The Gingerbread almond latte was okay, not sure which syrup it was but it overpowered the taste a bit. Still I recommend it to others!

Fantastic place and awesome staff. Can't wait to come back again.

“We had a small wedding reception here on August 19. We started in the garden until rain moved in and MacDuffs quickly moved us inside and upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was awesome and working with MacDuffs beforehand was great too. We were a party of 18 from Michigan and everyone was very complimentary! Highly recommend!!’”

traditional and family-owned Mexican restaurant. there are six or seven tables to eat inside and they only take cash. super burrito is like a giant burrito and the ingredients are fresh and good quality. it's not a fancy place but I like the vibes of home atmosphere. prices are 20 to 30% lower or even better than other local Mexican restaurants.

I'm a brewery fiend. I travel a lot, and everywhere I go I look for the local brewery/breweries. I've tasted some weird stuff, some great stuff, and some just plain bad stuff. Tahoe Brew House makes some of the great stuff.

This won't be your average brewery visit, but it will be well worth your time! And, if you're anything like me, you'll make the time to visit more than once.”

We had the old fashioned, Basil Aviation Drink (forgot the name), and espresso martini, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was great!! We usually are very picky about our cocktails and these were well balanced. We would definitely recommend to anyone in the area! They were the best drinks we had during our stay.”

However, portions are small. The filet is literally tweezer food. Like it could have been one course of a 10 course tasting menu, that small. The gratin potatoes were really good but was (no joke) one mouthful. Also, I’m not certain that it was 6oz. petite filet as our server mentioned but maybe 6 thin slices, 4oz at best. There was no sharing, I ate that shiz in 4 bites, $26. I’m all for high quality and I’m happy to pay $60-75 for a New York (not even the best cut, obviously not Morton’s steakhouse prices or portions with super inflated white collar independent steakhouse prices, or even like Paul Flemings steakhouse quality, you know Paul Fleming right, the PF Chang’s parent company) but knock my socks off guys, like make those the 4 best bites I’ve ever put in my mouth.”

For entrees, we had the mushroom ravioli and the scallops - yum! Cooked perfectly, and the sauces were rich and flavorful, will definitely order these again! We passed on dessert, but a bottle of New Zealand Sauv Blanc was perfection as we delighted in the wonderful service. Will enjoy this place again and again!”

My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant.

We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on google, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on!

The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything.

From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn’t hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army ?. The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection!

You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was!

If you’re looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant look no further because Hunan Garden Restaurant is everything you’re looking for and more!”

“This wonderful little place checks all the boxes. 1) The food is great and reasonably priced. Our party of four for lunch ordered two pizzas and one pasta and nobody left hungry. Everything we ordered was delicious and my companions were genuinely impressed. The pizza menu has some great offerings you don’t see too often outside Italy, including arugula and prosciutto atop pizza. The pasta and sauces are made in-house by the owner from northern Italy as well!! The beer and wine list is small, but well curated with something for everyone. Even the espresso exceeded my expectations. 2) The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Even if you peek inside the open kitchen you’ll find everything clean, neat, and organized. 3) Most importantly, the staff, including the warm owners, are hospitable and welcoming. Everyone was kind and all of our needs were taken care of without our having to ask. A family with two younger children came in after us and they were given the same care and attention that we received. Our experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was top-notch and I can’t recommend the place enough.”

This is a perfect stop for anyone wanting a cozy chill treat in Lake Tahoe • SPANISH FRIENDLY ?? • modern but mountain-y cafe vibes. Cashier was very friendly, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. They have menus on a big screen behind the register but paper menus you can read closer as well —

Parking: On the left hand side of the cafe there is a drive in that is not paved you can park right next to the little shop - otherwise there is free marked parking on the side of the road if you turn on the right hand corner”

The food was surprisingly very good and cheap, with generous portions, served in foam containers. There was no bells and whistles, with basic service, but the place was simple yet clean, with burning hot delicious Chinese foods. We definitely will come back with our next trip to Lake Tahoe. Yes, we had plenty of left over to take back to the hotel. Parking was ample and right next to the place.”

The summer rolls were tightly packed and came with a nice peanut dipping sauce, the banh mi was overall authentic (with herbs, pate and the nice bread (IYKYK)) but the pork could have had a bit more flavour - albeit the extra hoisin sauce provided worked well for this. The pho broth and noodles were really tasty the only improvement would have been chunks of freshly cooked chicken rather than thin, sliced packet chicken.”
