“Thick crust with tons of flavor, with a crispy initial crunch then a soft chewy bread party with lots of air bubbles and oil. Toppings are fabulous. A few vegetarian options exist. The cakes, cream pies, and cookies are equally special. This is a memorable pizza place that you'll talk about for weeks and think about for the rest of the year. $6-8 per smallish 6 inch square slice -- two is typical. Tables for eating in are few and hard to get (waiting for a few hours is not unlikely). Lines are long for take out. Minimal street parking. Friendly and kind service. I'll definitely be coming back.“
“Tiny little bakery, in little Tokyo specializing in Asian baked goods. It was packed so I didn't look at everything they had, but they had plenty of good looking sweet stuff to ruin your Hollywood diet. I just grabbed snacks to take on my travels. I snagged a bag of melon pan and it looks and taste just like anime told me it would. Also got a couple steamed buns, sadly they were sold out of anko, but I got pork and curry. Haven't tried those yet, but the melon pan got me excited for them.“
“What a delightful bakery and coffee shop! I stumbled upon this gem looking around Chinatown for some boba. Their drinks are on the steeper side but they are so good!! Even the cups are cute. I saved my cup after the boba cause the quality of it is so well made that I have to use it again. For 2 milk tea bobas it was $11.They specialize in custom cakes and had a few on display that were mind blowing. The Hello Kitty goth cake was next level. You can find baked treats, custards, mini cakes, and snow ice here ☺️?There’s some seating inside and along the window a few tables and chairs. It’s a delightful spot to look out and gaze at busy Chinatown.Parking is available along the streets in metered spots.Everyone working there was super nice and the service was fast despite the line.“
“Best service ever. I bought a cake for my daughter birthday and after the family tasted it we are using El Mana for every special occasion cake from now on. I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Linda and her mother Elba and their service and attention blew me away. Great family.“
“I love these cuties called senorita bread! These sweet buttery breads are the best to share my culture and taste with everyone I share it to! I bring these for potlucks and always get asked where to buy them! Also these are highly addicting! The line may get long but it's very tolerable and the ladies are so welcoming and nice!“
“I came here to try the cakes. We got the sampler box and was so impressed with the cakes itself. They were extremely tasty, flavorful and rich with flavor. The service was great. It was a small little place with some seating outside. There is also a coffee shop next door if you want to grab some coffee to eat with your cake. We really liked the ube cake, black sesame, Belgian chocolate and lavender lemon.“
“I've had a few cakes from this bakery and they are delicious. The bakery is very cute, def a neighborhood gem. The cakes are large and feed a good amount of people. I like that they can do vegan and everything is decorated beautifully.“
“Went early afternoon on a Friday and ordered the Pupus Platter and a guava Hawaiian sun. The Pupus Platter came with spam musubi, kalua nachos, macnut onion rings, ahi poke, and teriyaki skewers. They also bring complimentary two small hawaiian rolls with butter. I was well tended to, even though I sat at the counter, and my server did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. Portion size was huge and is enough to easily feed two people. No complaints on the food - I was pleasantly surprised by the lighter batter on the onion rings and loved the poke and kalua nachos. They used ogonori if I’m correct in the poke, which gives it a similar chewiness to wood ear mushrooms. It’s a very diner style vibe on the inside, especially with the counter being directly of access to the kitchen and coffee counter. The bakery and restaurant are very fluidly accessible in the same open space concept. A huge variety for the bakery, and a selection of Kings Hawaiian rolls are purchasable as well.Parking: Free parking lot behind restaurant“
“Although I didn't directly purchase cakes from the bakery, my friend brought some slices over to a party, and I FELL IN LOVE.Dude, that chestnut cake is out of this world...seriously. it's the perfect amount of sweetness, nuttiness, and balance of soft and bouncy texture. I also had a taro slice which was also just so yummy. The cream that they use is light and not greasy tasting at all. I can't wait to go back so I can purchase an entire cake for my asian parents who would totally love this cake.“
“Love this bakery and visit it at least twice sometimes three times a week! Love the coffee danish bread, not too sweet. Just right and a little crunchy. I buy the walnut bread for sandwiches which is not like any other bread I've ever had. Makes a sandwich that much better. Love the little crunch from the walnuts. Jin there is. Sweetheart and always greets you with a smile. The little thin disk cookies with I believe almonds are so delish I buy two bags each time I go. I am addicted to this place and hate the weekends cause I always go in on my way to work.“
“I'm honestly here a little too much. I love the coffee here, and the pastry selection is amazing! I often get just a baguette, but when I am feeling something sweet, I'll get there Nutella donut, yuzu saboro, red velvet cake, or when it's the season, their mini pumpkin pies are my favorite. They are right next to a busy Hmart and can have the indoor seating be full of older people, which can definitely lessen the vibe, but I honestly take my pastries to go every time. I even got a blueberry cake for my birthday here and it was delicious! There is parking, but I forget if they validate.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.“
“This is literally one of my favorite places. I love the ube brownies. Their coffee is good too. I normally get the ube one or their kalesta. If you go an hour within closing time they will usually have their pastries 50% off too! Also make sure to join their rewards program since you can get free pastries as you build up points. Good service and their desserts / coffee is good!“
“This is such a cute coffee shop that you can work out of, study, or just go on a date at. The lounge chairs are super comfortable and the service was wonderful. We ordered a few desserts and drinks to try out and my favorite item was definitely the Injeolmi Shaved Ice! I can eat that everyday. They have valet parking or street parking.“
“During my stay in LA I had breakfast three days at this cafeteria and it was really good. Great variety of products, both sweet and savory, tender pastries of the day and good treatment from the staff. I had it near my hotel ? but if you're in the area it's a good place to have a drink or order takeout! Very good coffee! ☕️Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: YeahWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“I've heard rave reviews from coworkers and friends about this place and decided to see for myself. I purchased an ube cream cake ($35 was a phenomenal price for the size and quality) for a friend's birthday. Again, raving reviews all around!“
“I miss coming here after lunch to dine in for coffee and cake, but their cakes are still amazing. Although they don't have table to sit at anymore, my family loves it when I buy their birthday cakes from here. Our favorite is the strawberry shortcake, but sometimes we will order ahead for their other cakes (like fruit tart and tiramisu). I highly recommend their iced coffee and monte Blanc. I also came to check out the Ginza bread Collab they have. I love coming to this cute bakery for any reason I can think of, and the service is always friendly and welcoming.“
“The downtown location is surprisingly clean and their baked goods and pastries are fresh. They appear to have a regular clientele who stops in on their way to work or class. On the weekdays anyway. They probably sell through their products faster maintaining their freshness. This is a takeout only location. No seating at all. Grab and go. It's nearby several downtown hotels, Sheraton, Hilton, Hotel Per La, as well as several colleges. Staff is friendly and efficient. They keep the location clean and tidy. I have observed them handling difficult people, who are not customers, but who walk in off of the streets, with grace and kindness when the situation needs to be addressed. This is a small, but mighty location. People who work, live, go to school or visit downtown L.A. are lucky to have it as a choice among several Starbucks. Parking is a challenge. Metered street parking and a few parking garages are available.“
“This place is extraordinary. Every bread has a unique name... special ones made Fri sat sun like this one it's so delicious it's some sort of rice pudding in the middle the tastes it's so delightful fluffy chewy not too sweet no one makes better bread than this bakery I go Sundays for this special one it's called "el TORCANTE "try it you won't regret awesome prices they even have big gallons of milk and coffee on the go I wish they can make a atole that would rock the guy that works there is supper humble and very nice ...“
“Its right in the corner. Its small but they have all kind of sweet bread. Had a craving. Plus the Birote/ Bonilla looked soon good. [ It was soo crunchy and soft from the inside. Ate it by itself????]. It wasn't packed. It was recommended so I had to go. The Lady who was there was Real Sweet--->no Pun intended. So Great Customer service. Sweet Bread was Real good to. I will be coming Again. Many Blessibgs to All and Stay Safe???“
“Love this place! They have such different pastries that you can't get anywhere else and an amazing tea selection. It's self service so it's fun to walk around and look at everything before you choose, very reasonably priced also and my kids love this place! Fun outing for everyone :)“
“This specific location is located inside the Sea Food City, it is near the entrance to your right. Upon entering you're welcomed with all of their cakes on display, and these in fact are the only ones they serve. I like the fact that they have the prices and such listed on the cakes already, it's also nice to see what you are buying in physical form. My family has been ordering birthday cakes here for years and it seems that all locations have the same recipe, through and through. They are always super tasty! NOTE: Some cakes cannot have writing on them such as the one in my picture, so be sure to check before purchasing. The service was ok.“
“Such an awesome place to grab a pastry and coffee in the morning. Easy to get carried away and get a bunch of pastries but they're all so good!Their service is also excellent. Shout-out to Alan who went above and beyond! They were out of something we ordered then were out of the replacement item but he was so kind and patient to help make sure we got something. He also then brought it to our table which showed he cared about the issue which was very nice.I love the Nutella latte they have!! If you like sweet coffee you'll love this.Bottom line; if you want some tasty pastries and coffee in a chill environment with a friendly staff, you found it!Parking: Parking lot available but often very busy“
“Freshly baked delicious breads, pastry, tarts & cookies served with the best tasting, coffees, teas or fruit drinks in the South Bay! The ambiance is friendly, the staff is polite and accommodating. There's plenty of seating and parking was also a breeze.“
“Ordered 3 cookies from DoorDash tonight. Easily one of my favorite spots to snag some cookies to cure that craving. The chocolate chip is a timeless classic packed with flavor with a punch of chocolate. Perfect mixture of flavor and sugar. Rating 9.8/10 .. The only way this cookie could get better is with bigger chunks of chocolate chips. Now let’s talk about the peanut butter cookie. As a huge fan of peanut butter this hit the nail on the head. By far my favorite out of the order. Each bite was silky smooth just like peanut butter out of the jar and a sweetness of salt and sugar to compliment it. Truly a delicious cookie and a must add to order!Definitely will order more next time!“
“I like the coffee, sandwiches and pastries from this place, I usually shop here once or twice a week. I don't know what is going on but lately they are always out of stuff. The other day they didn't have ice to make an iced coffee so I had to go get my coffee at starbucks. Today the didn't have vanilla syrup to make a caramel macchiato.“
“This is my first time tried the Crossiant taiyaki! Crispy & delicious! Love it! The drink bottle are so cute, I am a collector of drink bottles! They also have a promotio: when you ordered drinks with $4 more they give you the portable cute fan! Love it! Drinks are very original & fresh! I will definitely come back again for the milk carton bottles!“
“The Filipino "SNACK & DESSERT" place to go to. My recommendations: PALABOK family platter (good for 3 to 4) - must drizzle with lemon juice before eating so you maximize savoring the flavor; SANS RIVAL cake, MANGO Cake, EMPANADA, ENSAYMADA, and of course, HALO-HALO. Service is OK. Ambience: quiet, likelihood to have "high traffic" of customers on certain times and days. I forgot to take photos because I'd consume everything before remembering I needed to "memorialize" my food.“
“My favorite place to hang in LA. The staff is super sweet, the food is fantastic, the drinks are amazing, particularly the Ginger Margarita, the atmosphere is gorgeous—whether you’re inside the stunning deco bar or outside on the beautiful patio. It’s a true gem.“
“Wow! What an amazing hidden gem in Carson, CA. Just absolutely incredible, great service, really good mocha latte, and amazingly delicious ? empanadas ? they have a variety of them. They have pork, chicken and spicy chicken. I hope I'm not missing one more, but my personal favorite was the Chicken empanada. So good! Very flavorful and warm. You absolutely have to give them a try. The Mocha Latte was really good, aix of both but more of the mocha and a 4 oz. or so of the espresso on top. Overall, really really good. Definitely recommend when you are wanting to get some good comfort food. They also have different types of Filipino breads and some yummy looking delicious desserts. Five stars! For sure without a doubt. Hands down! Best empanadas I have ever tried, even better than the famous Argentinian styles ones.“
“I've been on the hunt for a new daily coffee spot since quitting my membership to the mermaid and I am so happy that I stumbled across the chain. App , mobile ordering , rewards . The bakery has so many amazing options to choose from and the coffee is not too strong. My kids did not love the chai (I didn't taste it) but the fun bakery makes up for it. This is officially the new family stop on Saturdays.“
“Paris Baguette is one of my favorite go to's for French pastries they do it better than anywhere I've yet to find other than family in Paris. I recommend everything :) nom nom nom nom nommy nom anyone who gives under 5 stars is concerned about price or has bad taste. Just my 2 cents ;)“
“I really love this franchise bakery. The baked goods are all extremely cheap and. Clearly mass produced but still delicious. I love that you can help yourself and can touch and see exactly which baked good you'd like to get. I usually get this buttered bun with almonds on top, two cookies, and a berry tart which comes to about $7. I also like that it's not just a coffee or drink shop. I'm not much of a fancy drink person. I stick with water for the most part so I don't always care to go into a coffee shops because I seem out of place. This place has some decent seating and booths and also has different specialty drinks so best of both worlds. I like sitting here and just hanging out eating a cookie and relaxing for a bit. I haven't been to the others in the LA area but I believe the dtla one is super small so not the same vibe.“
“I came in with my daughter today, hoping to get a certain pastry. Unfortunately they ran out. The young lady at the front counter was very attentive and knowledgeable. She suggested similar pastries and even some of her favorite items. The receipt says that lady’s name is Alana Cruz. So, thank you Alana!“
