This is the best spaghetti sauce ever!!!! This was the only spaghetti sauce I used to use, so authentic and just plain delicious. I was so sad to see it discontinued from the grocery stores, "How could Prego and Ragu still be sold at every grocery store" and the best spaghetti sauce ever is officially a thing of the past smh. I would literally drive 60 miles from my house to South SF just to go to the factory and pick up this spaghetti sauce "It was just that good". Me being such a big fan of Italian food this sauce was as close to authentic as you could get. I have yet to find a spaghetti sauce that comes close to Homestead and I probably won't.

Been using the product for decades. I wish they give out the recipe. Nothing is the same without it.

Best pasta sauce ever..next to my mothers. Seems the company has closed after 100 years. So sad. If I'm mistaken please let me know.

Sorry to tell you that this Homestead facility is closed they're changing ownership and may not ever sell ravioli again. Another ravioli shop in San Francisco to close so sad.

Holy moly, the food they make here is fantastic. The tamales that Casper's Hot Dogs sells are made here. They even make the mole sauce to smother them with. If you want to try the tamales Casper's sells them for $4.99 each. Add diced onions and shredded cheese and you've got a gourmet tamale. Look online at Homestead Pasta for a great line-up.... I get them in person at their location in South San Francisco....

I couldn't get a Golden West turkey tamale (in the husk) so I thought I'd try a Garabaldi turkey tamale instead. I should have gone without! This was the worst "tamale" I've ever had. There was absolutely no turkey in it (luckily I had some shredded chicken to add to the mess), even though the label lists turkey as the first ingredient, the polenta was tasteless and the sauce was bland enough for a baby. And the combination was disgusting. I will never buy Garabaldi tamales again and since I had purchased two, I threw the second one out uneaten.

Cheese ravioli's are horrible. All dried out, obviously a very old batch. Note: No expiration date on packages, so they could be an expired batch. Was extremely disappointed and wasted my batch of homemade sauce on these ravioli's. If you want great ravioli's...although 3 times the price, and well worth it, go to Lucca's Deli in the Marina District of S.F. Much much better quality and tasting!

I recently moved from San Francisco to the East coast. My wife was home sick for her childhood Italian dishes. David and the staff of Homestead Pasta Company were nothing short of Amazing by helping me provide an incredible dinner. The customer service and the ravioli's were both amazing! The items I ordered were delivered as promised and just as tasty as my wife remembers! Thank you Homestead Pasta

My 5 stars are for both customer service and their food. We recently moved out of California and my wife was homesick for authentic Italian ravioli's. Homestead Pasta provided excellent customer service with my Express Mail order. The food arrived in perfect condition and it was just as delicious as when we lived in San Francisco. I am very excited to know that we can still enjoy our favorite ravioli's even on the other side of the country!

Sorry; I hate giving low ratings but the Homestead ravioli are really not good. Tough, thick dough and rather flavorless. There are several other local brands available in Bay Area specialty stores that are so much better; Homemade brand is the first brand that comes to mind. I purchased a carton of Homestead meat ravioli at Calmart as a first course for Sunday night dinner. I made a delicious sauce "from scratch". From the moment I opened the Homestead carton I was suspicious: the pasta appeared thick and tough , but I remained hopeful. After following the cooking instruction, I lifted the ravioli out from the water and mixed them into my sauce. They still maintained the tough appearance. One bite told the tale: what a disappointment . We all pushed them around on our plates, ate the sauce and avoided the thick , tough textured tasteless pasta. If you think I didn't cook the pasta correctly, that was not the case. I followed directions and at end of directed cooking time, taste tested one. When I found it still thick and tough, I cooked for a few additional minutes. Sorry; I will never spoil another meal by serving this brand again. I have no vested interest in promoting other brands, but Homemade brand or the ones sold at Lucca in the Marina or Molinaris in North Beach put Homestead brand to shame.

A secret gem in south city!! I've grown up with the sauce, and it's been a secret recipe in my family for years! So happy they now accept all major credit cards.

We're vegans and they make wonderful vegan produces and when my spouses mother celebrated her 100th birthday, we threw a large party and served a variety non-vegan Homestead products that were thoroughly enjoyed.
