Traveled in from Texas and picked them randomly from maps. What a wonderful place. Highly recommended. Enjoyed our wonderful conversation with Robin. Step out of your “bubble” and “let down your hair.” As Robin shared… “let’s put human back into Humanity.”

I love this place, supper tidy and clean. I LOVE the combination of Cafe and Chess. For those who love to play chess, I recommend this place. Get yourself a matcha/coffee and play a game.

If you have yet to try Historia Bakery Café in Thousand Oaks, you're missing out on some truly great coffee creations. The beans are perfectly roasted, and unusual menu items like Los Cubano (double shot with brown sugar and crema) and the Blueberry Lavender Latte are a real treat. Don't forget the actual treats, though. Omfg, the pastries. All are, in a word, incredible. The lemon bars are subtly sweet/tart, not overpowering, and the croissant creations are expertly flaky. Also fantastic are the breakfast sandwiches. All of this is enough to keep us coming back, but today we spent some time chatting with Robyn, the delightful proprietress. This amazing woman works 7 DAYS A WEEK, and her commitment shows in the warm atmosphere and truly spectacular food and bevs. Run, do not walk, to check out Historia! If you're not impressed, you may want to have your taste buds tested!

What a wonderful bakery cafe. I visited late morning and had a breakfast sandwich and drip coffee. The sandwich was amazing. Served on a pretzel croissant with perfectly melted cheese and a perfectly fried egg that had just set so it wouldnt drip all over your hands, but it also wasn't overcooked. The coffee appeared to be their own roast and it was very nice. I will be back!

This is a cute shop!! Came in here for the first time since I am working in the area, the staff was super friendly from the moment I walked in. I had ordered an iced white mocha latte at first but they were out of white mocha, however, the gentleman making the drinks jumped in and said he would make me a custom drink, his version of a gingerbread latte, which was too good!!! So happy with my coffee for the day and will be coming back. No picture taken as it was the middle of the day and it looked like they had sold out of a lot and they deserve more than a picture of empty shelves :)

In the world of Yelp.... If a place has an average of 4.6 stars all while steadily approaching almost 500 reviews...You know that establishment it's legit! Just know that they worked very hard to not only earn those stars, but to maintain that nearly 5 star rating which is damn near impossible to keep. Nowadays, everyone is so critical, everyone is so hard to please. One small thing goes wrong; their whole experience is tarnished. But for me...As a Yelp Elite of 7 years straight, I've come to really appreciate the mom & pop businesses out there and it gives me nothing, but pure pleasure to be able to write a positive, uplifting review that highlights everything they are doing right. My ability to rate a business, a café, or a small restaurant; especially a small mom and pop eatery and give them every single star they deserve is what I live for as a Yelp Elite. ------------------------------With that being said...Historia Bakery & Cafe aka HB in Thousand Oaks is one of those hidden gems that deserves a little spotlighting. (Although looking at their star rating, they are doing just fine on their own) thus why they deserve yet another 5 star review! On November 20th 2023 the week of Thanksgiving, I had the day off, so it was the perfect reason to take the wife out to breakfast while the kiddos were in school. Sandwiched between Wescom Credit Union (which just happens to be my bank) and The Habit Burger Grill (which makes one mean Charbroiled burger)...Historia Bakery & Cafe serves up one a hell of a breakfast, a slew of satisfying-looking pastries and a few specialty lattes that will make you delete your Starbucks app forever! On the morning we went, a few people were already enjoying breakfast on the patio out front, as well as a few people in line ahead of us getting their morning coffee and pastry to go. For us, we were in no rush at all so we decided to have a nice, peaceful breakfast and absorb a little sunshine at one of their tables out front while we ate. As you can see from my picture attached to this review, we both went with their Croissant Breakfast sandwich (one with ham and one with sausage) as sadly, they were fresh out of bacon. (Sad face)...it's ok, next time!! Now, Let's talk about that croissant... OH. THAT. CROISSANT! Let's just say Historia Bakery & Cafe made the People of Paris... the People of France Proud!! Perfectly flaky, beautifully buttery, and boy did it just glisten in the sun.Paired with an egg, ooey gooey melted cheese, and a breakfast meat of your choosing; this breakfast will definitely start your morning off with a smile. We each got one of their specialty lattes, 1 raspberry rose latte & 1 blueberry lavender latte and they were the perfect compliment to our meal. While finishing up eating, the lady who helped us inside came by to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything else. To Historia Bakery & Cafe...A+ on the food, your hospitality and the wonderful service during our visit; here's to a successful 2024 ahead!

Very cute shop with great pastries and good coffee. The latte I got was okay, not the best I've ever had but it was okay. The multiple pastries we tried were good as well. You can tell that they put a lot of thought and effort into their baked goods. The service was okay. Worth a try!

They serve the coffee a little bit too hot, but I admit it tastes good.

The pastries here are heavenly. The croissants are flaky and buttery, and the chocolate eclairs are pure indulgence.

I have been reading post on this new little bakery. I met my girlfriend there for lunch. My first choice was chicken salad. The owner told me that she had just made tuna salad and that I should give it a try. I requested wheat bread which they do not offer. She recommended a pretzel croissant. This was way out of my comfort zone and what I was used to ordering. I decided to try it since she was very positive on the choice. Ok, to say this sandwich was delicious is an understatement. This was the best tuna salad sandwich I have ever eaten!! The pretzel croissant complimented the tuna salad perfect. I was so happy that this will be my go to the next time I visit. Highly highly recommend the tuna salad on a pretzel croissant. And the service was so homey and personable. I was impressed and see why there are so many positive reviews.
