If I had to guess, maybe it's because they get their ingredients from Seafood City and they're missing some key stock ingredients (off the top of my head, some decent star anise and black cardamom would've been nice in this stock)That being said, it's Vallejo, you gotta make do with what you got, and it could be worse. The service was quick, it wasn't too busy, and there are certainly worse places you could go for soup

Reading some of the reviews that left fewer stars because of attitude/service makes me laugh. If you're a true foodie you know that when it comes to a lot of ethnic places, the sweet spot for finding the delicious hole in the wall restaurants are the ones with three stars, because many people will take away from them because of the service, even though the food is Top-tier. I could see that being the case here for sure, although I ordered takeout and the girl at the counter that day was very sweet, so go figure. We ordered beef pho and the vermicelli bowl with beef and shrimp. They were both phenomenal, even as takeout. They packaged each of the garnishes and meat separately from the broth, so that we could put it together ourselves at home, and that made all the difference. We also loved the Boba drinks, the fact that they're a little bit thicker like a shake instead of the traditional milk Tea is yummy and they have what seems like endless flavor options. We tried the lychee and the taro, they were delicious. she even gave us them in a recyclable two-drink cup holder. That was perfect for transportation in the car. We love getting this place on a cold night for when we have hangovers, it's pho-nomenal!

If you're okay with the attitude problem then go for it. The short girl with the nose piercing was rude AF. Ripped menu out of our hands before we were done ordering. She seemed upset that we decided to come and order food. Either train her or let her go man. Does she realize attitude affects her tips?

Service was good. But prices went way up since last time I was here. I usually get the #27 small and fresh spring roll. Everything tasted fresh and was hot for the cold weather. Service was good and fast.

This was just mediocre. One of my pet peeves is when places describe the dish as grilled but it ends up being stir fry. I would have gotten something else.Other than that, the staff was friendly, and the service was reasonable.

I ordered here a few days ago and it was good. But then I go to order today and they didn't even ask me which I wanted out of the options. So I clarified which protein. Then the lady asks me (rudely) do I know what I want. Then I said the same order. Then... She hangs up? They're so rude. Good food is cool but being kind and friendly matters more. Never ordering again. ?

This is a good pho shop. No nonsense attitude from the owner doesn't bother me at all. I think they do a good job here.

I dont usually leave low reviews, but I figured this would be useful. Im Vietnamese and Ive only ever had viet food this low in quality in Colorado.I ordered a small wonton noodle soup, a drink, and eggrolls. It came out to $28.The soup had puffy noodles that seemed to have been sitting in the broth for some time and the wontons were essentially just the wrapper with hardly any filling. I got extra noodles that were fresher but had a taste of bathroom soap?? Like the dish wasnt rinsed all the way. The broth wasnt flavorful either. The eggrolls were good, but three of them looked like they had been double fried to the point of being almost burnt-as if someone canceled an order and they reheated them. They didnt come with fresh lettuce either. Veggies that were included were soggy.I didnt expect amazing service because of the reviews, but didnt realize there wouldnt be service period. When I walked in, no one was there, then when the lady came out she just said « To go? » and walked back into the kitchen. Neither of them looked at me, even when I spoke some polite Vietnamese.I think they dont get a lot of customers anymore so they just reheat what they have which is why food comes out quickly. Its a bummer, I wanted to like this place! Its kind of a sad establishment, it could be really good if there was some effort and fresh food.
Asked for veggie egg rolls gave us pork and lied saying it was vegetarian pork and we're allergic also filled half my cup with ice and hardly any Thai tea the chopsticks had old cilantro on them. My main issue was the pork egg rolls. Disgusting, I was so excited to come eat here since it's down the street and I haven't ate pho in 2 years :'(

Should have looked at the reviews before ordering. Ordered through Uber. The order arrived wrong. When I called and tried to explain and make arrangements for a correct order, the man who answered hung up the phone. I called back two more times and he hung up on me again. On the fourth try a woman answered. Said "we will fix it next time" and hung up again. Don't know how the food is because I didn't try it. But I can imagine if this is how the they handle customer complaints, the food is probably subpar was well.

Lovely food and great taste. I ordered it and within five minutes it was ready. The seafood and the roll was tasty and very fresh. I liked the spicy sauce for the pho. One star less is just because I requested for a bowl or something to eat because I had a take out and was staying in a hotel. I wish there was some plastic bowl and also their fork was small and weak. It almost broke when I tried eating the food. Thankfully I had other plastic fork which was strong. Food wise its amazing but assisting the take out customers will help.

Overall bad experience. Bad at taking orders. Waitresses acted like they didn't want us there. Kept messing our orders up and acted like it was our fault. I'd give less than 1 star if i could.
