“We have been coming here since we arrived in town and it has become my favorite place. Not only to socialize and drink their great beers, but to work and grab a bite. Staff has been amazing and their events are always a blast. Every time I come in I can see all the work the new owners are putting into it and it just gets better and better!”
“I always see it on my drive into town but usually no one is there, but man the chai i got was great, and stayed warm about 2 hours into my drive. Definitely will come back on my drive to ”
“The food was amazing. Spring rolls, egg rolls, wonton soup and pad Thai. Everything is fresh and made to order. The owner is a delight, and proud of her high quality food. My husband and I are planning our next trip.”
“Stopped in for a harvest host overnight in our RV and had an excellent evening. Briana the bartender was friendly and attentive, their brewmaster, Marco was informative and friendly. We chatted about the future of beers and the interesting work they are putting into their new releases. The food was good and the view was excellent! Definitely worth stopping in!”
“Excellent food prepared by Juan and his awesome crew! We love their food and highly recommend it! Their meats are smoked and everything is prepared fresh! Yummy!!”
“Always a fun place to go but the lack of help is impacting service levels (like everywhere else that’s days). Needless to say we just sat back and made the best of it!”
“Beef processing and customer service is top notch. Love supporting a family run and owned business. There is no doubt about their passion, pride and knowledge of their work!”
“Drinks are great, service is really good, but the pastries are superb. Perfectly flaky crust, nice glass sugar dusting, and the filling if sweetinf, but not over powering. We got stuck overnight in Weed CA, but this little Café was definitely a highlight. Also be able to give the kids a little bit of internet made being stuck much more bearable.”
“Fast service and nice staff ? ? ?, they make such good drinks at this Starbucks ? . I'm definitely going back!! Even short staffed they make great drinks!Vegetarian options: They have all the milk substitutes and vegetarian food options as well.Dietary restrictions: I cannot have dairy products and they have all the substitute products for me.Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: They don't mind kids at all!!Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair access”
“Cedar Lanes to the rescue. If the Mt. Shasta crowds are too much, take the short drive north to Weed and Cedar Lanes. Get some good food and maybe bowl a game or two.”
“NOT your regular subway at all! The gals were outgoing, talkative and had me laughing the whole time I was in line and afterward. What a great experience , will definitely be back again, thanks y’all!”
“The service and the food were fast. The manager was hand picking stuff out of the salad bar without gloves. I understand it was an old building but the ceiling tiles were failing down. We go to a lot of Pizza Factorys all over since it originated in our home town. Needs some love and care to get us to go back. Pizza was dry, crust was good. Hardly any sauce. Got 2 large pizzas; 1 cheese pizza and 1 house special.”
“Clean bathrooms at this Pilot, cleaner than most other locations. Had a good variety of snacks, including a Cinnabon. Store is kinda odd to get in and out of, only reason I can't give it a full five-stars. Otherwise, this is a decent location, better than using the Weed rest area up I-5. Plus, it's Weed... they have plenty of Weed souvenirs.”
“This Subway is inside at Travel Center but it's not gas station food. Subway always rocks and their cookies are great. Some dude was totally high getting a sandwich before us. He said "yes" to every add on and "yes" to every doubling of every ingredient. He was so animated we couldn't help laughing. All said and done, it cost him $30!!! We were all shocked. The dude said, "I've never paid $30 for a sandwich before". The clerk had the best response ever. "You want a $30 sandwich, I'll make you a $30 sandwich. You want a reciept so you know what happened when you wake up." Epic. The travel center was cool also but not much local souvenir stuff.”
“This is one of the cleanest McDonalds I’ve ever been to in the US. It is large and the wait time was very quick. Food was very hot and tasted more fresh than other McDonalds.”
“My last visit warrants this response. My food was done right and the time was short and quickHappy to say it w as the fastest and best experience there in a long long ”
“Yaks Shack has the best atmosphere accompanied by the most amazing staff. Between their delectable food and their delicious drinks you will always find something you love here. Their music playlists and beautiful outdoor patio will guarantee your visit with fresh ambiance and all the small town charm perks. We love it here!”
“Adorei os dias que me hospedei, anfitrões atenciosos e carinhosos, um café da manhã excelente, uma vista maravilhosa, uma bela decoração, com uma história centenária! Vale muito a experiência!!!”
“As of March 2023, La Perla has the best Mexican food in Mt Shasta City. The street tacos are simple, but on-point with handmade tortillas. The birria is tasty and enchiladas are hot and made with enchilada sauce from scratch (not a can).Parking: Only room for a handful of cars, but you can park down the street”
“This place is perhaps one of the most innovative businesses I have seen in a very long time. It is a treasure trove of healthy and delicious food options. I highly recommend going here if you want a fulfilling meal that you dont have to feel guilty about. Thank you Alua for all you do.”
“My husband ordered the Seared Ahi sandwich and said it was the best sandwich he has ever eaten! Was still talking about it the next day! I ordered a burger and it was very delicious as well. Will definitely be eating there again when we visit the area next time! Thank you!”
“This is my favorite restaurant in town. In Shasta there aren’t many food options, so I’m SO GLAD Crave is here for us!! I always get their veggie pupusas and veggie nachos! It’s 10x better than the nachos at any of the wanna be Mexican restaurants in town. Also, Lydia is the absolute best and I love that they have an outdoor sitting area!”
“When I was on vacation with my husband, we were trying to find a good coffee spot other than Starbucks. Looked this place and up and decided to try it. We’re so glad we did. The coffee here is excellent, not to mention the lady who ran it was very sweet. On top of that, the selling point for us is that it’s veteran-owned. If you’re looking for a place that sells great coffee while supporting a veteran owned business, this is the place for you. 20/10 highly recommend. Wonderful little coffee stand.”
“Came here while on vacation in winter, sat at the bar and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was amazing, the server/bartender was great(I think I heard someone call him Chris?)Food was great. The side salad was beautiful and tasty. Adding beets makes a salad top notch! Had coors light on tap which is a bonus for us. TV’s playing sports and light music playing in the background. The scenery is beautiful. We will be back when we come back this way!”
“If you never had the chance to visit a North Beach Italian restaurant before SF was ruined by the tech bros, Mount Shasta has the answer. Gigi’s is a great little Italian restaurant with the original Italian-American style. Proud of their heritage- photos and great food to prove it. Fun spot. Well worth the morning. If you’re lucky, you might catch Gigi there. Hurry before he moves back to Italy!”
“Came here for brunch and had the best experience. Our waiter (and the manager of the place), Donny, was excellent. Took us a moment to remember him (my husband had a college class with him, and he served us at another restaurant for my 21st birthday). Still the sweetest man ever. Definitely will be back to eat there next year ❤️.”
“Wow, seems like a little known hole in the wall. But it should be a popular place. The panini was amazing! The Castle Lake panini, oh.my.god. so good! And the house merlot was dang good. Get thyself to the Whiskey Row Taphouse!! Sorry the picture is only like 1/4 th of the panini, because I was enjoying it too much to take a picture!”
“Absolutely is my favorite pizza on the mountain...and I have to add that another Angel in the Center field of Mount Shasta that allows so many folk to enter the front door in reprieve or safety... absolutely filled with Live and Respect..thank you thank you thank you... Katherine Goldenne”
“Super duper excruciatingly slow service but great food. Glad for an entire vegan menu ! Got the green curry with tofu and veggies - comes with jasmine rice. Well flavored, they seem to use a basil paste vs traditional green curry paste with shrimp etc. No complaints, we did want it vegan. Nice portion and came piping hot.”
“Great spot. Owner is a very talkative, engaging, nice guy. Love to see businesses operated engaging entrepreneurs. It’s a little pricey and the place could be cleaned up a little - but it’s great in its own way.”
