Total classic spot! So small and intimate. Got to know the crew! They are busy but, friendly and will chat over the hustle and bustle. I got the pepper steak planned on taking half home. I got to chatting an ended up killing that thing. It was super tasty and filled me up for the day! Had a conversation with an old guy who's been coming since forever ago and everyone in there was a regular. Will def be back!

Service is great! Sandwiches are uniquely different in a good way. The put these pickles that are to die for if you like pickles. Def recommend

Had a very delightful Italian Sub sandwich here which was excellent. I particularly liked the chopped pickles and tomatoes that were placed on top and the dressing was really good too. The roll itself was delicious too. I didn't notice on the menu that cheese was extra ($2 wow!) as I feel like it's usually included on an Italian Sub. The place is tiny (the size of a large shack) but they have 4-5 stools at their counter. More seating outside in the back. Dru (the owner) is very friendly and is making the sandwiches about an arm's length from the counter. She makes every one of them herself too. On my way out, she gave me a fist pump and asked my name, and said great, now we're family. I have no doubt she'll remember me next time. It's that kind of place! Parking on the street and in the back. The profile says no Apple Pay but they do take it.

Great authentic Italian. Sub with quality meats . Bread is soft not as crusty as I'm used to but defiantly a good place to grab a sandwich to go at reasonle price

I was looking for a local sandwich shop on the way and found DeFranko's Submarines. Ordered Pastrami sandwich with everything. It was big, it was good made and it was delicious. It is a family-owned local sandwich shop, which has been there for decades serving the community. Although it is a small place, but had sitting area in the back, and parking is not an issue on the street (at least I never had one). Staff is friendly. It is a small gem in town. I came back afterwards to their other sandwiches as well as the popular turkey sandwich. Enjoyed it. Good to DeFranco's in town. Good luck.

To be fair it's been a minute since I have gone... that being said, I won't ever go back just based on the interaction with the lady that runs the place. She's rude, to my face rude. I don't want to pay those prices for rudeness. The food is good, the shack is tiny and cramped and the service stinks. There is no ambiance, just a box w a few seats and a rude lady yelling at you to hurry up and read the menu already...and there was no one behind me in line either. Won't go back

BEST SANDWICHES IN THE WORLD!!!! I wish they had other locations because now if I want to have DeFrankos I have to drive an hour and a half to get some, but it's dam worth the drive.

I ordered the pepper and steak. It was a decent sandwich. The meat was good but the bread was too much. Every bite felt like a mouth full of bread. Also I think it would've tasted better if they cooked the onions with the meat instead of putting it raw.

My favorite pastrami sandwich! Warm and loaded with the veggies on top. Great portion size, and always hits the spot!

We loved our 1st visit to DeFranko's. It's amazing how the 3 person team can serve the steady stream of patrons in such a small establishment! The sandwiches were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We both ordered the pepper steak...very well-seasoned and HUGE! The prices were affordable too. If you haven't tried DeFranko's...you definitely don't know what you're missing!

Food is bonkers good. Ask for pickles on the side, it's worth the extra couple of bucks. Service is genuine, it reminds me of what you will find on the east coast. There is no glitter, there is no magic, there is no fusion... it's a legit sandwich shop. Oh and they have Dr. Browns soda... that's a must have with your bite.

Delicious! I used to go to Matt and Tony's and this place is the perfect replacement since they closed. Food is bomb

The sandwiches are always tasty! They tend to run out of soft bread quickly so be quick to order! Also a bit pricy but the portion size is great. It's a very small shop so make sure to either order ahead of time online or call for pick up. This is my grandpa's favorite place to eat whenever he comes down from Palmdale to visit us!
