Funky old dive that's been around for decades. I remember going with my parents in the 70s. Great burger. Garlic fries were loaded with garlic. If you want peanut butter for your garlic bread or steak, you have to ask for it now.

Cheap drinks and friendly service. What more do you need in a dive bar? My kind of place. I'll be back again.

Not recommended. At the time we were there, Fri 3/22/2024 the food service took close to an hour (not just for us, but other tables). No doubt they were understaffed that day (though they were very polite). Food quality was very average.

This place is a perfect fit for Locke. It's unique, rough around the edges, very friendly, with a dark bar in front, dollar bills on the ceiling, lots of memorabilia from days gone by in the walls, floors just a bit tilted. Small well lit dining room in the back with picnic tables. Clean tiny bathroom with creaky doors. Sometimes crowded, sometimes hardly anyone there. I suspect a lot of weekend folks come here after a day of hiking at the Consumnes reserve, or exploring the Delta. It can be very noisy weekend evenings. The food was great. My BLAT was full of bacon and avocado. My friends raved about the onion rings and the spaghetti. I had tater tots. They were crunchy and good and somehow they represent this place. Simple and good from the past.Kid-friendliness: During the day you could easily take the kids thru the bar to the little dining room. Lots of kids-friendly food in the menu. Hamburger, Mac and cheese, tater tots. Picnic table atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: A few of the tables would have enough room for a wheelchair at the end. But small area, tables close together, Its better for someone who could transfer and slide across the picnic bench and be able to sit without back support.

I had the best steak and mushrooms that I've had in years and years. I love the atmosphere because it's an old place. I remember all the dollars that they put on the ceiling. I had not been there in 40 years. I will be back Sandy

Great atmosphere, great food, excellent service. If you like a bar off the beaten path that has personality but will give you great food and a good time, Al's is the place.Cannot say enough good things about my time tonight.

The town is a fun old part of California's history.. The food at Al's is the best. Fish and chips are my favorite with a ice cold beer. Lockport ice cream parlor and old hotel down the road is worth a stop to cap a lunch or dinner.

A very cool bar/restaurant where you can throw money up the ceiling. The drinks were affordable compared to most bar here in Sacramento.

It's a cool spot to stop. I got the BLAT and thought it was pretty decent. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The place definitely has a unique vibe going on and it's in a cool historic spot. Worth a stop I think.

Main Street in Locke is very cute. Very hisroric, old Western feel. The street is not visible from the highway. This is a restaurant/ bar. Bar is in the front. It's one of a couple places you can eat in town. Standard American fare. Decent. It's a little bit dark in the back, but good for a quick bite.
