“So, I decided to give this spot another try since the food was good first time. This time I opted to call at 530pm.... Google says open until 9pm. She said "We are closed! "Wtf it's 530! She said ok, I will take your order ...I said well I am driving 40 min away...she said okay! How sweet.., I asked for 1 oxtail dinner and 1smothered steak. Asked for yams and greens and mac and cheese. I got 3 sides Mac and greens only. Still grateful to, because I told her I only had some of the cash and she said it's ok and kindly sent me home! Main issue I have is ....I didn't get ANY gravy at all I had a comfort food craving and that entails lots of smothered gravy. I had to come home and make some gravy. I believe they have new owners because the name changed to Sol of Los Angeles. There is a buffet in Gardena...it's written on the wall!****Owners ****please update the hours on line ,I drove really far and they were closing hours earlier. I included a screenshot of the information given. I just tried the smothered steak I used to love and this one today is dry, unflavored and hard with no gravy. Oxtails we're very small and minimal, no gravy and overpriced for the value. Both these items total close to $40....“

“Best Chicken I ever done did have, chicken is juicy, the spice is out of the world, and when they say hot, they mean HOT! The staff was also the nicest I've ever talked to, asking me if I was sure I wanted the x-hot. They even gave a sampler to show me what's up! They also gave me a lil somethin extra, and they're overall the nicest staff I've ever had the pleasure of talking to! 11/10 would recommend!“

Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“

“I ordered the 2 piece combo you get 1 side and choice of role or some type of sweet bread with powdered sugar. I opted for the roll and spicy rice. It was truly delicious, hot and reasonably priced. The rice was cooked to perfection and spicy good with chicken in it. The only thing is a lady in a wheelchair was in there begging for money. These establishments need to run them out.“

“Last night my brother and I visited this establishment while looking for somewhere to eat. The service was good and the atmosphere was kick back. We ordered the chicken basket and it was wickedly delicious. The way the chicken was prepared, widely woke up our taste buds. “I love bludsos, have a great fondness for Robert earl's.... But the food I just had from Wrigley bbq was a life changing experience. I have never had burnt ends so good, ribs so flavorful. A very small parking lot is behind the restaurant and shops.Kid-friendliness: Saw kids there. “We live a block away passed by many times telling ourselves we should try that place, omg! It’s totally awesome! Starting from Shae the sweet waitress she was so kind and lovely and she spoiled us from the moment we entered the restaurant. “First off, the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. In the Arts District where you can expect your coffee to be $7, $9ish for a full cocktail is not bad! I've enjoyed everything here, the fried chicken in particular was well-seasoned. The only thing I thought was meh was the fried broccolini, the batter was a little too heavy for me so I didn't finish it.You seat yourself and can either order using the QR code at your table or try to flag someone down, but mobile order seems faster. There is also self-serve water.My only suggestion is that sometimes it can get quite sunny so would be nice to have some kind of shades when the sun is getting low and get in your eyes.Update: sounds like the shade issue has been resolved since I've last gone! “Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice.Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.“

“I went for lunch with a friend during the week. It was near the holidays, so pretty empty. There was one guy working the tables and the service was fine (he was friendly but took his time to come over).They definitely give you large portions, which I was happy about. I had the jambalaya and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes. Both were seasoned well and the accompanying corn bread was delicious. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the chicken in my jambalaya had a slightly rubbery, processed taste/texture. “Best BBQ I've had in years! The meat was incredibly tender, and the sauce was it's perfect pairing. My husband and I LOVED the mac and cheese, too, it's unlike any I've had before in flavor, and the most perfect creaminess. My husband was rabing about the thick, delicious chili as well. “Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. “What's wrong with me? I've been to the Long Beach creamery and the Bundt cake place but never tried the meat place. It seems like it was closed whenever I came to this shopping center over the years. I have finally gone several times in the last 2 months and love it! Their smoked chicken sausage has fresh herbs that you can taste like sage and oregano and it's such a depth in the flavors -- you don't even need any BBQ sauce. I've used the sausage for my Cajun pasta, and my New Year's black eyed peas. I've also used them in a chicken pot pie I made on Christmas. You can't go wrong here although it's a little on the pricey side, it's worth it for fresh quality smoked meat! My new go-to!“

The smash burger is affordable, and the patty is decent quality, but mine was a little bland and started breaking apart. Their briskets are decent -- tender and flavorful. Will definitely return.“

“We ordered Dinner combo 9. We got our order after 15 minutes, which was quick. We tried the red snapper, and it's was good. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay.The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or take it home.“

“Chef Marilyn's has been a staple in LA for many years at this location and the other location across from McDonald's near 43rd. Lines are always long as it's a takeout location but the food is always good. I get her prices went up but what hasn't these days. Inflation is real for food, groceries and gotta keep staff at competitive wages. The food is so bomb nothing is never nasty chicken meatloaf spaghetti yams greens cornbread smothered chicken and her gumbo is everything. We love it here and will keep visiting. Her ambiance is a to go so it's busy and staff can be a bit slower but they are friendly. Some of the best soul food on the west coast.“

“OMG what can I say about Dulan's so me and my family traveled all the way from Palmdale to this place because my nephew loves it so much now they have a few restaurants throughout la and they all taste the same quick service friendly staff the food OMG the food was so damn good I literally went to go try another restaurant that's not affiliated with them when I tell you I cried lol yes I did because the other restaurant food was trash I spent damn near $20 for trash so by the time I went back to Dulans they was closed i was mad ?the I think I had about everything they had on the menu the next time I went back so good I think know I feel that they cook their food with love because how could something tastes so good to be having you travel almost 2 hours just to get their food I promise you as long as they stay open I will never go to anot“

Helpful, pleasant attitude, and on the ball with it all.Having taken a nap, I came in with a pleasant attitude, though I was a bit hungry.My family had been in first, and ordered and had begun eating.We had ordered the Family Supper for $139.99 and the kids enjoyed a burger and a grilled cheese.The ribs tasted just right, as I had commented to Alex. Some other instances in the past, the ribs have missed their mark in being good.Food was tasting great.The thing that capped it all off was being here to celebrate my son's birthday and my daughter's artwork winning first place in an art exhibit.I cannot speak for the other servers for today, but I would encourage any customer that comes in, to ask for Alex. He will take care of you and make sure your dining experience is a good one.Oh, and do not forget to tip Alex --or any server you get-- appropriately and properly.Parking: Parking can be a difficult issue at peak times.There is a multiplex movie theater than can draw in quite the crowd, thereby making nearby parking scarce.Wheelchair accessibility: With me not using a wheelchair, I cannot comment on all aspects of their accessibility.They do have a ramp out front to give access into the front of the restaurant.There is a restroom stall that is wheelchair accessible.The difficulties may arise when trying to navigate a wheelchair around or through the bar area to get to that restroom.“

“Great bbq sauce with the meal. The bbq chicken salad is so good. As good as Stonefire Grill. We had great service, the staff were all friendly, helpful and so courteous. The ribs were so tender, that they fell off the bone. Portions are large and can be family style. Plenty of parking. My first time there and will be my go to place.“
