“I am new to Bellflower, and haven't really acclimated yet. I needed a birthday cake asap. I am so happy I found Fantasy Cakes Bakery. The owner took my order and he was very personable.. I ordered the cake Friday afternoon and it was ready for pick-up Saturday morning... The bakery was not even a five minute drive from my house, lots of ample parking in the back, and the shop is too cute.. that whole area has lots of curb appeal... I don't ever drive that way (work in the opposite direction). The cake was adorable, it was perfect... it wasn't an elaborate cake, but it was perfect for me. I wasn't able to take any pictures, it was eaten in like, 2.4 seconds. I don't even like cake or sweets, but I liked that cake... The cake had lemon cream filling and vanilla frosting, it was moist and just very delicious... all the February birthday names fit perfectly and they loved it... one of my nieces kinda had a tear.. not sure cause I remembered her birthday or maybe because she was suppose to give up sweets for lent.. But I needed mine to be eggless bc of his egg allergy. Everyone I called said I needed to order a week in advance. More of a classic panederia now vs the modern Mexican that was there before, but still very good. The new owners are definitely “mom and pop”, very hard working and very friendly. They didn’t have what I was looking for, which were the mini churros with dipping sauce for my office mates, so I tried a few other options and everyone seemed to love what I brought in. They gave me a card and said I can pre-order anything I wanted, including the mini churros sans dipping sauce as well as other mini versions of their regular pastries. Will definitely be back!“

“My girlfriend and I went since I got a birthday BOGO and it was great. I got banana ice cream with Oreo pans peanut butter cups mixed in with a chocolate dipped waffle cone with nuts. It was magical and my girlfriend got their Mud pie signature ice cream. There wasn't much of a line and we were served quickly and she was patient while I went back and forth about what I wanted. “I visited this bakery with my friend and it was such a chill experience. It's in an inconspicuous spot on Beverly Blvd but once you see it, it's hard to miss. Parking is plenty on the street across from it. Just make sure to check the times for street sweeping. Once inside, they have a little market area on the left where you can purchase snacks and drinks, in the front left is their bakery items and the right is where the food buffet is where you can order combo plates. My friend and I ordered the Rellenitos-mashed plantains stuffed with sweet black beans (make sure to ask for Crema! Sour cream!), Pache-potato tamales with pork, pupusa with pork and cheese, a Concha, and 1 Atol De Elote. The Rellenitos were so yummy! They were fried to perfection with plenty of sweet black beans inside. Adding the sour cream with it added a savory kick which I really enjoyed. Pache-I have never had a potato tamales before so this was a new experience. The texture is very interesting. It kind of reminds me of silken tofu with a grit to it if that makes sense. Smooth but with a bite. The tomato sauce on top was the perfect balance of sweet and sour and I really enjoyed that it wasn't salty at all. It had a good amount of meat inside as well. Pupusa with pork and cheese-this was my favorite! It came with this red sauce and pickled cabbage of sorts and it was the most delicious together! The flavor of the sauce balanced out the cheese and pork and the cabbage added a lovely texture. Concha-sorry for no picture but it was very good. It's smaller than the Mexican concha's that I grew up eating. The bread was not as sweet which I liked and I enjoyed the texture. While chewy, it had a fluffiness to it. Atol De Elote-this drink was at the perfect temperature to enjoy. It had chunks of corn in it as well. The taste reminds me of a corn porridge but less sweet. It's more of dessert drink for me!“

“My girl and I finally made to eat here, today is our 2nd attempt, 1st time said was open but when we arrived was closed. Today i had the chicken wrap which can be pair with green salad or chips and pistachio smoothie for my girl a croissant sandwich and cucumber lemonade. My wrap is really good as well as the smoothie, I'm impressed, now in my girls case lemonade is good, not sweet which is good, the croissant was good but so poor, inside only a slice of tomato, one slice of cheese, one single slice of ham some jalapeño and some greens all this make the sandwich super thin , in my personal opinion this croissant can be prepare better and bigger with more ingredients ,and of course couple more bucks . Will definitely come back and try their breakfast . And our dessert was oatmeal, . They have a nice variety of coffee, frappes, teas cookies, muffins and more,. Workers are very friendly.
