Rossmoor Diner is hands down the best breakfast spot I've come across in the Contra Costa area. My friends and I frequent this charming restaurant for our breakfast gatherings, and we're always greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The menu offers a fantastic variety of delicious options to satisfy any breakfast craving. Whether it's their mouthwatering omelets, fluffy pancakes, or perfectly cooked eggs, each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. Terrible food. The place is awful. I found a roach on my fruit salad. I told the owner and she refused to give me a refund and took the roach off the fruit salad with her hand. The bathroom smells. The owner is a very shady Asian woman who is very rude and sick in the head. Do not go here.

Let me explain the reasoning behind the rating. Food, is just mediocre, bland, lower quality ingredients. Very basic in prep, the breakfast is very basic and bland, be it a scramble, over easy, whatever. The lunch menu is the same, very basic prep, no frills. The prices, well, slightly overpriced for what you get. Ambiance, don't ask, it's so uninviting and sterile, it looks like a 90's conference room at a cheap hotel. Service, the wait staff is friendly and straight forward.Now, the downright gross, I can't get over how disgusting dirty the carpet is. It doesn't look like it's been cleaned in 10 years. The waking area is almost black, greasy and dirty.This place is mostly patronized by the local retired folks, the basic hospital grade food, the price/value, disgusting carpet and bland ambiance may be overlooked by the elderly, but it almost seems abusive that they go there, some with no choice because of their mental state, or disability, or widowed and don't want to go further from their community. I've only been out of necessity, but it would never be on my list if I was voluntarily choosing.

It's the place where my wife and I go also every week. It's her favorite place because now that she is permanently disabled in a wheelchair, it's a place where she can go and we can eat and she feels "normal". That's because they really treat us like family there.
This place says they are open until 2:30. I have gone there twice at a little before 2, only to fine the doors locked with customers inside

Don't take this the wrong way, but the food couldn't have been more off tasting. The bread was soggy and all ingredients are noticably generic and store bought.

Had dinner there recently on a Thursday and wow! ... my food was awful! I've never had to send back two soups in a row but I did there. The first was split pea soup with a very untraditional and awful taste. They used herbs which masked and messed up the pea flavor. Then the minestrone soup was way, way watery. The main course I sent back too, forgot what it was and then ordered a burger and requested medium rare. What could go wrong? Well it too was so-so but the accompanying potatoes steak fries were raw inside! How hard is it to cook potatoes? The dessert was also so-so, and the service was bad, (there was only one other table) and when I asked for the manager the waiter was evasive.
