The food is hot and taste alright but… I got 1 burrito and 2 tacos and it came out to about $28 dollars. That’s not okay, 1 taco is $6, that is way overpriced. And on top of that they ask for tip 15%+

Pais $20 for a chicken and beef burrito and they stuffed it will 90% of rice , didn't get 10% value of the protein , I won't recommend going here if this is how they intend to reap people

Mexico Viejo is one of my fav lunch spots!!! We go here all the time and determined that their extra hot sauce is our FAVORITE - it has a great blend of heat and flavor! It can get busy around lunch time, but you can also call in orders ahead of time (which we often do) and they have it ready when you get there. We really love their Colorado burrito and rolled tacos - the burrito is the size of my entire forearm! There's limited seating inside of the restaurant with some tables out front that they share with neighboring restaurants. One thing I really want to add is how sweet the woman is that works the register/answers the phone. She has always been so kind, patient, and hard-working. She's there every time we come in and always smiles and asks how we're doing. We love supporting this business and appreciate the quality and consistency in their food! PS. Don't forget to order the spicy carrots. It's a must for me whenever I come in :)

Really good Mexican food, very friendly and good customer service. The best place to get carne asada fries!

All Around Classic Mexican. It's hard to get bad Mexican food in San Diego county. And this place is another testament to that. I had the Adobada combo plate and it was very filling. (I was too hungry to take pictures) If you have kids, you could get one combo and feed 3 of them with leftovers after. Also they had a 20% off coupon at the door for their grand opening, so if you're looking for another great Mexican spot, don't wait to swing by. And while you're in Vista you can grab a coffee at one of the many spots or swing by Handles for ice cream after.

If you're craving a classic, flavorful carne asada burrito, this is a great spot! Not too much pico , not too much guac and mostly carne! On point! Carne is very tasty and the tortilla is cooked well! Amazing. Gracias Mexico Viejo! I'll be back to explore more of that yummy menu!

Best Mexican food in the area. Been coming here for over 10 years, love the people, still the same people I've seen since I worked at a machine shop in the area over 10 years ago. Won't disappoint.

The red chilaquiles are my favorite thing on the menu! VERY SPICY. Not for the weak. Even I usually order an extra side of sour cream to contain the heat. I've tried the green chilaquiles and those are flavorful & the eggs on top are always cooked to perfection. The rice & beans don't miss either. Staff is nice and service is quick, which makes it all even better =)
