I'm not sure where to start. I'm a sushi snob no doubt. LA has great sushi at all price levels. At the high end, you have to be unique and have the best ingredients. Sushi Iki which only does omakase does it better than just about anybody in town. Eddie, the owner and chef, is 79 with the energy of a 19 year old and he knows his fish. Celebrated my 30th birthday here. Everything was delicious! Chef Eddie was very fun to talk to and the service was attentive. Love the thick-cut fish on the sushi!! So satisfying!!!
Sushi master Chef Eddie and his sweet wife run this restaurant intimately and efficiently. The fish is of high quality with some pieces unique to lki. He offers only dinner omakase at either $100, $200, or an open tab to include King Crab. Service is excellent. Ambiance is elegant and cosy: beautiful wood paneling, stone and tile work with beautiful touches like a wall hung mini water fall.
