Food is fine, for what it is (what do you expect from Papa John's?), but they have INCREDIBLY slow delivery. Like glacial. My phone is full of messages saying they are sorry that my order is taking longer than expected. The pizza tracker will usually get stuck on step 3 ("preparing") for over an hour until they finally break down and get someone from Doordash to deliver it. Definitely not a place to order from if you have hungry children - it's faster to drive to Safeway, pick up a frozen pizza, and cook it yourself (at about 1/5 the cost, too).

I tried to talk to him in person but he acted as a child, he was ignoring me all the time and he said he won’t pay me tips because “their policy” that I didn’t work for a long period of time and that he gave that money to the other employees (which is not true, because I asked them). Working many hard days until 2am and don’t get paid it’s not fair.It’s the owner of Papa Johns Walnut Creek, the one in Concord, one Kabob restaurant as well and a couple more in Concord.

I ordered two pizzas ($80 with delivery) the pizza's arrived tossed and folded in the box with the cheese stuck to the top of the box and folded in half. I called about a refund. The manager told me to text a picture of the pizza to a cell phone number which I did and he said I would receive a refund in a few days. then hung up on me. I never got a refund and tried calling customer service 3 times. I finally called the store back and got the same guy on the phone. He said he would have to pass my number along to upper management then hung up on me before I even got a chance to give him my number. Just a heads up, if they mess up your order you're stuck with it.

Wrong order they send a dry, boring, tasteless bread stick instead of chicken. Better check your delivery before sending out.
I always come here when I'm in the East Bay it's just easier for me to roll through Walnut Creek than to try to tackle the Clayton location which can add on to 30 minutes due to traffic. I'd mainly order from the app but honestly I've never had any issues. It comes out perfect every time. Thank you. Walnut Creek papa Johns.

What a terrible experience I had today! Papa johns was our family’s pizza place in Walnut Creek. We always order pizza on the phone and sometimes have to order super Hawaiian pizza in the store, because their specialty pizza promotion code only for in store ordering. So as usual I ordered two specialty pizzas, but this time they just can’t add stuffed crust on my orders( of course extra cost, we’re done the same thing at least 20 times) and plus they charged me two different prices and tried not give me the recipe in the end.( cause I can’t see any details when I paid). I asked and saw that receipt then found out only one order applied the promotion code. I went back ask why is that, they told me it’s limit one order at a time?! But why didn’t you tell me at the beginning? I had your flyer on hand and ordered two specialty pizzas with the price on there! Then you just decided give me another price! ? What a joke!Listen, I don’t want to force you to do anything please at least do the same thing to your customers! you know you’re doing the neighborhood business right? I can see how you ruined your business and thanks to you that I have to explore other pizza places in Walnut Creek. Good luck!

Horrible experience at this place last night, I was craving pizza after work so decided to visit this location. First, we walked in and weren't even acknowledged, we straight up waited around 5 m to somebody come and say something but not even that. The person came and I had to walk up to him and ask if I can place an order. Okey, whatever maybe he was busy, I place my order, waited for around 20 minutes and get the pizza and we get one full of jalapeño when the only modifications we asked for was half tomato sauce, half Alfredo, add pepperoni, tell me how to you get confused with jalapeños?!!! Then we asked again for half tomato half Alfredo, he says okey only 5 m It will be ready, which doesn't make sense you don't make a pizza in 5 minutes. We asked and explained again, a Garden Fresh, add pepperoni, half tomato sauce and half Alfredo. We get the pizza after 20 minutes and it's full of cheese with barely food in it, and of course it looked good, barely toppings but okey I will take it. On the way back to my house I stared picking on my pizza because I am starving and the pizza has no tomato sauce !?? Seriously? Alfredo sauce was for my husband, I don't like Alfredo sauce. I was pissed at the time. However, I said maybe I am just hungry, I start eating and I find a piece of plastic in the pizza... !!!!! You kidding with me !!??? I waisted my time, my money, I was hungry, and by the time everything else was closed to get food. Horrible place, horrible ambiance, horrible service, horrible food. I called the next day 3 times to get a refund and I am still getting the answer of " let me call my manager to see if I can give u a refund ". Are u serious!!?? And even then the person I spoke to says " no you didn't ask for that you asked for garlic and Alfredo sauce not tomato" how I am even close to sound like that and even more when I have to re ask and re order my pizza. Then I say "anyway i found plastic in my pizza I need a refund I am not eating this" I see a question for your manager for bad service or a food complaint of taste but dude I found a f****** plastic in my pizza. The pizza that was made wrong!!!! Don't ever come in here because you would be disappointed. I have the pictures of the plastic I felt in my mouth and maybe you can also see how there was barely tomatoes or mushrooms on the pizza I got.
They seem to struggle with making breadsticks. The pizza is okay, but the breadsticks need help.
