Great restaurant, food and service. Really wanted the lobster ravioli but that was not available until 3p so I will have to come back to try. Wine was very good. Definitely going back.

Travis was our exceptional server and steered us to the right food and wine. The Sea Bass and Filet were delicious. We didn't have time for a full tasting but really enjoyed our late lunch.

Best food ever and great service but for $50 an entree I shouldn't have to deal with mobs of screaming children doing cartwheels 3 feet away from me while the parents do nothing and the staff just laughs. Want to go back for the food but cannot justify taking the chance of my expensive meal being ruined by a Chuck E. Cheese like environment.

First of all their website noted that their attire status was "casual elegant", or in other words fairly classy attire, not jeans and tennis shoes. Hardly anyone came dressed appropriately except for my wife and I. The tables were cheap and flimsy, no place settings were on the tables, and it took an act of God to get the full attention of a waitress. Our waitress was haphazard, confused, and we couldn't keep her attention for more than 30 seconds. Cheap paper menus were tossed at us when we sat down, and it was hard to communicate with her about what we wanted. We asked for two glasses of wine, and before we could continue with a request for an appetizer she was off to another table. We started with a $30 minute plate of calamari, in which my wife found a large piece of plastic embedded in one of the pieces. Warm bread was not complimentary, it was $10 and stale an the only thing warm was from a hot light. We both ordered the Pesto Premavera, one with shrimp and one with chicken - $30 plus the extra for the shrimp or chicken $12 and $10 respectively. With two moderate glasses of wine, the whole tab was $172.50 and the food was mediocre at best. When I gave her my credit card for the tab I also provided a $50 gift card against the bill. When the bill was returned and charged to my card it came back at the full amount without the credit for the $50 gift card. When I pointed this out to our ditz of a waitress she said, 'Oh, I gave it to my manager and she had to take it to the gift shop to process it." (as if that was some justification as to why they charged my card full tilt. She took the bill back and returned with both receipts and told us the $172.50 would show as a credit on my card tomorrow, and go ahead and sign the new bill at $125.50. Notice, the amount reduced was not equivalent to $50, but we were so burned out going through this we just thanked God we could get out of this place. We would not recommend this place to anyone!

Went there for a Valentine's Day meal. It was just ok. Way over priced for what it was. I got filet mignon and it was cooked well throughout (sous vide) but it was not on the grill long enough after, so it was a bit flavorless and boring. The atmosphere just felt like we were being hustled through. We had a reservation for 6:45, arrived at 6:30 and were told that they would seat us closer to the reservation time. Got a glass of wine and checked back in at 6:45 since we had been out of hearing range for a bit, and were told that there were 4 couples in front of us with the same reservation time and we would be seated in the order we checked in. So, we were clearly and told to wait and then at our reservation time we were told to wait. I felt like this was a little rude. Like, I get waiting, but don't make it about one thing and then another, because I was basically told that I was too early, and then that I was too late. Had a bottle of wine, and the total bill came out to $340 with added onto the bill. In all, it just wasn't worth it. It didn't feel “special” like I hoped it would.

Cafe Champagne was WONDERFUL!! We enjoyed the beautiful delicious food (all of it). The dessert was beautifully decorated and delicious as well. The champagne was great! The service was attentive extra great! We will definitely be back for Valentines dinner next year. Making reservations was sooo easy.

We arrived timely for our reservation, but all the window seats had been given to walk-ins and the hostess wanted to seat us at a tiny table in the corner. I guess taking the time to make a reservation means nothing. Food service was good. The food was not. We sent the calamari back twice and ended up having them remove it from the bill. Extremely rubbery! The brussels sprouts were adequate. My husband's burger was grey and boring. Fries, soggy and cold. My flatbread definitely needed salt, and it left me wanting. We enjoyed the wine, but there's great wine all over the valley. They touted coming there for Valentine's lunch, and we did. We wished we had gone elsewhere.

This was the first time in ages that the service was not up to par. Took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine! 40 minutes plus for our food. Food was not very hot. The entrée ordered was supposed to have porcini mushrooms in the pasta and instead they loaded it with an assortment of vegetables. I would not have ordered this had I known it was not what was on the menu. They should have told me. The brie on the appetizers now cost twice what it used to and is half the size. Very disappointing. We have always had great service and great food here so I don't understand what happened. They were not understaffed, so there was no reason for it to take that long to get our drinks or our food.

Our first time dining at Thornton's Champagne Cafe, and it was wonderful for many reasons. We were a little early for our 2pm reservation but was seated immediately at an inside table. The room was well appointed with tablecloths & napkins. Our server Travis was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Please thank him for us. The food was delicious and the wine was excellent. Although there were several tables occupied when we arrived, room was quiet and other conversations non-intrusive. We could actually converse across the table which, lately has not been the norm in some establishments. We will definitely return in the not-to-distant future!

Love the delicious chocolate , Raspberry and almond wine! Food is great but should add more entree selection. The ambiance can definitely be improved with more appealing decor like flowers on the ceiling (trending right now) and beautiful lamps/light or chandeliers.

The food here was truly delicious although at 1 o'clock they were already out of calamari. The wine, unfortunately is slightly subpar. We both had terrible headaches! Our waiter was Magnificent even turning up the heaters for us. The atmosphere was very cold, and the view was overrated. We likely won't be back but thank you for being open on New Year's.

I received two emails confirming reservations, that had a menu link, each time I checked it it NEVER said it was a special fixed price menu. Well at$115 per person, we thought it wound be 5 star. Not so Much . Appetizers were a joke, other than the soup. We all tried something different. Two of us ordered Rack of lamb, one lobster, one prime rod. The prime rib was the only one decent. We sent are rack of lamb back twice, completely u der cooked- to the point of raw inside . Finally had it switched out for prime rib, the dessert, let me just say, Costco ls pecan pie did circles over yours. Chocolate cake was dry and embarrassing to serve. So very disappointing with a bill over $700 for 4 people. Guess we will stick with cooking our own Christmas dinners. On top of it, the outside was barely decorated. Overall a completely disappointing Christmas family dinner.

Very enjoyable dining experience. Had a great view from our window seat. Did not feel rushed and service was timely and friendly, Kathy was very attentive to the detail. It was a set menu due to the holiday but everything served was delicious. Thank you.

You have to eat prior to a day of wine tasting. It was a great starter, nothing special. The service was excellent.

It was Thanksgiving and the place was packed. I understand it is hard to prepare 100's of meals and much has to be per-prepared. My prime rib was cooked perfectly, but it was much tougher than most prime rib cuts. The service was outstanding and considering how buys they were, service was off-the-chart amazing.
