“First timer and was very pleased with the quality and diversity of the meats and side offerings. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed an unusually long and well respected 3 hour meal with family members we haven't seen in quite a while. Never felt rushed to exit and service was exceptional -- have been in very high end restaurants where server timing was not as good. At Shinobu, service seemed spot on, always available but not intrusive and we never felt rushed even with the 90 minute AYCE reality. Very much plan to come back even though we live an hour away.“

From grilled pork to egg rolls to soupy dishes, each has its own unique taste and ingredients reminding one of the various street food stall in Saigon. The service is outstanding. The owner and her workers are friendly and courteous. Customers are treated as if you are family and neighbors. By the way, the free "nước mát" (herbal drink) is icing on the cake...... The ambiance is cozy ; actually too cozy for comfort to some of you because the space is small. But, create your own ambience by ordering takeouts..... “This place seems to be a mom and pop shop located in a busy plaza under Seafood Cove 2. Growing up, I have had my fair share of roasted duck and I think it's safe to say that this place does it well. The duck is flavorful, juicy and not too bad with pricing. It's a small shop but the duck they sell, takes the prize. Considering the current pricing environment, $31 dollars for a full roasted duck is about market price. I will be back to try other things!“
“Hot Pot City is our go to place when we want hot pot but don't want to wait in a long line. It really is an underrated place for hot pot! There's 3 different broths to choose from: regular, spicy, and Thai, and we usually get a split pot of Thai and spicy for an additional price. They also have a grill surrounding the pot, so the pot is slightly small. There is a fridge in the back to get all your items: vegetables, meat, seafood, sides, butter, noodles, and sauces. There's also rice in the back that you can get yourselves. I really love the ribeye here. I feel like the plates are tiny, but the marination is delish! We also always get the salmon, fish balls, and vegetables. The restaurant isn't the cleanest, especially because there's the grill there. I definitely feel a bit dirty after leaving. Just think kbbq vibes lol. The prices were raised a LOT for the small plates, but still overall decent and I will definitely keep coming back!“
“This is a go to place when craving for roasted duck, peking duck or salted chicken and crispy pork shoulder or belly. The location is on Bolsa and Magnolia, the same parking space of Pho Lovers. This location is always busy and they accept cash only. There is an atm machine inside the store so if you forgot to bring, no big deal.The food is good and the staff are very friendly. I have been going here for 13 years. Definitely recommend this location?“
“I just bought some roast pork and roasted duck at this Hao Vi place yesterday 2/24/2024. Their food were very good as they advertised. The service was very nice and pleasant. Severs and cashier are very friendly and courteous. Definitely I will come back anytime when I am going to O.C.“
