“We came here very earlier and it was just open. We never tried this before, the owner is very friendly and introduced everything to us. We tried the intestine combo, and we very recommend the combination of abomasum, mountain chain and large intestine. The texture of abomasum and mountain chain are very chewy, and combine with the large intestine, it is very oily smooth. It is definitely worth a try!”
“One of the best smoothie places in the South Bay! Way better than some of the other chains like Robek’s and Nekter Juice bar. If I’m going to pay $10 for a smoothie, it better be a good one. I usually get the Pink Dragon.”
“This is by far the best all you can eat AYCE Kbbq restaurant in Torrance. The staff were incredibly attentive and A++ for the cleanliness of the restaurant. 😊 I really like that most of the common cookable meats are out on the salad bar as well as vegetables, appetizers, all the sauces, fruits 🤤 all readily available to everyone - so you can easily get more. 😉 I highly recommend trying the beef belly, beef rib finger and marinated short ribs each cut was tender and flavorful. The cheesecorn, shrimp tempura, tofu soup and baked mussels were delicious side options and cooked to perfection. 😊💯”

“Honestly it felt like Korea - clean, modern, everything delicious. Really good portions, too! We got the mille feuille beef thing and it was really fun and the dipping sauce was delicious! Dolsot bibimbap came in a low, wide stone pot providing a lot of surface area to make crispy rice and keep it warm. Banchan was good! Kiddo crushed the fish cakes and japchae which are usually bland and left aside. Will come back!

“I took a friend to eat sushi for the first time that did 35 years in prison. The shishito peppers are addicting and to die for. We ordered 3 different rolls and everything was amazing. The sake was hot and delicious...service was great and attentive. I love this place! I've been like 5 times before and would say it's one of my favorite sushi spots in LA with great prices! JUST GO HERE! you won't be disappointed.
Kid-friendliness: There was a child in there and she had toys and was not disturbing at all....gave it a great family friendly vibe.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can ROLL up on in their as easy as they ROLL the sushi lol”
“Tiny restaurant, but the food they serve were delicious, above average. Not a fine dining place so I didn't expect much service. Treat it as a fast food high quality beef don place, then you will truly enjoy it. Yeah, a bit pricey, but the beef quality matches the price. Must go early, we arrived at 5:15pm, left with just one table and three counter seats. By the time we finished, there was a line already outside of the restaurant.”
Outdoor Dining
“I love mom and pop joints like this. The omakase, which was reasonably priced, was an amazing experience. Each offering was prepared masterfully.
This unassuming restaurant is located at the corner of a petite shopping plaza, so parking shouldn’t be too difficult. It’s best to make a reservation well in advance.”

“Sei-Ko-En is a Japanese yakiniku restaurant in Torrance, Los Angeles. The restaurant is simply decorated with promotional menus and posters. Ventilation is not the strongest, so expect to be smelly after the meal. Servers are friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Food is reasonably priced and of good quality. The crunchy Bean Sprouts (USD 8) and Minced Raw Beef (USD 12.50) are both refreshing. Highly recommend the silky-smooth Raw Beef Liver (USD 12.50), which will rock your palate! Don’t forget to order the Mega Mug Sapporo Premium Beer (USD 12) to go with the juicy Kobe Style American Wagyu Prime Rib (USD 22) and flavorful Kobe Style American Wagyu Tongue (USD 22)!”

“A unique, traditional Japanese steakhouse. We tried the omakase wagyu steak and miso yaki butterfish with sashimi, kabocha soup, jidori chicken, creme brulee and crepe cake. Every bite was to die for and magical. Best wagyu steak and butterfish I've had. Madai kobujime was delicious.
The service was amazing, warm and friendly.
The chef visited us.
The ambience is classy, yet cozy.
Looking forward to bringing the family in.

Takeout Restaurants
“What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. To top it off, it’s family run and they are all the sweetest and most warm people I’ve encountered at any local restaurant. If you haven’t tried them yet, you need to stop by.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“it was yakitori and izakaya place. it was sooo nice and good. it's pricey though, but that's what fine dining is right..!? so i think it is pretty good, to come with famz or colleagues 😃👍🥰”
“I can’t say enough good things about Tendon Tempura Carlos Jr.! I always go for the tendon combo, and it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had. The small bowl with soba is just perfect—it’s delicious and satisfying without being too heavy. The original location in Torrance has such a great vibe, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Every visit feels like a wonderful experience. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! Highly recommend!”
“Yamaya Japanese Wagyu & Grill is a Japanese yakiniku specialist in the Torrance area. Ventilation is not bad, but expect to get smelly. The dimly lit dining room is clean and tidy. Servers are friendly, professional and accommodating. Corkage is US$ 25/btl. Food is fresh and of great quality. While side dishes such as Moyashi Namui (US$4.8) and Green Salad ($5.8) are refreshing, the different cuts of wagyu are simply delicious! Highly recommend the crunchy Chef’s Cut Tongue (US$42.8), the juicy Premium Short Ribs (US$ 34.8) and Outside Skirt (US$ 29.8).”

“No waiting and excellent service. My friend and I had the Salmon Miso. which she found it to be delicious. I have had it several times and always enjoyed the dish. the restaurant is highly recommended”
“Good taste noodle, great customer service! interesting old Torrance neighborhood.”
“Wow ! Just wow ! This spot has theeeeeeeee most delicious bibimbap ever ! I'm sure other menu items are even more delicious but omg! The service is super fast and friendly as well and I love the aesthetic in here so much!”
“They offer a wide variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Chinese cuisine to creative Western cuisine, and there are many surprising combinations. In addition, the restaurant pays attention to the selection of raw materials and the innovation of cooking techniques to ensure that each dish can bring you the most extreme taste experience”
“Fantastic service! They made us a menu item that is no longer available and it was delicious. The servers were so friendly and quick. My husband and I will definitely be back.”
“The staff is very friendly, especially the person who speaks Spanish. He is very attentive.😍🥰👏🍚🍤🥢🥩🍗🥙
The staff is very friendly, plus the person who speaks Spanish is very attentive.”
“Upscale Japanese restaurant that serves delicious sushi of very high quality and freshness. If your not a fan of sushi, then the beef and chicken dishes are outstanding also. More expensive than other places but it is worth the expense once in a while to treat yourself to a great meal.”
“This place is great it you come at the right time. They open and close on random days..
Recommended dishes:
- Mixed baby scallop and shrimp tempura bowl
-Black pork cutlet with starchy egg bowl
-Hamburg steak w/ demi glace sauce combo
-Fried Oysters
The meal set comes with miso soup and pickled
veggies.”
“Bazille is an in-house restaurant inside of Nordstrom. It's located on the second level of the store in the women's lingerie section (which is a little odd). The menu selection is superb as well as their craft cocktails. I recommend the flank steak which is served with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The homemade rolls are delicious! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options.”
“Tremendous, upbeat staff. Very welcoming. Great variety of food and drink. Great vibe”
“Hands down some of the best sashimi we have ever had. Amazing Sake selection too. The owner Mark is a great guy. Ask him how he gets the freshest sashimi & you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!”
“Great experience. Gives that local vibe that I love. Great selection of beers and food with multiple TVs for your viewing pleasure. Our server was great as well. I believe her name is Ashley. She had a friendly personality and I can see myself coming in asking for her next time.”
“Great food - Great service! I came here 2 times in a week, each time greeted like a long time patron! The people are friendly, kind and attentive! The food was great each time with fresh ingredients and the salsa is awesome. Also, honest people, who kept my son’s jacket for several days after he forgot it at our last visit.”
“My first review! My visit here last night was nothing short of a revelation in the art of sushi dining. Celebrating its 17th year, this gem of a restaurant has not just stood the test of time; it has set the bar for what authentic Japanese cuisine can embody. Though it is not your modern izakaya nor fine-dining luxury, it firmly facets itself as the "OG" restaurant in the diverse Japanese dining scene. Immediately upon entering, I observed details of its classic entity by old decos of art, calligraphy, signs, photos, and handwritten notes. It was an ambiance that exuded warmth. I immediately felt the history and dedication woven into the fabric of this place. The owners have crafted not merely a restaurant but a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer nuances of Japanese culture and cuisine. I opted for the sushi combo course. Each piece of sushi was a testament to the chef's mastery over his craft, with every ingredient shining through in a delicate balance of flavors and textures with a properly curated course. All the nigiri boasted freshness in a blend of tastes that was above satisfactory by the plate. But what truly sets Sushi Anza apart is the heart and soul poured into every aspect of the dining experience. From the attentive, yet unobtrusive service to the meticulous presentation of the dishes, you can feel the love and dedication that the owners have for their craft. It's this personal touch combined with an "aged" ambience that transforms a meal into an experience. In a world where the genuine essence of Japanese cuisine can sometimes be lost amidst fusion and innovation, Sushi Anza stands as a beacon of tradition and quality. Overall, my first visit here was a nostalgic journey through the very essence of Japanese tradition, guided by the hands of those who know and respect it the most. I cannot recommend Sushi Anza enough and look forward to many more visits. I hope to regain the same authentic warmth, excellence, and quality that hallmarks the culinary gems of Torrance.”
“Last minute dinner decision for a Saturday night
Went around 630ish it was packed but we didn’t wait very long
However one of the waitress asked if we made a reservation we did not she did first come off rude but later service was very nice
The two gentleman by the bar greeted upon entering
Food was very tasty but they forgot the starter soup and rice for the course meal
It was plenty as we order each course meal Chicken and the Beef
We also got a pitcher of their draft Ahsai
Overall experience was great we would definitely come back”
“The food was great. We just felt rushed because we didn't know there would be a time limit in our dining experience. But overall it was nice. The prices were reasonable. Thank you”
“Had an incredible dining experience at North Italia in Del Amo! The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The Italian Farm Salad was fresh and full of flavor, a perfect balance of textures. To top it all off, the Affogato was simply amazing, a must-try dessert that left us wanting more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal with top-notch service!”
“Old-school japanese hole in the wall interior, very simple and straight forward. Servers are nice and let you take your time. Might need a little effort to get their attention sometimes but it's a small inconvenience for the quality of food.”
“The taste was excellent, and they gave big portions for the price. We got hibachi off the lunch menu and ended up with leftovers. They also threw in some free egg rolls, which were also really good. It seems like they mix all their own sauces, too.The only problem was a language barrier with the cashier, so they must not be used to taking orders verbally. Oh, and the salad is literally just roughly chopped iceberg lettuce with dressing on the side. There is no space to sit down and eat, so this place is take-out only basically.”
“Stopped there with 5 others for my birthday and they sat us pretty much right away. Server Maryfel was very nice and attentive. Appetizers, food and desserts were excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely would stop in again.”
“The best Frida Mexican Cuisine location for sure, have been coming here for years everything has always been delicious and the service is always great! Only downside for me was the tres leches cake, usually it is very delicious but yesterday was disappointing. It was a bit on the dry side and it had the taste of refrigeration, not sure if it doesn't sell much but from the taste you could tell that either it was a couple of days old or it was not covered and the refrigerator smell over powered it. Maybe won't try it again”
“Still great after all these years A nice variety of meat selections and super tasty.”
“I always like their food even though I am not fan of pasta and carbs in general, but they have really anti-pasta dishes as well. I love the portions, the size of a dish you get for your money. I rated them poorly on the atmosphere because I think is too many tables at that restaurant. Overall is a great option.”
“Love the place, love the people, love the beer. Great place to get away on a hot day for a few hours with the family and watch LA Galaxy games!
Fixed review to 5! Fat fingered the star selection! My apologies”
“Amazing food and service, went to Japan recently and this sushi takes us back there.
Parking is easy,
No wait at all.
Expensive but quality easily worth it!”
“The girl with the blond hair was so nice she made want to keep coming back to this location. I recommend this location and the smoothies and açaí bowls are delicious.”
“Absolutely love this place. The rolls are delicious and the ramen always hits the spot. My favorite sushi spot in the South Bay. The man and woman that run the place are so kind.”
“Great place for Korean pub food and drinks. Amazing staff, indoor and outdoor sitting. Nothing in South Bay, CA resembles the K pubs in Corea or KTown, LA like 3355. You would have to go 88 Pocha in Gardena, CA. Enough said. Check it out.”
“I dropped by in the morning and pretty sure they were closed, but Santos was nice enough to hook me up with some beers anyway. Cannot wait to try out these unique drafts.”
“Beer has a good selection, liked their (hazy) IPAs. Service was nice and lively atmosphere - good for big groups and had outside heaters to sit outside (less noisy). They have food options but overpriced 100% and not that good - would come here just for drinks!
Visited 1/2024”
“Just wanted to give a shout out to Dylan and Khalid who we’re very exceptional and helping me out customer service wise as well as Priscilla they were really on point. They really helped me out with everything that I needed and I gave them a five stars because they made my experience that much more enjoyable and I like the fact that they recommended different lemonades and different flavors and this is the spot to go to for the best lemonades and the best drinks by far”
“Excellent store for supplements and health food. Very wide selection of products.”
“Delicious!! This restaurant feels very authentic) the vibe and service are wonderful and the food is beautiful and delicious!! They have parking, great atmosphere and clean spacious bathrooms) they have a bar with a big espresso maker too. Also there is large mission thrif store w very unique items, right next to them incase you need to kill some time before they open for dinner.”
“We always have such a wonderful time here. They have incredible food, fantastic service. The staff are always very friendly, helpful, and kind. We look forward to our next visit soon. Thanks”
“This place is delicious! We had the omu-rice with beef/potato croquette and chicken nanban don.The omu-rice was amazing and decadent. The ultimate comfort food. I loved the rich but not too heavy demi glace sauce paired with the tomato ketchup rice that gave it a hint of acidity and brightness. The chicken nanban don was phenomenal. The chicken was fried to perfection and one of the juiciest chickens I've ever had.”
“I knew I wanted to try different things so I asked for a table for 4 even though there were only 2 of us and they were very accommodating. The food was amazing and the service was great. I would definitely go again.”
“I’m and all my family, lots of my friends are regular customers from the first day this place was open in early 2000.. This is the only place I trust and eat raw fish. Gina, managing this restaurant all these years. She knows every one names, food preferences and always treats us very very friendly!
If you want sushi, this is a right place to go to.”
“This really hit the spot when I was looking for good Italian. The zucchini fritti were perfectly cooked so they weren't too soggy or too raw. The Cannelloni was bold, savory, served bubbling hot and very filling. Service was kind and attentive, and the atmosphere reminded me of my favorite Italian place back home. I would absolutely go again.”
“First time here had the lasagna and it was delicious and so was the bread that comes with it”
“My experience was very good and the food was delicious. I would defiently eat there again.”
“Hidden jem for lunch specials, I recommend getting one of their take out lunch combos, chicken or salmon teriyaki and tempura combo is my go-to. Comes with the main choice, sticky rice, various tempura vegetables and two tempura shrimp, tempura dipping sauce, miso soup, and a side salad, all for like $13, and it's very fresh and delicious! Closed Mondays though.”
“Spaghetti carbonara here is soooo dang good. Very friendly people to play darts and sing karaoke with. Remember to book a time in advance because the rooms fill up fast.”
“Good spot for lunch. Bartender Zach is good guy. Burgers tasty and nice pretzel. Used to have great fish and chips, best in Torrance, but for some strange reason they pulled their best menu item, so they are just serving pub food now.”
“Delicious food, unbeatable prices and wonderful services! The restaurant is #1 hot pot place in LA!👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹Excellent Servers Wendy, Jojo, Lina, Charlie, Phoebe and Joyce!”
“The server was so Great. He is so respectful, attentive and helpful. He gives suggestions of what I will order being my first time in Wadatsumi. Thank you very much for the Awesome service.😊 I'll definitely come back with my friends.💯”
“The Best Buffet in the area! ? Rotation is on time so everything is Hot! Waiters are very kind and go beyond their duty to take care of you & your family. I advice to please bring cash for their Tip ?
Kid-friendliness: They have lots of Pizza ? & dessert ? for kids”
“Starbucks coffee sold here. I grabbed a ready to go sausage breakfast burrito and salsa. The burrito is the same as what is served at Cafe Camino. I'd prefer no peppers but I don't believe they actually make the burritos there. I didn't ask though so... The taste of the burrito was okay but for $7.99 it's kind of small. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the price but the employees were very nice.”
“Came to the hotel in a pool pass (no outside food allowed). In other places we've found the hotel food to be edible, but not great. We were pleasantly surprised...the sandwiches were better than we expected. Got the Madrona Burger and the BLAT - both reportedly very nice (with a side comment on the bacon - thicker and crispy edges). I opted for the portobello-poblano sandwich and liked it very much.
Sandwiches of a reasonable size and all came with fries.
The order took a bit longer than we expected, but wasn't bad. In the to-go-back-to-the-pool bag was utensils and ket/must/mayo.”
“I've never beeb to its just wings but I do go to the chili's. This location is the reason why I love chili's. Very fast and friendly customer services here!”
“Went for dinner this past Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. They’ve changed owners and all the reviews I found were for the old restaurant. The waitress was very nice and the food was very good. We got shrimp and pork XLB, the skin was very thin and the dumplings were huge, but not much soup because each dumpling had a good sized shrimp. We will be re-ordering on our next visit. Also got their cold chicken in hot oil - misnomer as it wasn’t in hot oil but instead a peanut or sesame sauce. We also ordered the sheperd’s purse seafood soup and a Wuxi pork ribs. Our favorite was the shrimp XLB. I took my parents and they enjoyed it so much, they came home with a menu.”
“Good place for tteokbokki
Service was a bit slow. Only customer there and it probably shouldn't take THAT long to cook it.
Food itself was good, not over or under done, right amount of spice. Larger portion size than I typically get”
“Went for Easter lunch and it was fabulous.”
