I came down to Turlock for three things, ...#1 eat at Memo's Cocina & Tequila Bar, go the great Tumbleweed Festival and then see Old Cast Iron Tilly about about the 100 year old Plancha she's selling, the damn thing weighs about 300 pounds and it's a good thing she can lift it too, and she did...right into the back of my truck, by herself! Went to Memo's for first time and we were thoroughly impressed with everything about this place. The menu had a variety of items and some I've never seen at other Mexican restaurants. The service was fast and efficient and we even got our food in what seemed like 5 minutes! I ordered the steak arrachera and it was crazy good! We tried this place out on a whim and were pleased with the food. We both got the burrito special for the night. It was asada, chorizo, bacon, rice, beans, onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños, with a hot sauce on the side. Absolutely delicious and HUGE! The service was quick, and the staff amazing. It was a little loud because it was busy, but that's not an issue, just means it was a successful night for the business. We will be going back to try more from their menu for sure.
