“What a gem! Peeked inside and discovered the sweetest Indonesian bistro! The ambiance was relaxing, the staff were incredibly kind, and everything from the coffee and refreshments to the homemade delicacies, was wonderful.

We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner of Kedai and ended up taking home plenty of desserts along with a delicious tofu plate (this vegetarian was very happy!). You can tell that everything is made with care and love.

“We eat out a lot because we work a lot, therefore we eat out a lot. Yesterday, we attended a baby shower and it was catered by this restaurant, and oh my goodness, it was the BEST tasting, clean, organized caterer for tacos we have experienced. Customer service was excellent! From approximately 40 taco caterers we have experienced this was the BEST!!! Normally, I would not leave a review but this one was worth leaving! We will definitely be visiting there full service restaurant here in Upland soon.”

“We Lotus wanted to try a new place. The place is very clean and quiet.
The server came to take our drink orders. She was very courteous, pleasant and very friendly. She came back with our drink orders.
We ordered from the lunch menu which is very reasonable. The lunch menu has 25 items to pick from. I had the Mongolian beef, fried rice with hot and sour soup, egg roll and won ton. Honey has the lunch pork chop.
Everything was freshly made.
I would go back to try other items.

“Good day, I would like to recognize three Jack teammates; Vanessa, Jennifer, and Jonathan. Vanessa was the one that actually serviced at the drive thur. But it was a team effort. They make a great team! Jennifer handed me my food ... and she did a wonderful job ...refreshing to receive service with a smile. And when I didn't like my drink Jonathan stepped in and made a suggestion...never knew Jack and a Box had unsweetened raspberry Ice T. It was really a great experience. These days good service is hard to find. I hope that Vanessa, Jennifer, and Jonathan are recognized for there teamwork.”

“Sign says open at 12. Went there with my son as a reward for having a good week at school. It was close to 12:30 and the store was all locked up. We waited a couple min thinking maybe they were seeing up inside or something but we saw no one thru the windows so we left. As we were pulling out of the parking lot we saw 2 employees walking up to the store. Not sure if they saw us waiting there or not but their car was parked right behind ours so it seems a little sus. We turned around to go back. Upon entering the 2 employees immediately looked annoyed, no greeting, no interaction of any sorts. Super unprofessional”

“Rustic loaf is my place to get all breads for my family. I don’t buy store bought bread anymore. Many varieties of sour dough, but our favorite is the Pullman loaf.. highly recommend.

“I haven't been able to eat here in years due to my allergies, but when I was younger, I came here every week with my husband. We would always order a 'small' chilli fries, Turkey chilli cheese burgers with an orange bang, always enough to feed ten people generously. Though, I do support this place, I bring my kids but this last visit made me kind of feel different. We went through the driver thru and though I have nothing negative to speak of their food, it was the service, or lack of that got me. This place has always had the hardest workers and they pump out the food, but this last visit made me upset. The woman who works the drive thru took forever to come to the window and when she did, all she did was put out her hand, never greeted us, nor looked our way. She was too involved in her conversation with the three other females she was standing there with. One of them was working, but the rest were just talking, and I'm not gonna lie, this is the first time I've ever experienced this here in the decades long years I've come to this location. She took the card, then eventually she handed it back to my husband, but still never said anything or acknowledged us, never looking our way. She pretty much threw the bags out the window, and all we could do was laugh at how terrible the service was. It was a realization that it's probably better to order inside than it is to deal with her again. Need to get better employees.”

The owner Mario is the coolest guy, and works hard to make pizza that stands alone. This is a small family operation, so stuck up yuppie influencers might not love the location or decor and straightforward presentation, but the food is what matters. You won't find better for the price.”

Usually, I am not up to tip 10-15% for mediocre service, but easily selected the higher tip in a sign of appreciation for their work.

I was the only one that did the AYCE at my table and ate all of the 5 dishes I ordered: House Special Crab, Chicken Wings, Filet Mignon Shaken Beef, House Special Mango Salad, Cajun Cream Cheese Rangoon. Crabs could have had the shells cracked more before cooking/serving, but were still good. Sauce for the wings were saved to use for the rangoon, too. Will definitely be back. From LA, so at least is is far enough not to be coming every few weeks.”

Every Tuesday they do a taco special as well two hardshell ground beef tacos for 599. I know what you’re thinking. Same thing I probably thought too. Some white boy tacos not even close. These are pure authentic the meat definitely marinated for a while. You need to be seasoned to flavor. Have to try.”

Drinks are memorable with Casey or Randy (Owner) slinging the beverages. The bonus is you can bring in your own food. Whether it be a bag of chips or a fancy meal no judgement is there. Service animals are welcome too. Life is normal here and definitely I will be coming back to find a new happy space.”

I usually get the Lox(called Nova) here or try the cream cheese melts on a sesame bagel (my new fav). But their best bagel with just butter is their sourdough. “I almost never leave restaurant reviews, but this place absolutely earned one.

I ordered the chaufa de carne, but swapped the beef for chicken, and WOW. The chicken had this incredible smoky flavor that tasted like it came straight off the grill. The rice was cooked perfectly, and with the chicken and egg, the whole dish was packed with protein without sacrificing flavor.

Now let’s talk about that green salsa… as a Mexican, this is where restaurants usually lose me. 😂 If you’re going to hand me salsa, I expect it to make my mouth tingle, and this one DELIVERED. It actually has a kick! It wasn’t spicy just for the sake of being spicy either—it had amazing flavor. I’ve never had homemade chaufa, but if someone told me this is exactly what authentic homemade tastes like, I’d believe them.

On top of the food, the young man at the register was incredibly polite, welcoming, and knew the menu inside and out. He answered every question confidently and made ordering easy. Great customer service like that deserves recognition.

What really makes the place stand out, though is the crew behind the Meltdown truck. The guys who own and run it are always upbeat, friendly and genuinely care about their customers. Parking: Free parking lot. Finding an open spot is easy.

Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with limited indoor seating. They have couches and ottomans, so it's not your usual tables and chairs. There are a few outdoor seating with tables and chairs. We visited late at night, and it was consistently busy.

Service: There were only two workers. The cashier that assisted us was patient and nice. Throughput was quick and efficient after ordering, despite it being busy.

Drinks: If you've been to Krak Boba, then you'll notice they offer similar drinks. You can adjust the sweetness by a specific percentage. They only offer one size. I ordered the green Thai tea with 75% sweetness, and it was very floral and tasted decent. The fruit tea slushies are refreshing, and the ginger ale was indeed fizzy. My siblings ordered boba with their drinks. They thought the boba was okay; texture was too chewy and lacked the brown sugar taste.
