Food is fine, for what it is (what do you expect from Papa John's?), but they have INCREDIBLY slow delivery. Like glacial. My phone is full of messages saying they are sorry that my order is taking longer than expected. The pizza tracker will usually get stuck on step 3 ("preparing") for over an hour until they finally break down and get someone from Doordash to deliver it. I always come here when I'm in the East Bay it's just easier for me to roll through Walnut Creek than to try to tackle the Clayton location which can add on to 30 minutes due to traffic. I'd mainly order from the app but honestly I've never had any issues. It comes out perfect every time. Thank you. Walnut Creek papa Johns.
The pizzas are very tasty and always plenty of cheese, which for me is a must on a pizza. The Papa John's Pizza location on Newhall is near my home and I have found that going there the price of the pizza is probably about half the price as getting it delivered.
