“Had a great time here this past winter. The rain kept the crowds away and we were able to get a window table inside. Food was solid. We tried a bit of everything - raw oysters, grilled oysters, mussels, and a grilled cod. Some of the grilled oysters were just okay. But we had to get another round of raw oysters to end our meal because they were excellent. Service was speedy and nice, too.”

“A tiny gem of a restaurant tucked away in Bodega Bay. Our very pleasant hostess Julia was cognizant of our dietary needs and offered excellent entree alternatives. Their bread pudding is to die for. Turned out to be a very pleasant, albeit impromptu Easter experience for us.”

“Omg! We just had the best dinner date ever! So refreshing! The place is welcoming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the wine is delicious and the menu is mindfully crafted! For the vegetarians and vegans out there, get ready to be blown away by fresh ingredientes and delicious recipes! The French lentil soup was the best soup I've ever had in my life! The lasagna bolognese omg!! The baguette! Don't even think twice! The whole ordering ahead was really cool too! Just come to n in and have an experience for yourself! Just wow!”

“Very genuinely friendly staff here. fresh oysters (just daily didn't have any other option when we went) really liked the grilled oysters and prawns. the menu isn't extensive like the ones in SF ferry bldg or Napa (oxbow) and it's pricey so we left a little hungry even after ordering bread too. i don't know if there's much for little kids to eat except for charcuterie board maybe? i also felt like the glass of wine we ordered seemed a lot less pour compared to other tables but it wasn't in a wine glass so it's hard to tell. parking isn't the easiest but we went relatively early just before noon on a nice sunny sunday, so overall, it's a nice drive to get here so all worked out at the end.”

“This place is a hidden gem! Everything we have tried has been delicious! The people who work there are so nice and lovely to talk to despite the place being super busy on the weekend. Every time we are around that area we stop at wild flour.”

“So happy to see this Cafe open and under new owners. Outstanding fresh selection of pastries and espresso drinks. Very nice people too. Great location on Hwy 1, just north of the busy town of Bodega Bay before you get to the campground. I'll be back with my cycling buddies often. (Hrs: 8:30-2:30, Tuesday through Sunday). Check out their Beehive Danish. I'm getting that next time.”

“Love the vibe here. This is my first time back in Sebastopol in 17 years, and the hodgepodge art vibe reminds me of old Sebastopol much more than downtown. Good to see the humble old spirit of the city still lives in a few places around town.They have a wide and eclectic variety of teas (including loose leaf). They also have display cases of various raw crystals (not the polished ones like in most stores downtown), all of which are for sale. My soy latte was great too”

“If you want a good baked treat Roadhouse Coffee Bodega Bay is the place . Make sure you come in early for your treat because these things fly off the shelf super fast . The only issue is it's not always open when the sign says . Roadhouse Coffee is most definitely well worth making the trip to get a decent cup of coffee and an amazing baked goodie .”

“We brought our dog and sat outside on the pier. We had great service amazing raw oysters chowder and homemade soft buttery bread, so good! It was quite a drive but the scenery along the way was pretty and we enjoyed the drive. They have an inn across the street, perhaps we'll stay next time.”

“Came in for a bowl of clam chowder and was not disappointed. There was a line and sorta busy but it was a quick line, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Friendly staff and easy parking.”

“I haven't been here in years...and this time I've brought my kids! A very nice & patient man helped us with our ice cream order. We tried the peanut butter chocolate, mint chocolate chip, cookies'n'cream, & chocolate. ALL of it was still delicious & refreshing (good sized scoops too)! There's a good group of outdoor tables to sit at. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.”

“I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and this was a home run. The Hitchcock wink just gilds this very pleasant spot. The Birds sits right off the water with multiple levels of scenic, outdoor seating wrapped around the little kitchen where you order and pick up. Pass the single stall bathroom, and you'll find an adjacent building set up as a coffee shop. The menu is simple, but effective. Fish Tacos: Loved them. The fish has a light, crisp batter. They're served with shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and an avocado sauce on top. Two hearty tacos to an order and so good. Artichoke Fritters: I know this is county fair food, but I loved these. I thought they might be heavy, but they were actually pretty crunchy, frilly, and delicate. They're good with the ranch on the side and a little hot sauce. The portion is honestly giant which is fun. I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them again that night!”

“Really nice people working here. We were so happy to find something that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly during a weekend where rain was heavy and often. Parking is limited and lotsa tourists around. Park at the cute country store and buy a soda and then go over to Estero. Great menu, lots of little creative dishes and the service was so nice and friendly and sweet. Well run, deliciously satisfying food, cooked well, and lots of crab based specials that looked awesome. On a quiet part of Highway 1, go here and be impressed and well taken care of. Thanks for the delicious coffee and food!”

“We've been excited to try Huria's pizza for a while now and finally got the chance this weekend while visiting the area. The pizza was delicious, but I have to say it's the chocolate cake I will be dreaming about! That was maybe the best piece of cake I've ever had! Hurrah to the Huria family! “Yes, I LOVE CRAB! But I am writing because of the Garlic Sourdough Battard We stumbled upon The Marshall Store because my son took us to Point Reyes Lighthouse. YES! The Marshall Store is in the prestigious But the Garlic Sourdough Battard should be given as Sacramental bread to the Pope for Mass. We eat bread! My parent are from Argentina and bread goes with dinner with wine like in the catholic Church My mom makes her own bread which we LOVE For my parents to be impressed with any bread is baffling. I love this bread so much that I drive 4 hours for it. Just yesterday I defrosted an entire Battard that I had in the freezer since Christmas where I picked up 10 loaves to share at the dinner party I was hosting. It was like sitting at The Marshall Store having it fresh out of the oven. RUN to The Marshall Store I love @the.marshall.store I love @routeonebakeryandkitchen & @gregoryshannon is a gentleman and a scholar, Rich in Love, Compassion, humbleness and especially The art of bread baking; balance of ingredients, science, patience and artisanal skills. Roger, Carolyn, daughter Taylor and son in law Fabio always cook/serve amazing food and are very welcoming and accommodating to us. The rib eye steak is the BEST we’ve had in Sonoma County!”

“Gem of Bodega bay!! This restaurant was very delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious including the torta, tacos and burrito. The family that owned the restaurant were all very kind and did a great job answering all our questions since it was our first time. The location is great, the restaurant is decorated very cute. They had great music playing and the kiddos were able to be kids and enjoy themselves.”

“Saw good reviews about the boat house and stopped by here on our road trip down Highway1. They did not disappoint! Staff were attentive and ordering was fast. Their calamari and grilled oysters were the best! Who would have known grilling oysters with ketchup would taste divine? The crab cake sandwich was juicy and tasty. We had to order a small bowl of clam chowder because the reviewers recommended it and it was also good. If you are driving on Highway 1, please make sure to drop by. You will need good food to enjoy the wonderful view”

“Great little caual seafood spot right on the harbor of Bodega Bay! Ginochios was exactly what I was expecting it to be with a no frills atmosphere serving up tasty food in a beautiful location. This place is certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. Service: We were greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter when we entered. She made some light banter and explained what they were out of, but nothing really worth mentioning here. We went right at 11am when they transition from breakfast to lunch and they let us order from either menu. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer which notifies you when your food is ready to pick up. Food: The high point of the experience! I ordered the Crab Sandwich and a side of fries and it was all pretty well above average. The sandwich was toasted on the outside with a nice crunch, while the crab inside was creamy, with great crab flavor and a hint of citrus. Not sure how they make it but it seemed to be their specialty and I would recommend it. Nothing too special about the fries but they were nicely seasoned with a good crisp. In general the prices are a little high for the style of food they are making, but I would say my meal was worth the money. Note, I went with 3 other people and they got Fried Egg Sando, Bacon Burrito, and Fish Tacos. None of them were too happy with their food, so I think your experience may vary depending on what you order. Do yourself a favor and order the Crab Sandwich. Ambiance: Again, nothing special here, but there are a variety of seating options depending on the weather and your preferences. When we visited it was a sunny day without much wind, so we sat on some benches in front of the restaurant. There is also indoor seating as well as outdoor seating within a courtyard which is protected by walls and windows in case it is windy.”

“We love this spot in Valley Ford. Really good food and really nice folks taking care of you. It gets crowded here but worth any inconvenience it might cause. I've always been able to get a table with a group or a couple of spots at the bar without a lot of wait times. Oysters are great here of course but lots of other things that I have found all to be very tasty. Usual Sonoma county prices. We always go back.”
