years of eating sushi, I've never experienced a big sushi bone in the fish. When we alerted the manager/ owner(not sure who she was), she didn't seem to care and was unapologetic. Wouldn't recommend this place for sushi in Solana beach. There are many other better options.

I hate to give a negative review, but the service and food were subpar. Ordered gyoza, asked if they do pan fired, she assured me they can but are normally deep fried. Gyoza arrived deep fried, returned and the next "pan fried" because they were steamed, not crispy on the bottom. Hold that thought for later. I said I wouldn't eat them nor pay for them. No problem and no apology. Ordered teriyaki chicken $18 , chicken was dry, sauce was drizzled on one side, not marinaded. I've never seen anything like this. Ordered som find of crunchy rice appetizer that were so huge the chop sticks broke (lol ). My daughter got stomach sick from her sashimi order. At the end, the bill came and included the gyoza previously mentioned. No apology, no thank you, and and for $50 there was no tip. Steer clear.

Food was good, fresh but nothing over the top stand out. Ambiance was just ok, we were put at a table with two other people at a second table that was joined to our table from the last large party. They could have easily pulled apart the tables for more privacy but they didn't bother. Service was not good. No recommendations on food or drinks, no introduction of any kind. Our waitress opened our wine but didn't pour it and then she asked us to pay before we were even done eating and before restaurant was closed. She stood there and hovered while we got money out. Really bad customer service.

This place was a very special, it had a vibe to it that was just perfect! It was laidback and fun, the food was amazing, kind of pricey but the quality of the food was second to none. Looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend the Bluefin Tuna.

Great local spot where the sushi is good enough and priced right. Inside seating is limited, outside can be noisy because of traffic, but overall it is the kind of local sushi joint every neighborhood needs.

Just had a bad experience as a doordash driver, they gave me the wrong order. Doordash called me, ask me if I would go pick up the correct order which I did and I don't get paid anymore to do this. And when I showed up at the restaura strong they said. Oh, so sorry it was a noonemployee, thank you and smiled, and that was it totally bad service. They don't understand that we don't make any more money. In fact, we lose money and time doing this for the restaurant. Thank you very much. But I will not be ever going to this restaurant. Because that's the way you take care of the DoorDash drivers. I can only imagine how you take care of your customers.
