Your quintessential Filipino Restaurant hole in the wall that which serves hearty portions of traditional dishes. We come here for the breakfast "silogs" . Make sure when before you order to ask about the special of the day. At times, they have Kare Kare, Pork Sinigang, and Chicken Adobo. All come out steaming hot and filled with love. Early morning hours are the most quiet, but by mid- to late-morning for brunch time, it could get loud with crowded tables. Don't forget to Check-in on Yelp to get a free order of 10-piece Shanghai-style lumpia!

The server that day (i think her name is Taylor) did an amazing job she was really polite and greeted me with a warm smile. I think she deserves to be recognized with the professionalism she showed me that day. The only reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the quality of the food and the preparation time took so long. I'm not sure how their system is but it looks like they're prioritizing to-go/doordash orders than customers that are dining in even if we took our orders first than those customers who ordered to-go. I didnt see any sense of urgency from the line cook, she was just slow paced considering that it wasnt such a busy day, it took a while for our orders to be ready. My other issue was I ordered the beef silog, and to my disappointment, it didnt taste like an actual Filipino Tapa at all, it was red, it didnt have that hint of garlic on it as well. Although, everyone has their own versions of tapa, i feel like this one was lacking. It wasnt cut up into small pieces. It was served in huge chunks which i think isnt much of a big deal but it was tough to slice. But overall, I wasn't really satisfied and I hope I can give this place another chance.

If I could give zero starts I would. Came here for breakfast with my family since Black Bear diner was too busy. This place is the most pathetic place I ever stepped foot in. Lets start with the lack of options on the menu and literally no traditional breakfast items. Next this place is ridiculously over priced for what they do offer. Third they had on waitress who took 10 minutes just to serve water. We asked if they could make an omelette considering we had a 16 month old who was hungry and couldn't eat anything else from thier sad menu. The waitress went to ask and we were told " no" cause they were busy. Mind you this is a hole in the wall with only two other occupied tables. In short I paid for the coffee got up and left. Don't waste your time here.

Took a good friend to breakfast here at MOM's, and the service was very good. We ordered the American breakfast and the Loco Moco. The breakfast was decent, and the coffee was good. It's a popular spot, as it got really busy as we dined. Glad I got to try an authentic Filipino Restaurant in the heart of the city.

Kare Kare was on point. My husband loved the loco mock and Shanghai lumpia. The calamansi mimosa was OFF THE CHAINS!! The calamansi juice was like home in the PI. Prices were just right for the large size portions. I highly, highly recommend this place. The people were so sweet. The food ... man. Soooooo delicious.

All I can say is the loco Moco took me back to Kauai, and not a tourist location. A true mom n pops local loco Moco.

WHY WE CAME HERE: - Sunday brunch prior to scoping out Vacaville Premium Outlets for early Christmas shopping - also, October is Filipino American history month, so supporting a Filipino business seemed suiting THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on Merchant St in between Ramos St and Pine St - located in a small plaza in between Lavanderia Ropa and Vacaville U-Save Liquor - limited parking THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - clean and modern - music playing inside was ON POINT if you're into Island Reggae (Collie Budz, J Boog, Kolohe Kai, Maoli, Rebel Souljahz, Sammy Johnson, etc. was definitely playing subtly in the kitchen) - definitely a cross between Tapsilog Bistro in South Bay ( and Bristo Punahele tonnelier in East Bay ( THE MENU: - Filipino "Silogs" - loco mocos - Filipino entrees - kids - other favorites - drinks - cocktails WHAT WE ORDERED: - with our Yelp check-in we got a complimentary order of pork Shanghai lumpia - pupu chicken wings 10 piece - pork tocino silog (SO doesn't like garlic fried rice so he got it with regular steamed Jasmine rice instead and over hard eggs) - fried pork chop loco moco (with garlic fried rice and over medium eggs) - calamansi juice - cantaloupe juice - calamansi mimosa THE TASTE: - the pork Shanghai lumpia was either just well done or fried prior and rewarmed extra crispy and served with Thai chili sauce; standard but not the best - pupu chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside; definitely made to order (aka fresh) and best eaten right away or the wings will be sitting in the soy sauce glaze and too salty - pork tocino silog was great! - fried pork chop loco moco was super heavy - the pork chop was tender and crispy put plain since the gravy was salty (way too salty in my opinion), the garlic fried rice was very garlicy - the calamansi juice and the cantaloupe juice were very refreshing - the calamansi mimosa was presented extremely well; the mini juice pitcher actually gave me "the blood of Christ" vibes (my Catholics will know what I'm talking about HAHA) CUSTOMER SERVICE: - warm and welcoming - a 3.5 star rating overall

Came for brunch on a saturday morning and I can't believe I experienced something like this. I checked yelp before going to see what the 4 star rating is all about. We kinda expected to have a fast service since there are only two tables occupied and it seemed pretty slow. First off, it took the server 10 minutes to offer us with any drinks. After ordering it took about 30-40 minutes just to find out that our food was COLD and the plates have been sitting on the kitchen counter for a while. My boyfriend ordered tapsilog (tapa with egg and garlice rice) and I ordered the bangusilog (milk fish with egg and garlic rice). We asked them to microwave it atleast. The beef tapa was extremely burnt my boyfriend could not even eat it. Bangus was a 7/10. I also asked for vinegar and it took about 5 minutes to serve the vinegar..... As we were about to leave the table, the server then hands the tomato salad... Overall, this has probably been my worst experience eating at a filipino restaurant. The coffee was the only good thing about this place and the employees seemed to be trying. Definitely not coming back again.

Good Filipino food with a little twist. My family and I have been looking for a sit down Filipino restaurant near home and finally found this place. We got there close to closing time and ordered a good amount of food to try. I fell in love with their sinigang, hubs and son loved their chicken adobo, fried chicken and our one year old ate so many lumpia's. Staff were very helpful and nice. New Filipino restaurant to enjoy

I'd give them a solid 3.5 stars. Wish I could rate higher to support local filipino food options! Pro: Food tasted good. Con: Quite pricey: Bangus was $15 for one small milk fish, 2 eggs, and rice. Total came out to $30 for two filipino breakfast dishes to-go. They forgot the side of tomato salad (other reviews claimed as well) which is essential for fish dishes! If you are craving Tosilog and unable to cook it yourself to save quite a bit of money, then this is the place to go in Vacaville!

I had no idea this place had been open for a year now. When I saw that they had Filipino breakfast, I knew I had to give them a try. First off, when I arrived, I was a bit surprised by its location - in between a liquor store and laundromat. It lacks in ambience inside as well - dark interior, very warm temperature-wise, and sticky floors. I had a takeout order I was picking up, and you basically walk up to the counter area for assistance. My food was ready when I arrived, and I only had to wait for them to put ice cream on my halo-halo. We didn't discover until we got home later that they had forgotten to include the tomato salad I requested, which was a bit of a bummer. As for the food, I have my favorite place for Filipino breakfast in Colma/Daly City so any other place has high standards to live up to! But I thought the food here was good (I ordered chicken tocino), though would have been better with vinegar dipping sauce. My dining companion thought the rice was too sticky, but it didn't bother me. Their halo-halo was good and tasted similar to the one I get at my fave Filipino breakfast place, just with what seemed like less toppings. A-ok overall, not bad, and I'm willing to give it another try as I'm interested in trying out some of their happy hour items.

The best Pinoy food in town! Coming here again! Authentic Filipino cooking at its best!

We've visited MOM's Cookery twice and both times w/ different cooks; food remained consistently tasty and well executed. Came twice only for brunch and what our family enjoyed and were stand-outs are their "silogs" (loosely translated "with egg") Filipino Breakfast Combos. Mom ordered their tocino and longanisa silog and she was very much impressed with portion size and flavor. Dad also enjoyed his tortang talong (eggplant/ground pork omelette) over rice, reminded him of good family home cooking. The hubby always picks the loco moco because the burger is made in-house, cooked med-well, w/ precision sunny side-up eggs to top the towering plate lathered w/ gravy. He knows it's Mccormick Brown Mix, but that's fine since that's what we use at home too. The kid loved her grilled cheese and fries side of bacon order as well. I thoroughly enjoyed their bagus (milkfish) silog: crunchy, deep fried perfection w/ flavorful garlic fried rice and loaded eggs (tomato/mushroom/cheese scramble) and a side of onion/tomato pico salad. We also wanted to sample their large pancit which was just like Lola's, sautéed in pork belly, chicken, celery, onions, and carrots. Pupau chicken was ok as was their veggie lumpia; we will pass on next time, ordered both times felt it was underwhelming and oily. This is place is far from cheap compared to the usual Filipino turo-turo steam tables. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait and pay a pretty penny for fine Filipino-Asian-Fusion-Inspired food. Servers are friendly and accommodating. We'll come back for more esp when the parentals are in town. Salamat po.

We were super excited to try out this restaurant because of my love of Filipino food and growing up eating it daily. We moved out here and were in search of our new go-to restaurants. The restaurant is super cute! More aesthetic than your typical turo-turo Filipino restaurant. It's a sit down order and wait for fresh food to hit your table kind of place. It's a good place to introduce people not familiar to Filipino food since it is more Americanized and they offer fusion type cuisine as well. The wait time for the food is pretty long as it seemed like they may have newer people preparing the food? For the amount you pay, the amount of food is a bit on the smaller side. We ordered the bangsilog, lumpia, kare-kare, and halo-halo coming out to about 50 dollars. The Bangus was well-marinated but was on the small side and there were no tomatoes with this dish. The lumpia was pretty average with about 10 small pieces served with a sweet chili sauce. The highlight for me was the kare-kare although it's only beef and not oxtail. Apparently, they only have it on the weekends. The meat was tender and the sauce was creamy and not too thick. It comes with the choice of regular rice and garlic rice and also some bagoong. The halo-halo was so-so. I felt it was missing the Leche flan and other jellies. The customer service was excellent though! So we'll probably come back and try the other dishes but for the Filipino food we tried, it gets a solid 3.5.
