Came here with my friends because we were craving japanese curry. We got seated right away when we arrived. The menu is simple, you have an option to pick a base which was rice or udon and a protein. We all decided to get the katsu chicken with curry. 3.5/5 Chicken Katsu Curry. The curry was great and not too thick, not too runny. It was very flavorful and paired well with the radish. The chicken was very crispy, however it was very thin. There was a good amount of breading on the outside. Each dish came with 3 pieces of chicken. There was plenty for another meal. Overall the staff was friendly and attentive. The price was affordable for the amount of food you get! Would definitely come back if you're craving Japanese style curry.

Been coming here for over a year now. Curry do is personally the go to Japanese curry I go to. Their serving is well portioned. I always have the pork belly with rice. Staff are super nice. Special thanks to Nori! I'd have to say though that they can probably reduce the amount of rice and increase the amount of meat. The place is very clean and my friends enjoys some of the anime music they play. 5/5 for me.

Flavorful curry and the portions are pretty decent. The restaurant is a bit smaller of you have infants, but we also did the take out and the service was great. I only have good things to share about my experience here.

My bestie and I came here for an early lunch. There was maybe one or two other parties inside the restaurant. EXPERIENCE: The plaza is kinda small and was rly packed when we went. We got seated right away and then scanned a QR code for the menu. SERVICE: Our waitress was attentive and friendly! It was easy to flag down her down to order and our food came out relatively quick. FOOD: we each ordered the chicken katsu curry, but I got udon and my bestie got rice. I'd recommend the udon over the rice, but idk if they waited to bring out both dishes at the same time or not bc my bestie's rice dish wasn't that hot :( and we both prefer our food to be piping hot. The flavor of the curry was good tho! And the chicken katsu was cooked well. PRICE: The chicken katsu was $14.50 so I definitely think is an affordable curry spot! And udon and rice cost the same :) Overall, if you're craving curry in Tustin/irvine but don't wanna go to Diamond jamboree for coco ichibanya, I'd definitely recommend trying this spot!

I was craving curry and decided to check out Curry Do for a quick meal. It's a small shop that's kept clean and the workers are quick and friendly. The chicken katsu was crispy and the breading was well seasoned, and the thin slices of beef belly were fatty and tender. I preferred the chicken katsu with the rice over the beef, but I could see the beef belly going well with udon noodles if you choose that option instead! The cheese was okay but doesn't add much overall. They also give you a small side of cayenne pepper if you want to add spice at whatever level. The menu is pretty short and straightforward, and the food itself was good but nothing crazy for curry. I feel like there could have been a little more depth in flavor, but at the same time it felt a little heavy as I kept eating. One of the best parts of the meal was the portion size! There was definitely enough to get full and still have leftovers. Overall: quick, casual, easy if you're looking for curry.

Pretty good; A bit pricey but honestly fair due to the big portions. Will be coming back in the future :)

tried this place one night when i was craving curry and it was pretty good! a comfort spot if u want smthn simple and straightforward. they have the option for rice or udon and then u choose ur meats from there. the portions r pretty generous too hehe my bf got the beef belly w a fried egg and i got the katsu chicken w cheese~ katsu chicken rice 8/10: the chicken was super crispy and flavorful! the pieces are cut small but they actually give u a pretty big portion of chicken. the curry is on the sweeter and more runnier side and the flavor is lighter than other places. this could b good or meh based on ur preference. tbh i enjoyed it bc it worked well w the chicken and i love the cheese!! i also like the chili powder they add to the side and it rly enhanced the dish

This is a comfort curry spot for us. Their curry has a great taste and even a touch of sweet which we like. With their spicy powder it's even better. The katsu and other meats are solid, but not amazing as it's not a katsu place, but I think the curry makes up for it. The staff and owner here have also always been nice and accommodating.

Curry Do is a solid curry-katsu place. I got the curry with chicken katsu over rice, and added cheese. The curry is extremely flavorful and isn't too salty. The chicken katsu also hit the spot, as it has a perfect balance of crunch and juiciness. The breading wasn't too thick, and the chicken was far from dry. They also provide a small dish of seasoning to provide a kick of spice for your liking. Curry Do kept things simple and it is what truly made it tasty. The menu is accessed through scanning a QR code, laminated to the table. After viewing the menu, the waitress came around to take our order and almost within a few minutes, our food was served. The quick and attentive service is a big plus, as they will always be there to refill your water cup! The restaurant has a very chill vibe, despite it being nearly empty beyond a few other customers being served on a Monday evening. I would say that the price was pretty normal given the inflation amongst food nowadays but I definitely thought it was worth it for the ample portion size they served. I was beyond full after all is said and done. Altogether, I would rate Curry Do a solid 4.1/5, rounding to 4/5.

Delicious curry! I wanted to try Curry Do for months- the reviews were good. I also appreciate restaurants that do a small menu well. We wanted to try everything at the restaurant, right out of the kitchen, to get the full experience. I'm glad we did and I recommend doing so if you can. I had the pork belly and tempura shrimp with rice. It was a nice large portion. The server was kind to confirm I wanted a second protein as half /half instead of an "add-on". That would have been wayyy too much for me but perfect if you like your meats. We were delighted- the flavors and methods were perfect. The curry is on the sweet side which we enjoyed. You can taste the homemade love and you will be craving it again within days. We will be definitely be back!

LOVE this spot. I've been looking for another spot besides coco ichibanya and this is IT. Katsu is flaky and crispy, not too heavy on the breading and that's what I'm looking for in a good katsu curry. Very good Japanese curry flavor and a good enough portion to cover the noodles. Seating: indoor and outdoor cafeteria Parking: free lot Wifi: unsure Payment: cashless preferred Dress code: casual Vibe: to go food spot

Curry Do is extra comforting and delicious on a cold or rainy day! We've visited a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Service is attentive and friendly, and the ambiance is casual and relaxed but still clean and a nice aesthetic. Beef belly: very tender and flavorful! Pork belly: slightly charred, fatty, and absolutely delicious. Curry flavor is a nice and mild Japanese curry, but Curry Do also provides chili powder so that you can customize the curry's spice/heat level to your taste. Udon is well prepared with a slightly chewy texture, and an excellent vehicle for consuming delicious curry. I also love that Curry Do includes generous amounts of the fukujinzuke (picked daikon) as a side for each curry dish. It provides a nice contrast of freshness, texture, and a bit of sweet and savory flavor to complement the curry, protein, and carbs. We also got side salads, and the dressing was delicious and tangy.

Very good value and staple. Service could definitely be more efficient if they adopt online order placement since they already have QR codes for the menu instead of doing hybrid. Anyway, food is great. Reccomend the chicken katsu but the pork belly is good if you are tolerable with fat and the beef is just typical bulgogi with standard taste.
