“Located just a 15-minute walk from the Ahmanson Theatre, Maccheroni Republic is a wonderful find. The outdoor seating area is inviting, and the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the Burrata appetizer and indulged in two pasta dishes: Bianchi Neri and Pom'Amore, both of which were absolutely delicious. “I went here for my birthday and everything was delicious. We got the focaccia, whipped ricotta, & Cesar for starters. Everything was light but delicious. For the main we had the ragu pappardelle, the lemon pasta & branzino. My partner doesn’t really love branzino but he thought it was delicious. We couldn’t leave without the strawberry ice cream. That was the star of the night because we’ve never had a gelato like it!“

“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere.However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

“Do you want the best Italian sandwich in LA? Well guess what?! You have found it. You will not be disappointed. There is literally no way to feel sad while eating one of these sandwiches. I put Sandwich Day into my calendar and look forward to it like I'm going on vacation. This is also the greatest cross section of Angelenos in one space. The dorky, the svelte, blue collar, white collar, guys in suits who are definitely committing some sort of financial fraud and the police who will someday arrest them. “Heard about this place having the best meatball sandwich (on focaccia) in LA. But we opted for a couple to go dishes since we were in the neighborhood. We purchased the cannelloni with ricotta and spinach entree and the zucchini alla parmigiana. Easy to make hot at home and very delicious. The only disappointment we had was we thought the dishes were a bit on the small side. But I guess that's the price you pay for high quality food. Two entrees cost about $35. It might be nice if a bit of bread was thrown into the take out bag as a surprise. Parking is kind of sparse and the store has a few spaces for seating outside.“

“The last time I ate at Marino's was outside and had a wonderful meal. Think it was during Covid. Last night we stopped in, on a whim, and I am not sure why we have stayed away for so long. Mario, the best.Thank you taking my coat and folding it like an origami gift and seating us in a corner booth. The waiter. I have no name but he was on top of the service chain and good looks to boot, and did not disappoint. Wait staff, so attentive. The food. Divine. Branzino perfectly cooked with a lovely color display of veggies. The salmon lightly cooked and not floating in sauce. Well, then there is the bread and our expertly crafted Negrone's served in vintage glasses. The remodeled dining room - well there is something elegant, old Hollywood about it. “I love pasta sisters so much. I've been coming to the various locations for 6 years now. It's some of my absolute favorite pasta in the city. You can really tell they make it fresh daily and the options to customize it are great. My personal faves- the mushroom, tomato and basil and the pesto but you truly can't go wrong with any of it! “In the summer of 1975, I was only 14, and already a "Busboy extraordinaire"! My family had just moved from East Los Angeles to Monterey Park, and I started working at the best Italian restaurant on the planet, 'Agostino's'. At first, I thought all the beautiful girls were coming in to see me clear dirty dishes off of dirty tables. I later learned it had something to do with the food. And something to do with the restaurants' proximity to Mark Keppel High School. On top of all that. it was Great pizza at an affordable price. I stayed there charming the clientele for about three years. I met members of the M.P. Police, council members, Mayors, and others. I saw my classmates come in with their families, on dates, and in the banquet room after every major school dance. It was a place where you could go have pizza with friends, and not be embarrassed to run into your parents having a nice dinner. It was the hub of all social life in the San Gabriel Valley. I left the restaurant for college in 1978. In 1980, Agostino ("Gus") and Alicia sold the restaurant and went back to Sicily. I hadn't seen them in almost 50 years. A half century! Well, my fellow Monterey Parklandians (is that even a word?), this past weekend my wife says to me: "Remember your wish to step into 1975 and smell the food at Agostino's again"? She then drove me to this small Italian restaurant in the community of Paramount. Inside ..... were Gus & Alicia. The original owners who gave me my first real job so many years ago. The food was as good OR better than I remembered. Just as fresh too. My wife and I split an antipasto salad, a lasagna, and a pizza. Alicia came over to sit with us, we traded hugs & stories. Alicia is as warm and delightful as I remembered her. We didn't spend too much time with Gus, he was busy. Although I believe Gus is still jealous, because Alicia thinks I'm too handsome. It's a mystery. If you lived in the MP/Alhambra area for any amount of time, you surely enjoyed the authentic Sicilian food from Agostino's. And you'll truly enjoy Gus & Alicia's "Cafe Corleone". “We were seated at the counter in front of the salad prep station. It was fun getting to watch some of our food as it was made. My friend and I both ordered wine. Unfortunately the Pinot Gris we wanted was no longer available but I thoroughly enjoyed the Grenache. We ordered the ricotta and bread appetizer, Caesar salad, pork tagliatelle and soppressata and honey pizza. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We finished with the chocolate budino tart. It was yummy but I wish we ordered something else. It didn't feel totally unique. Service was spot on and moved quickly. Would definitely go back!“

“I woke up craving Spaghetti and Meatballs..and found this place.. Ordered a full pastrami sandwich and spaghetti and meatballs..Upon arrival, i realized that I have been in this place before, about 25 years ago or so.The spaghetti and meatballs was phenomenal, with 3 meatballs, and sauce to spaghetti ratio on point.Pastrami sandwich had the perfect moisture and flavor, just the right amount of mustard, would have like a bit more pickles but still a great sandwich.I hate that I didn't get the names of those who attended to me, but 100% great customer service.Safe to say. This is going to be a must go to for me at least once a month..“

“The food at Brera makes your taste buds sing! I know it's corny, but it's true. Their green salad has this light dressing that is so refreshing. The prosciutto pizza was to die for. My boyfriend had the Papatelle and I had the Nettle Pasta with walnut. We walked out full with smiles in our face. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. It was outstanding!! Oh, and the drinks are strong and good!“

“Was craving for a good italian sub and found this hidden gem near my work! Located across from the hospital. Parking was easy; street and parking lot behind the restaurant. Inside was filled with Italian goodies. They sold alcohol, cookies, bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Towards the back of the restaurant was tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich. Came here for the 1st time with my coworker and we tried the Classic 6' sub with 2 sides. I got the macaroni salad and broccoli salad. The sides tasted ok to me but could be better. However, the sandwich was very tasty. I love how much meat and filling it was. I ate it all! We got a piece of tiramisu and that was very very good! The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. Definitely a place to go for lunch or anytime you are carving for a good Italian sandwich! *TIP: call to place your order if you are in a time crunch. We waited for 30 minutes for our food.“

“Delicious, authentic home style Italian food at its finest. the pasta is al dente the sauce is flavorful and simple tomato sauce and just everything is made so well. literally everything is good on the menu. must get that for tender calamari. lasagna, taglietelle and most importantly the famous cioppino will. ot disappoint. probably the best I've ever had. be patient because it takes about 30-40 mins to come out made to order. or pre order before getting to your reservations. “This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price.All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!“

My family and I were pleased with his recommendation because the following day at our baby shower everyone loved it.Bryan congratulated me and my family of our beautiful blessing, because my pregnant fiancé was with me that day.That morning we picked up my fiancé sister from LAX and we decided to stop by for breakfast. And it was a pleasant experience because the breakfast staff greeted us with a smile… a special shout out to Martín! “I've passed the sandwich, place a couple of times before I finally placed an order for pick up because there's usually a crowd waiting inside when I passed by and I wanted to avoid that long wait. So I placed an order for three sandwiches for me and my department for pick up more than an hour in advance. When I get there, they seem busy, and I let them know that I am picking up an order that I placed online and it took them only a moment to find my order and tell me that it was gonna be another 15 minutes til it was ready. So I wait on one of the seats outside 15 minutes and then go back inside, and my order isn't bagged yet. As I'm waiting, someone else comes up because she had called a correction in to her online order. Yes, this review is a bit tedious, but that's what it was like to get my sandwiches which were delicious by the way. Short story long, order in advance and show up 20 minutes late.“

“I visited the restaurant at 3 PM on a weekday and found it half-full, which allowed me to freely choose a seat. The weather was nice, so I opted for an outdoor table. I ordered the sea urchin pasta and salmon pizza. The sea urchin was of high quality, and I felt that they used premium ingredients. The sea urchin pasta was particularly exquisite. While I have had soy sauce-based sea urchin pasta at other Japanese restaurants, which was delicious in its own right, this dish was elegantly flavored with parsley, offering a very special taste experience. I parked on the street nearby.“

“Idk how long this location has been opened, but I just found out, while searching for uni pasta closer to me, that my favorite uni pasta has a 2nd location!!! ? Now I don't gotta drive all the way to Little Tokyo for it. This location is only about 20min (with no traffic ?) from me in the OC!!! Their uni pasta is the best & so is this other dish that my hubby ordered (forgot the name, but it's a bolognese beef stew kind of sauce...it was one of their special item). “AWESOME PIZZA!!!I'm blown away by the quality of your pizza. I ordered the Medium Veggie and boy was I blown away by the quality of the pizza. To start with the dough is hand spun, making it nice and fluffy but not doughy like many others. Crust and undercarriage was crispy not greasy and cooked perfectly. The sauce was perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Plenty of vegetables and perfectly balanced cheese. If you are looking for a great pizza this is definitely the place. I am a tough person to satisfy when it comes to pizza but this place gets two thumbs up! I'll definitely be back. Also the service is friendly. This place is a hidden gem, so many small pizza places are dissappearing because people settle for cheap, disgusting pizza. I am happy to discover this place! Keep up the great job! Good luck!“

“One thing about Uber Eats is you get to discover great places to eat. This restaurant was local and had very good food. I love Calamari and there are a lot of ways to prepare it. Fried is my favorite and this spot didn't disappoint ? here the calamari is mixed with big pieces of shrimp and tomato pasta sauce.
