3/26/2024The Pasta Market460 E El Camino RealSunnyvale, CA 94087We went there for lunch on a Tuesday around noon. It's in a small shopping center near Fair Oaks Ave with lots of parking. We usually go to their place in Los Altos and the SV place is very similar. Order and pay at the counter on the RHS, seat yourselves on the LHS in the dining area and wait for your order brought to your table. This place is newer than the Los Altos location and they have identical menus.Wifey had the Meat Ravioli with Marinara Sauce and I had the Seafood Linguine with the house Salad. We both chose garlic bread, which could have used more garlic. I sampled some of the large round Ravioli and it was good. My house salad consisted of a generous amount of fresh Romaine lettuce, topped with carrots, red cabbage, tomatoes and a cucumber. My Linguine was excellent with a good quantity of the seafood in a slightly spicy tasty Marinara sauce.Service was fast, although every thing was brought to us at once, so my dish cooled off a bit while I finished my salad. Quantities were ample and a good value. Definitely repeatable.

We’ve been here before and have returned multiple times since because the food is really good. This last time we visited though stood out because of a particularly considerate act by one of the female employees on duty. My wife and I had just been brought our food and were preparing to eat when a man entered the restaurant to pick up a to-go order. This man was loudly talking to someone on speakerphone, and I think most of us know how loud the person on the other end of the call can sound on speakerphone too. . . Until this time, my wife and I had been the only customers in the restaurant. To my surprise, we overheard the young female employee politely ask that the man on the phone switch off speakerphone or take the conversation outside until his order was ready for pickup because she had customers who were dining. That blew my mind that a restaurant worker, nowadays, would be so considerate to their customers and do what she did to try to ensure a nice dining experience for them. I was beyond pleasantly impressed and I commend her for her actions. This is a great example of what service should be about in the dining industry, whether it’s a fine dining establishment or casual dining like this. Thank you for being so professional and considerate in this world of ever-increasing disregard for good old fashioned manners.

This place has gotten way better than our first visit many years ago when we vowed we'd never go back. But the recent reviews seemed promising and this is one of the few places that serve spaghetti al la puttanesca. But their version is spicy with red pepper flakes which I don't enjoy and full of shrimp which I don't eat so it makes it $24. My dish came with minestrone soup which was filling, and garlic bread which was good but not great. The baked ziti was delicious and generously portioned and only $14. The salad was just mediocre. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Great place to grab a quick lunch. Reasonable prices, good portion sizes, good quality for the price and ample parking lot parking. Theres nothing bad about this restaurant, but you also won't be wowed.

Quite Right - on demand (always on) traditional Minestrone soup is best on the West Coast.

I didn't partake in their namesake item, but I really enjoyed the veal parm sandwich I had. Nice cozy atmosphere and very nice staff too.

Lunch special portions of ravioli were spot on! Undercooked. Weird pesto sauce, no pine nuts, avoid. Garlic bread is crunchy, bread sticks are not. I will not return. My food expectations were not met. They were not busy, maybe 3 tables were occupied. Not a big place.

The Greek salad was a pile of black, slimy greens with a smattering of huge chunks of onion & cucumber. A Greek salad has no greens. We had to throw it away since it was spoiled. The 1/2 pasta 1/2 ravioli dish was child sized and the quality was buffet or cafeteria at best. The breadsticks were tough and chewy. The cheese spread tasted like the pub cheese from Trader Joe’s. The lemonade cake was a tiny sliver and not great quality. This is American cafeteria food disguised as Italian food.

Pick up process for online orders could use some improvement. Maybe they are short staffed?
