A little overpriced compared with similar restaurants. Foid was good but not super delicious. the service was excellent and the place was nice and quiet. Maybe I will come back in the future for drinks and appetizers only.

Ordered off the brunch menu. Flat iron steak breakfast and breakfast sausage burrito. Overall the food needed salt and was bland. Breakfast potatoes were not crispy nor seasoned. The breakfast burrito was almost impossible to eat as a burrito as it was soggy and sloppy. The burrito had no sausage flavor and also needed salt and pepper. I had no flavor of any cheese in it either. I had their rib Benedict last time which was really good but tried to order basic breakfast food this time which was a mistake. Felt like I wasted money when I could have just gone to the local greasy spoon for a better meal at a discount.

The Black Marlin is one of the best spots for oyster lovers in OC! I came here for their Monday all day $1 oyster special. In some $1 oyster restaurants I've been to, prices were cheap but the oysters we received were tiny. That was not the case here! I was surprised by the size and quality of the oysters, and it did not feel like they sacrificed quality for their oyster special. The service was quick and pleasant as well! Just some quick constructive criticism: stinkiest restroom I have ever been in ?. Overall, I would still highly recommend The Black Marlin for some nice oysters.

First visit to this restaurant and the food was great, the service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. The Double Clam Chowder was really good, and I am from New England, so I have had a lot of chowders.

$1 oysters on Monday. Can't beat that.

The food was hit or miss. The soups were delicious. But the main course was a disappointment: one steak was over cooked but the flavor was good, and the sides were plain.. The price does not match the quality and quantity. Service was good and the atmosphere was cool.

Good food and drinks, but the men's bathroom has smelled like sewage for years. Fix it and 5 stars!
