“After sailing in nasty conditions we pulled into marina del Rey and hoofed it over to this Chinese place for lunch. I had eaten there 20 years ago... that alone reveals they are doing something right... to survive decades in that trendy neighborhood is really something. When our delightful waitress found out we were sailors, she gave us some free stuff (strange anti-dirt lover mystical Chinese tea). She said we ordered too much food but we said we don't care- bring it! She was right we ordered too much but now we have leftovers. Anyway- in this day and age where prices have doubled and portions have evaporated, it is nice to eat at a place where the vibe is amazing and the food is abundant. We will be back!“

“The more I come here, the more I appreciate it. The portions are great, at a really fair price and I love everything I've tried. Really solid if you're trying to get protein on a budget.Parking: If you're coming during a really busy hour, there will be very few parking spots, but people are in and out quick so a spot opens up fast.“

“THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! I don't understand why they only have 3.7 stars. The food is very good and the place is simple and pleasant. My husband and I had shrimp rice, fried pork wontons, broccoli beef and Mongolian beef, everything was really delicious. In the end they gave us cookies we will be happy to return soon ?“

“Xiao long bao is excellent. Beef noodles are flavored just right. Beef is very tender. Noodle texture is perfect. Braised pork belly is very yummy. One suggestion is to slice the pork belly thinner. It's hard to eat a large chunk and get all the layers.“

“The food was so authentic it stunned my mom. I've never seen her so pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. It's hard to find dishes like Liangpi and Big Plate Chicken outside of China, and even if you can the flavors are often diluted. The noodles here were perfectly chewy, the stew in the BPC was rich and thick (rivaling Dolan's even). And the prices aren't bad at all. We'll be coming here again, and exploring their other locations too.“

“2024 update: dined in for the first time and was underwhelmed with the food. Chickpea curry is decent, kaya toast is decent. The dan dan noodles are straight up not good! Extremely salty and fatty. Skipped dessert (unheard of for me) because the main dishes already made me feel so heavy and unhealthy.2022 takeout review: The laksa is incredible. It is easily two meals (can serve two people). I'm not a spice person and this was at the upper end of my spice tolerance but not too spicy. A side of clay oven bread is really good to dip in it. My only complaint was I ordered takeout and my order was ready 15 minutes later than the original estimate.“
